I drove to concord from Sacramento with a 8,000 beneficiary personal check to cash. What happen to cash a check and receive all my money instead of holding it.

I have been a member since 2006. Been here for 3 ownership changes. Well I am writing a review because they are not a good bank in some many different ways. From internal sexual harassment that gets sweeped under the rug, having report incorrect accounts to credit bureaus, and now changing stipulations on existing accounts without notice. Super sad was a small bank for city workers and family now just an awful bank. Had one great teller at second street but she went away. I guess I will be bank shopping in the coming weeks.

Needs BETTER customer service. Bank tellers are rude and lack social intelligence. Glad I don't have to deal with this bank for too much longer.

A scheming company with questionable ethics. I would advocate strongly against anyone choosing this institution. They told me I would be approved, and required a $30 deposit, which I was told would be refundable. They advised I could leave and would know the status after 2 hours. I didn't receive a follow up, so called and was informed I wasn't approved. Was told that I had to authorize a statement in writing to close the account through email, and after two weeks, would receive the refund. So essentially paid $30 to be denied a loan, thanks.

I have been wanting to join this credit union for a long time . Finally I decided to go and become a member. They have really great customer service . Eugene assisted me and was very patient and answered any questions I had . He was also very personable . He even sent me a handwritten personalized thank you card. Who writes hand written thank you cards anymore . That's amazing !

Besides always getting superb service at the branches, UNIFY was always willing to jump through hoops for me. Leaving this review because they just jumped through a couple more hoops to deal with a complication re: my COVID stimulus check -- about half a year after I'd closed my account.

This is the best place to put your money. I love this credit union. The people who work there are very friendly and know a lot about banking. They are always there to give sound advice on what to do with your money. Glad I am a member.

The UNIFY Team are Top Notch !!! They are supportive in so many ways, and always go above expectations. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff help ensure your finances are secure and available when you need them. It is evident they enjoy what they do, and it shows in the work as well.

I've been a member of this credit union since I was en employee of the Port of Oakland. The team at this branch more than any other credit union or bank branch I've been to is friendly, helpful, and fast. The manager, who is often on the front line herself, has helped resolve issues that have come up through the Unify online systems. And the staff knows me so well that they are able to anticipate my needs and handle them swiftly. I love working with this credit union for both my personal and business accounts.

I got a car loan thru WFCU because they bought out my local credit union for the city of Oakland, CA. WFCU gets my lowest possible rating. First, they made a mistake with my loan account - charging me twice in one month. Second, they keep overdrawing my checking account which I had to open to get the car loan and I don't use. It's because they attached "insurance" and hidden fees they didn't inform me about. I just called them to straighten this out for the THIRD time, and was told I would have to call a toll free number to cancel the "insurance." I called the number, which is "currently unavailable, and the internet chat person told me that was the only number they had. Common wisdom is that credit unions and small banks give superior customer service. I've banked at huge Wells Fargo for 30 years. They hardly ever make mistakes, and when they do, they fix it the FIRST time with a courteous attitude. Once my car loan is paid off, I will NOT be doing business with WFCU again...ever.
