My mom and I stayed for a few days at Christmas. The young man who checked us in was polite and professional. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The next day was Christmas Eve, and we had a nice breakfast with the other guests. Breakfast was simple and good. I have stayed here before, and usually there are a lot of construction personnel staying here. For this holiday, it was quiet. And the few of us staying here had friendly conversations. Thanks to the staff, who worked hard on the holiday. I will stay there again when coming back to visit relatives! Half the family is in Antioch and the other in Oakley/Brentwood. So, it's a perfect location. PS. Mack's Old Place is nearby. It's a favorite old restaurant of ours, and it has been serving great food for decades!Rooms: It was clean and well maintained. The 2 queen beds were comfortable. Was a good setup!Nearby activities: Mac's

I had the exact same experience as another reviewer one month ago. The hotel advertises as pet friendly. I show up with my 10 lb dog after driving all day to get here. The clerk says we don't have any more pet friendly rooms and we will have to charge a $150.00 deposit plus you will be charged $250.00 cleaning fee if there is any evidence of a pet in the room. There are signs in the elevator saying, no pets allowed in any rooms. This is not the definition of pet friendly. Additionally, the room was 8o degrees when we walked in, the air conditioning system was inadequate and ran constantly but the temperature never got down below 75 degrees and the room was stuffy as if there was no circulation. There is a box mounted to the wall that buzzes constantly,The window has sheer curtains, no drapes that can be closed and a street light shinning right on the bed. The hotel was noisy with kids playing in the hallways. I did not get a good night rest and generally had a poor experience. I dont know if ive been charged a $250.00 cleaning fee yet. I've cleaned the room and taken video. I would not recommend this hotel and question the legality of their business practices.

I’m currently staying at this motel and I’m appalled at their lack of customer service staff at the motel as well as at the corporate level. We came in town for a funeral and requested a 2 hour late check out and we were willing to pay a late fee for the extra time. We were told no because they lacked the staff to stay late to clean the room. Mind you staff that leaves at 3:00 pm. We then asked why they couldn’t clean the room last and they said they were unwilling to accommodate us. I asked to speak with the manager and was told no one was available. I completely understand why this motel has 2 stars. I could understand if the motel was booked for the day…it’s completely empty and I understand why. I will never stay at this motel again or any other Best Western motel. And I will advise all my family and friends not to patronize this business or any business associated with this motel. Again we are here for a funeral and you can’t give us 2 hours?? Wow…people have no sense of compassion in this world…where are we in the world where we can’t show compassion to a grieving family set to bury their father today.

Worst check-in experience ever. They say they're pet friendly online. They quote you a reasonable price as you reserve your room online. The online reservation process does not ask any pet related questions. It gives you a confirmation number. Then you show up and they tell you that the room they reserved for you is not pet friendly, and they're sold out of pet friendly rooms, because they only have four (4) such rooms in the entire hotel. Further, they say that in order to rent you a non-pet-friendly room with a pet, they have to charge you an extra $250, even if you're only staying there one night. This is highway robbery, as they could have easily expanded their reservation process to avoid this issue. As if that's not enough, their payment system had three problems. 1) There was an out of order sign on the "Tap" feature. 2) It took two minutes to process the payment the second time and actually timed out in the first attempt. 3) believe it or not, the system would not confirm the total we were paying. After over 90 seconds, the Accept button would appear, but the area that was supposed to display the amount you are being asked to accept just continued to say, "Please Wait." The attendee told us it would never give us a total and we'd just need to hit Accept. She couldn't tell us the total either, saying we'd find out what it cost when were check out. Are you serious?? To add insult to injury, the night clerk couldn't find the checkin paperwork that listed our son's name (hard copy/paper) so they wouldn't let him into the hotel. I still don't know how much we paid there, as they haven't emailed my receipt and it's been two days. Now I need to call them and deal with their incompetence again. Argh!

Clean rooms and a decent breakfast. Travelers beware this is a high crime area though and multiple cars were broken into at this location.

The check in person had terrible customer service. She was too busy talking to some lady to check us in properly. She made sure to tell us all the things she would charge us for, but didn't mention breakfast or any other anmenties. Her rudeness took at least an hour to get over. The breakfast was a disappointment. They served soggy breakfast sandwiches. The pancake machine didn't work. No regular milk. Other than that the hotel was beautiful! Being a rewards member doesn't mean anything so we won't be back.

Very nice hotel. Our room was clean and well appointed. If there were no staff interactions this would have been a five star stay, however some of their desk staff have baffling customer service skills. The check in lady was awesome. She was friendly and aptly explained all the details of the stay and facility. Later after arriving to our room, we checked out the sofa bed our kids would be sleeping on. It already had sheets on it which was interesting. Hoping for the best, we thought, maybe they made it up for us already. Well, it appears to have been remnants of previous guests stay, there was food crumbs and various scum on the sheets. No problem, just an oversight we assumed. We then called the front desk, however the friendly lady had departed and an unmotivated and seemingly quite lazy employee had taken the reins. She was very quick to inform me that I would have to come down and get new sheets myself. Fine, we can do that. She then states “I can only give you one pillow (there were none in the room for the sofa bed.) Now that was interesting, one pillow for two kids. Apparently they don’t have enough pillows for each guest to have one, which was unbelievable. Upon asking the reason for this when retrieving new sheets, this special desk associate confirmed they don’t have a lot of pillows. After returning to our room with our one pillow and new sheets, we realized there was not a fitted sheet, nor a pillow case for that one special pillow. Upon returning to the front desk to get a pillow case it became evident this lady didn’t know what a pillow case was as she gave us another zipping pillow protector. If this was the end of the issues we could give four stars, however there was more.Sunday morning around 7:30, I’m awakened by the room phone ringing and the front desk fella (young man with big ole hairdo) accusing us of noise. He stated “we had a noise complaint and we think it’s coming from room ### (our room number.) Well seeing that I and both kids were still in bed sleeping and my wife had just got up and went to the restroom, the noise wasn’t coming from us. (Nor did we hear other neighbors making noise) I then went to check with the front desk on what they do to verify a noise complaint before calling random rooms and accusing them of making too much noise. Apparently they do nothing, as the young lady working with big hairdo man confirmed they were calling multiple rooms about the noise. She stated they were calling to try and figure out what was going on, and that they thought a noise complaint at 7:00 am was kind of strange. A possible suggestion would be to get off your haunches and take the elevator right next to your desk, go upstairs and take a listen for yourself, rather than calling all your guests and accusing them of making noise. This wasn’t the way we preferred to start our day, but it was the kind of class in service the hotel provided. The negatives were not earth shattering, but nonetheless very annoying. There are other options worth considering in the area. And, if you have any spare change maybe donate it to the front desk so we can help these people get some pillows!

I am always pleased with this establishment. always very clean and everything worked. My only issue is the tv's have no closed caption. I tried to access it on the controller but it wouldn't allow me to do so. It is not good for me I have a little loss of hearing and had to turn the volume up extremely loud to hear. Thank you once again for a very clean environment. I tipped my service lady for she works very hard to keep her rooms very clean. A. JerniganRooms: Very very clean. It would be nioce to see the bathrooms a bit more homey, pictures etc.

I had a reservation at this location and came in at 1am. The front desk person denied me my room and said she couldn’t do anything because “she was auditing her day”. She offered no explanation as to what that meant and simply said, “I can’t check you in right now, you’re welcome to go to a different hotel”. I had two exhausted children with me. I offered to give her my confirmation number and she stated that the confirmation number was useless. She then asked what my last name was and I told her what it was and she said that there was no reservation under that name. I then called corporate to ask about my reservation which they confirmed was in fact existent and current, but she told them that she was auditing her day and couldn’t see my reservation. She was rude and condescending in her interactions with me to the point of being scary. At that point my husband and I decided to leave and not argue about our reservation further being that her mental state was abnormal and she had the ability to make a key to any room in that hotel. We simply feared for our safety. I had to leave with my tired children. While on the phone with corporate they informed me of an additional $150 fee to cover damages that weren’t originally charged in the initial reservation. At this point, I refused because I felt that she could make anything up and rob us of $150 because this was never mentioned in my initial reservation. It seems like she does this regularly. I will never stay at a best western again and you should avoid this location at all costs. She looked like she was on drugs. Her name was Diana and she was African American.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Better yet avoid better western in general... We showed up at this sketchy location with people hanging out in their van in the parking lot. We reluctantly walked into the lobby where a broken FORTY was spilled all over the lobby floor with no hotel staff to be seen anywhere. We then get off the elevator to people hanging out in the hallways, forty's in hand, yelling at each other. Honestly felt like a tweaker den. We did not feel safe staying there and left that night driving to another hotel 20 minutes away.... As we walked out again we could not find staff anywhere (glass/liquid still all over the floor)... Now we are finding out upper management at this location refuse to give us our money back after we were advised to leave the location by their own customer service. HORRIBLE PLACE and HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Avoid this sketchy a** place at all costs.

Currently unhappy with my first experience with best western. They have definitely not earned my future business. I had a late night flight cancelation and a 3 location work week (Seattle to Portland to Seattle, then Oakley. They refused to budge a finger to change or cancel my reservation. This is my first time trying them out, and all I heard is them bragging about how full they can make the hotel, and nothing about how to help me. Why can't you cancel my reservation after 4pm if you can fill up the hotel so fast, and you have people on a waitlist to get a reservation.None of this was helpful, I even asked to speak with the manager, and the woman stated that she was the manager. She then proceeded to brag about how quickly she is filling up her hotel. I told her that this is not a great first experience working with your company for the first time, and I'm unsure I will have future business with best western due to how they are treating a new customer. I would not recommend working with them. I will keep my business with Marriott and Hilton. They bend over backwards for their customers, and happily cancel or change reservations last minute for my and my colleagues.Sorry to the manager who states that their policy is better, but I was kind and didn't want to argue with you over the phone. But Hilton and Marriott are not going to get bent out of shape about keeping $150 from a customer. They rather maintain quality customer service than treat a customer as you have.

I stayed here over the weekend to get away. The checking in went really well. After I checked in an employee tried to come into my room at night. The second disturbance was the security asking me If I smelled any smoke. Check out is at 11am, around 9:35 another worker tried to come into my room while I was taking a shower. To conclude I got charged as a smoking fee and I did not smoke in the room! I called the manager asked to speak with her she did not really help and told me she does not have housekeeping at night, which is pretty odd considering somebody unlocked my door the night before. I asked for her first name and last name which she did not want to provide but insisted she was the general manager. These employees and the manager are not good at providing customer service, very unprofessional. I will never go back and if I were you I wouldn't book until they get a whole new team.
