Worst experience ever. I reserved a passport appointment and came to the appointment on time. Their employees are extremely unprofessional and intentionally misleading. After making up reasons about the photographer having various random issues and having me wait for almost 2 hours. I was furious when they told me the guy canceled! What a waste of time. Never come here for any reason they were not helpful at all.

I have not received my mail in over 3 weeks! This is about the 4th time this has happened. Every time the manager says they lost the keys to my HOA’s mailbox which is NOT true! They are the most incompetent people running this office. It is not okay that I am without important mail for my mortgage and no one cares that i have received nothing!

They cannot find my mail:
This is one raggedy post office. I've complained about not receiving my mail for a month. They told me after a month of going there at least once a week, to call a complaint line. Smh

Unbelievably incompetent.
I'm not sure who the hell works here but its obviously not Oakland's best nor brightest. My package was supposed to arrive on Saturday March 8th. Instead it arrived at the Oakland dist center, (the side of the bay I live on), then went over to the sf dist center for some reason, and back to Oakland, pushing the delivery date out to Thursday march 13.
Eventually the tracker updates saying that my package just, couldn't be delivered. That's weird, I thought, USPS doesn't usually have an issue delivering my packages, they've done it before without issue. Whatever, probably a new driver that can't be bothered. I call the help line to see if there's any information I can give to make the delivery easier. The lady on the other end of the line tells me that the package is INELIGIBLE FOR REDELIVERY-remember that that part's important. And that I would have to pick it up Friday the 14th, and that the post office its at is closed over the weekend.
So I show up to this post office today at around 4:20 PM, around when they close just to make sure they have it, and head inside. Gentleman behind the counter informs me its not back there, and asks for a tracking number. When I pull up the tracker I find that lo and behold, REDELIVERY WAS ATTEMPTED, BUT MY PACKAGE COULDNT BE DELIVERED AGAIN and that I would have to wait until the 15th to pick it up. That wouldn't be a problem except this post office is CLOSED on the weekends, so I have to wait until MONDAY to MANUALLY PICK UP a package that was supposed to be delivered LAST SATURDAY.
Good lord it cannot be this difficult to do your job, figure it out!

The employee working at the far-right window provides poor and unprofessional service. Their attitude towards customers is not welcoming, and they do not handle requests with proper professionalism. I hope management addresses this issue to improve customer experience

February 2025 by Ricardo
After trying several zip codes to find a passport appointment, I used OAK Airport's zip code and got what seems to be the only appointment in the bay area for the month of February. I arrived for my appointment 15 minutes before and was helped right away by David, he was great, attentive, polite and very helpful. I rarely leave reviews but this location has so many negative ones I had to comment with my experience and help this post office because there was literally nothing to complain about. Thank You for the help David, as a brand new American citizen and applying for my first United States Passport you made it a breeze.

ARE YOU MISSING MAIL? KEEP READING!!!
I need answers! On Thursday, February 6, 2025 (pay attention to this date) I went to the Pardee post office to pick up a package and my residential mail that I requested to be held for pick up (tax season and too many mailbox thefts) First, no one could locate my package despite the tracking information indicating it was scanned at the post office and placed in my PO Box, but of course there was no package in my box and it took them two days to find it in a completely different overflow bin. But that’s not what prompted this review. When the Clerk brought my mail, there was so much he had to go and get a large postal bag to put it all in. So I began to wonder why do I have so much mail and I had only recently initiated the hold request a week and a half prior. Because there was so much mail, it took me a few days to actually start going through it. Well, to my surprise, there were over 100 pieces of mail individually placed inside of a plastic USPS courtesy bag with a pre-printed letter on the front of the bag saying “we are sorry that your mail was damaged….” Let me remind you, there are over 100 pieces!!! Here’s where it gets really bad!!! Every piece of mail had been opened; you know, the way we slip our thumb into the corner flap and rip it open? Yeah like that, EVERY PIECE🤬🤬 oh it gets worse!!! All of this mail, my mail that was clearly opened by someone at the post office dates all the way back to 2020 up until 2023!!! ARE YOU FKG KIDDING ME!!! I am not exaggerating when I tell you that every single piece of my mail for three years was opened and sitting over there at that post office! A great deal of which had personal identification information on it as if someone decided that they were just going to intercept my mail, open it up and see what they could get. I am beyond pissed off and I’m going to get some answers because how do you hold on to someone’s missing mail for four years! Had I not requested a hold on my mail, I would have never discovered the blatant criminal activity going on over there🤬🤬 Whoever you are, I’m coming for you, bet…

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I frequently drop off items for work, including packages and express mail. Each time I request a receipt or ask them to add tracking—because our postage machine doesn’t support tracking—I’m met with excuses instead of assistance. They’ll claim things like, 'You’re using an old Express label; it won’t scan,' without even attempting to try, or 'We can’t add tracking,' despite the fact that I’ve paid for it. If the staff here don’t want to do their job, perhaps they should consider a role that doesn’t involve customer interaction. Unfortunately, since there isn’t another post office nearby, I’m stuck dealing with this frustrating experience.

December 2024 by Victor Lee
I was getting a building permit from the city and they required me to mail all my neighbors within 300 feet radius with certified mail on or before December 20, 2024.
As first, i went to the closest USPS branch to the project in 9201 international Oakland, CA. David told me to go to the main post office in 8495 Pardee Drive. I fall in line and after reaching the counter, Ricardo loudly REPRIMANDED me to do it on line and he can only take 10 out of 100. I told him that 9201 international branch instructed me to bring them here. Ricardo was so mad that he insisted that i need to do it on line and i asked him how to do it online and he didn't know. Ricardo was so upset and rude to me and he returned the three mails doing only 7 certify mails this time. I told him that i dont either want to do this but its required by the city. After he was not doing anything, i requested for the supervisor and he told me at first that the supervisor will tell me the same thing but after i insisted for the supervisor, he told me to wait.
Finally his coworker Robert was kind enough to gradually do 20 pieces more but prioritizing the people on line first. I waited for more than 2 hours but the supervisor didnt come. With not much time left because i need to go to miami that night December 16. So i when back to David of 9201 international branch again to try some luck before 5pm. Then again David with high and loud voice shouted at me that tell them(pardee Dr branch) they need to do it.
Ricardo was so unprofessional and arrogantly treated me as a customer. Hiding his supervisor for him to do whatever he wants.
Upon arriving in Miami, the wonderful black lady in 8880 SW 8 street, miami did all my 73 pcs of certifief mails left.
Im not sure what kind of service these two branch are treating their customers after millions of taxes being paid to them annually.
Thank you for giving this matter your highest attention and hope Ricardo will not dobthe same to other customers because we the taxpayers are the one paying their salary. Thsnks
