In follow up to my review above, q manager called me after the disastrous customer service received and apologized, refunded, and assured me this was not the way Casa Ojai treated prospective guests. As we began planing another trip this winter, I thought perhaps I should reconsider and rebook, as well as remove my review and give them another chance. Then they jumped in to reassure (in response to my review) that they still blamed me and wanted to argue with me about the weather and that the earthquake that yes, karmically, hit them after the horrendous storm just to drive home my point!I'm looking for much better service when traveling than I receive from this hotel.

Smelly room. Dead bug in sheets. They wouldn't let me change a room. They changed the sheets but didn't give me a top sheet! They make you pay daily for amenities whether you use them or not.

We have stayed at Casa Ojai over 12 years and appreciate the location (walk to our daughter and to downtown), great size rooms with comfortable beds, and many amenities that are good for the environment?. The pool and hot tub are a favorite of our grandsons:) The staff is so helpful and always accommodate any changes we want/need for another wonderful stay!

One of the very few places who will answer the phone after 5 PM. Love this place as Ojai has a lot of motel style properties. This one is clean, comfortable, & the night manager made sure we had a nice quiet room!!Food & drinks: Water & snacks in room

The rooms upstairs are not pet friendly, what I wanted but man it smelled like it hadn't been aired out for years. I did that. Then when I turned down my bed there was a smashed dead bug. So I walked down to office and they came up to change the bed. By the time I turned it down again there was no top sheet. Too late office closed. I had to stay 2 nights and they never fixed my bed or bring up the ozone machine I requested. They also charge you for amnesties whether you drink their crummy bottled water and cheap pack of snacks. If you like a freshen room and clean sheets, look elsewhere. They don't accommodate.

Coffee maker didn’t work properly, no trash can in the bathroom and when we arrived there was piece of trash in the bathroom and it didn’t feel clean. Customer service acted like it was our problem. Oh also no room service in regards to a cleaning crew.

We had a very pleasant stay! Everything was just fine. Just a little bit out of town but we walked downtown easily enough.

The location is great but the hotel not so much. It’s expensive & you are literally just paying to be right in ojai. The pool & spa were cool. The rooms are ok. BUT the TV remote was covered in some sort of lotion or…lotion like substance ? Took me 10 minutes to clean it. The toilet is like a jet engine & splashes you when you flush. Resort fees were ridiculous cuz this was anything but a resort. But alas. We wanted to be right in ojai & this was one of the cheapest. Pluses- location, easy parking, warmish pool & nice spa.Safety: Seemed pretty safe.Walkability: Walking distance to town.

I feel I got discriminated against. Went in there for a room and they told me they where all booked. All week parking lot has been empty day and night. It was an old lady at the front desk. No stars for that

We have been a repeat customer over the past 10 years. Unfortunately, amenities have slowly declined. No microwave, no room service, no complimentary breakfast. Otherwise rooms are clean upon arrival and staff is friendly.

We have the handicap room and it was perfect. Plenty of room for the wheelchair and easy access in and out. The bedding was perfect I would really enjoy them. There's a 1000 channels on their Direct t v. It also has the approval of my little dog Nicholas. :)Food & drinks: They gave us six keurig coffees and others, two bags of nuts and three water in the room. Also, they have a dispenser outside that you can refill your water bottles with reverse osmosis.Noteworthy details: Short drive down the road to the Country Club. And the excellent, reasonably, priced restaurant there. The desk clerk gave us the suggestion. Very nice. ? Thanks.

OK place for a long weekend — close to everything (hiking, restaurants etc) — if you’re not fussy. Not so hot if you are. Great pool area, but rooms are ok at best. Beds could be much better (double is not even queen size) and the shower is in a tub with soap dispensers. Kinda low-rent given the price of the room. Don’t bother getting a patio room. It’s just an unshaded area adjacent to the car park. You won’t use it. Rooms are clean though, and so is the linen.

Casa Ojai is a great place. Recently enjoyed a vacation with my family. They all loved it. No breakfast any longer since COVID no afternoon warm fresh baker cookies with your stay. However - the rooms are great. Beds are wonderfully comfy and has a lovely salt pool too . Room also allows bikes to ride and they supply bike helmets and bike locks. It’s a quick ride or walk into town !Rooms: Very nice and clean! Bathrooms come with towels , soap shampoo, conditioner and lotion too. Mini frig and air conditioning was nice too.Nearby activities: Ojai main street - E Ojai Street has much to offer. From Rains amazing store btw to park , library , used books ,Grocery markets , coffee , various shops with unique items.Safety: Feel safe always at Casa Ojai. Pass keys for rooms and for pool area tooAlso town of Ojai people are just niceWalkability: A very quick walk into town and 32 miles of private safe paved trails to walk or bike. I did not need a car the entire time !Food & drinks: They sell drinks and snacks inside lobby area v or walk to Midwest Market for incredible fresh made to order sandwiches , burger, salads etc !It’s half the price as the local restaurants and better tasting. A nice variety of foods snack and drinks as well.Noteworthy details: Had a great farmers market with incredible variety of foods , veggies , fruits , flowers. Bring cash and card. Some use apply pay or Venmo as well.Got these tiny watermelon looking cucumbers. Like little grapes. They were amazing and the fresh mini corns where fab too.

Great spot just outside the bustle of downtown. Clean and updated rooms and amazing views of the surrounding mountains. There is a pool on property and bikes available to borrow. The staff was friendly and accommodating as well.
