gym has most everything you need besides a few things like a conventional t-bar and some other things. Holiday hours are the most ridiculous thing ever, they close at...wait for it... 3pm smh.

This gym is a fantastic place to come work out the staff is always friendly and in a great mood. The manager Christian is a great guy and even helped me plan one of my workouts. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. The facilities were very clean and up kept. I would recommend coming to this gym 10 out of 10 times !

So, grateful for this HAPPY PLACE! Staff is amazing. I worked out here 360 days last year. Yes, at times it's cold. I make an effort to put distance between myself and fans. If, you see something wrong mention it to staff and their on it. I've done it many times, it's appreciated. Wish the kids would dry off when exiting showers! Yes, they leave a trail right to the locker. I call em on that s****

Decent size gym, feels kinda gross with all the plastic up. But it's nice the cardio is upstairs and I don't feel like I'm getting stared at haha

Love this gym! Probably one of the nicer ones on Camp Pendleton. Locker rooms/bathrooms are really clean and super nice. Equipment is all fairly new and all in great condition. Not stuffy like how some base gyms feel. Great music pumping over the sound system to get your workout on. Check this one out if you're in the area!

Tiny gym. Has all the basics. Not busy at all. Exactly where rhe map says it is. You can only use it if your 31 area staff though.

It's alright, enough machines to get it all done, lighting is pretty good too, wish they'd close the windows and let it heat up a bit. What gym closes at 1500 on the weekends? Too much to ask for a 24 gym on base?

It's a Chapel Annex; no longer a gym.

I used to work in this gym for 6 month when I was a marine getting ready to EAS from AAV battalion. The gym it self is pretty decent and nice. There are some old equipments but most of them are in pretty good shape. They have powerlifting event here once a year. The reason for only 3 starts is that they always hire a civilian dependa ( mostly women) who thinks they are their husbands ranks. There was a conflict with one of the lady who used to teach cycling class with a marine who worked here. She called her husband (an E-6) so that she will win an argument over with an E-4 my work buddy. Other than that the gym is in pretty good shape.

The bathroom and locker room remodel is finally complete. Lockers are metal so these will hopefully last longer than the old plasterboard lockers. Fans are situated throughout the locker room to decrease the humidity and there are even exhaust fans in the toilet/urinal area to decrease the odor of too many gaseous Marines taking protein supplements. The urinals and toilets are finally self flushing so this will hopefully decrease the time that they become blocked from too much buildup of concretions from not flushing the urinals. The men's dry sauna is now brand new and works great with more seating. Cons: 1) The racquetball courts are now being worked on so they are now closed. 2) Some of the weightlifting equipment is in need of replacement and there is no closed chain machine anymore to work your glutes. 3) The windows and screens still in need of repair.

Usually this is my go to gym but just recently I come into the gym and as I'm working out, a worker interrupts and claims that I was showing my stomach; however it was because I had a short sleeve crop top on and high wasted sweatpants. I understand it's policy for her to follow but what I don't understand is people can wear tight clothing that shows more than my centimeter of skin while I working out but when not, nothing shows. This gym will not be my go to anymore.

21 Area FC is actually pretty decent. I started going here 3/27/18 & let me be honest... I've always gone to a gym off base so coming here took a lot of courage from me & I was a little intimated to begin with. I couldn't tell you why, I just was. I like this gym better than Paige Fieldhouse because when I get here after work around 2pm: 1) it's not as overwhelming & packed as most would be 2) the cardio machines are separated by levels (cardio - up & most weight equipment - down) and 3) IT'S SMALLER! You walk in, flash then your military ID (active duty/dependent/DoD employee), click a box on the screen that pertains to you, then go on your merry way. I was completely confused at first on how it all works but it was quite simple. The locker/bath rooms are on your left in the back when you walk into the facility. I'll probably stick to coming here since i'm becoming more comfortable with this location. PS - One more thing, I'm obsessed the sauna & when I finally came to check this place out, it was down. I hope they get it running soon. I love a good sauna sweat sesh. (3/31/18)
