3 times they screwed up my ATM card right when I opened my account and it never got better. In fact, they sent me a welcome package AFTER I closed my account, what a joke. Run for your life (!) we have better banks in Ojai, it's truly sad when you're the only customer they have in the building and they still can't get it right.

I got locked out of my account a couple months ago but I haven't had the time to deal with that because of personal things and also my branch has been closing so early that I haven't been able to get there. I received a call a couple days ago from their overdraft department. The number didn't pop up when I tried to search it so I called the 800 number that was on their website. It took being on the phone for 30 minutes and talking to two different people to finally confirm that that was in fact their number. The third person finally told me that I have been overdrawn, now I'm under almost $200. I had opted out of overdraft protection though... and I haven't used my card in months either (I had forgotten about an automatic payment though, which is why it was getting overdrawn.) Apparently there are two different papers to sign to get out of overdraft protection. So the one I signed wasn't good enough. I let go of Wells Fargo because I wanted to support credit unions and smaller banks but they are all the same. If I can fix this, I will put up an update....

Treat clients like garbage. Rude. Smug. Unhelpful. Terrible policies. You're better off with literally ANY credit union. I'd say just use their bathroom to take poops but I doubt they'd let you, client or not. Seriously just get a piggy bank.

Just spoke with someone named Laurie at the bank. She was patronizing and not helpful at all regarding a payment I sent to one of the Bank's clients that the bank erroneously sent back to me. Not only will I never open an account here for my business, this review should serve as a warning to anyone thinking of opening an account here: beware their customer service will leave a horrible impression on your clients. Edit 1: Sierra B responded to this review with a phone number that I should call for assistance, which is the number I called in the first place. I've worked the situation out directly with your client on my own. I'm no longer in need of assistance from the bank.

Ojai Community Bank members waited patiently through the difficult transition when Bank of Sierra took over our local bank. Unfortunately it was not worth the wait. Not the fault of the staff but the way the business is administered.

As I sit on eternal hold with the new "Bank of the Sierra" located in our small town Ojai, I have to say this transition has been a nightmare for me. The credit card they issued when I first opened my acct. has ignored my request to remove fraudulent charges for 3 months now... around $1800 of travel charges... fees...etc. I have been directed by LifeLock to go to the issuing institution... Ojai Community Bank... which is now.... Bank of the Sierra... Bank of Sierra has broken ties with this card and has washed their hands of it apparently. They won't help me resolve this issue. So if you are still carrying the MasterCard payable through Card Assets issued by Ojai Community Bank... be aware the bank will not help you when you're in trouble... and Card Assets doesn't seem to have an active fraud dept... just a woman who will work to pacify you to frustration. Sounds like a typical dog and pony show.
