The property is beautiful, especially on a rainy day! When booking a tasting, the guide can make or break the experience at the winery. Our guide not even 20 minutes into the tasting was trying to get us to buy the $500 Cabernet Sauvignon and we had not even tried the Cabernet SauvignonThe sales pitch continued throughout the tasting, which annoyed us but tried to make the most of it.

Kirk was an amazing tour guide. The grounds were beautiful and this tour is a must. You will not be disappointed.

Visually and tastefully moving experience. The overwhelming peaceful grounds moved me to tears. Our ambassador Jess was patient, insightful and made our experience unforgettable. The tunnel, Dutch cheese and depth of history was honest and personable. An experience I will never forget. My next visit I would just like to sit for hours looking at the grounds in a chair drinking my Dolce.

What a fantastic experience! Our family member who lives close by has a wine club membership here and scheduled our tour and tasting. The scenery and entry is stunning. Michael was very experienced and did an extraordinary job as our guide defining the processes used and detailed tour. We couldn’t resist to purchase several bottles after the tasting. Highly recommended! Make sure to get your reservations well in advance. Enjoy! ???

We really enjoyed this tour and tasting. The place is beautiful and John was great. Wish the pours were a little more generous, but liked the cheese pairings.

Really bad attitude from the security guy. He wasn't friendly at all and really really mean. I don't recommend this place.

I wish I could give this place a negative star, which is my first time doing that on Yelp. This is the first winery ever in my life with a security guard. We were planning to come in and join the wine club based on what we heard, but they would not allow you in without a reservation.Well, fine then. We wanted to take photos from outside the property entrance and leave. The security guard was strict and a terrible guy with a lot of bad words I want to use. We took a photo but her purposely blocked the path. This is a bald older guy.If a place wants to be this exclusive, why advertise it publicly on social media? I feel like Far Niente is lying for this kind of stance on visitors and hiring an "A" security guard.

The most beautiful property for sure. We did a tasting and were treated to a few other wines from their nickel and nickel brand. Wine is incredible, and only reason we didn’t buy anything or do the club was it was our first stop and we can get most of the wines at a local wine shop. But smooth and well crafted wine. Tour their caverns below the house to get the best experience.

One of my faves when I went to Napa. Reserved a tasting and tour in advance and it was so worth it! Had our own room for the tasting and the tour was really cool. You get to go underground in the caves. Really fun! They also have a classic car collection that you can see through the garage door (super dope) but they no longer let people in because of course one person ruined it for everyone and spilled wine on one of them. Our tour guide was very informative AND funny which was a plus! It’s a beautiful property as well. Spend some time by the pool/bar as well as the lake. It’s beautiful! The wine was amazing! My fave was the merlot we tried and I normally don’t like Merlot. They paired them all with a specific wine and cheese which were all good and got to see what the wine tasted like before and after the pairing. They also give military a discount (half off) which is an amazing deal for what you receive. I would definitely go here again!

I did a tasting season on the patio and it was beautiful! Shot out to the wine educator Curt. He is knowledgeable and willing to show us different vintage of Cab. End up bought a 17 and a 19 cab, they are GOOD

Our private tour was hands down amazing. Howard was incredibly hospitable and knowledgable about the vineyard and its inter workings. From the caves to the rooftop tasting room this was fantastic. The food and the wine pairings were out of this world delicious. I highly recommend the caves tour with Howard. He also gave us great advice about other places to visit in the valley. What a great day!
