I mean, who reviews a bank... really? Well, ME because this is the best branch I've ever been to. My mom passed a couple of years ago and my local branch in Ventura had given me very confusing and overwhelming information about how to close out her accounts... so I put it off. It was really hard to lose my mom and I definitely didn't want the extra stress of doing this daunting task. Finally made an appointment at my mom's branch that she used in Ojai. Christina was absolutely amazing, accommodating and patient. She was able to process everything while making us feel comfortable and welcome. She was so incredibly personable while yet professional. We realized that we needed a notary and were informed that if you're a Chase member, that it is a provided service. The notary was booked but managed to fit us in. Maria was also amazing to us! Explained everything in detail and even asked about my mom which I thought was very sweet. Everything was explained to us in detail along the way which I appreciate immensely. This was the last thing that needed to be done on behalf of my mom and I was stressed about it all week. Thank you Christina and Maria! I will never forget how kind you both were to us! Absolutely fantastic service :)

It is nearly impossible to get someone to help you open an account. I have been trying for weeks. Only one of their bankers will set appointments. No idea what is up with the other ones. I have been trying for over a month to get my 18 year old in to open their first account. As a young worker they have a schedule that changes week to week. The bank can never make an appointment the week of your call. It is impossible to get this kid an account with Chase in Ojai.

One star for RHONDA. Super rude, belittling, makes you feel stupid. Not a nice person. Won’t let you get a word in edgewise, won’t listen to valid concerns.Edit to add: I’ve been a Chase customer for 18 years, back from when it was Washington Mutual. No more.

I've banked with Chase for more than a decade, but when I moved to Ojai the agent was friendly from the start. Today I had the pleasure of working with him to report credit card fraud, he was compassionate and caring. He even took the time to retrieve all my recurring charges so I can change the information when the card arrives. He even asked and confirmed that the Fraud representative to expedite the delivery. Great people at Chase in Ojai!

I’ve been banking here for a long time. The tellers have always been friendly and helpful. Even with the atm at the sidewalk I prefer to go inside to have the smile and personal assistance I always get. The banker helped me through my sister’s passing and what had to be done with her business affairs. I was the executor of her will. When another relative needed help with legal documents, the staff was so helpful my relative was impressed. She had not experienced that at her bank (not Chase) in a county south of us.

Very nice staff with the exception of one teller named Hailee. Extremely short with me, unwelcoming tone, dismissive, and refusing to answer basic inquiries regarding my account despite my warm attitude with her. Never have I experienced this at this branch so my hope is that this teller will be re-educated on who pays her salary (her customers).

Hard in and out access -- but it's a bank.

Went in on a Thirsday afternoon. One other client in the building, 4 staff and after waiting 10 minutes standing to talk with a banker still no one had greeted me. Plenty of opportunities to say we'll be right with you. The Branch Manager was on his computer literally 5 feet away and wouldn't even make eye contact. Two tellers were talking amongst themselves. One banker was helping the other client. After he was done he went to go talk with the other tellers. Was going to open a new credit line, wouldn't recommend this branch. Was with my baby so maybe they didn't think I was a viable client, but not sure. Too bad service standards have gone out the window in such a small branch/town.

Banks are dinosaurs. They charge all kinds of fees and pay low interest on checking accounts (if they even pay any interest), charge for checks, charge for ATM transactions outside of their network, etc., etc. Check out what Fidelity Investments, Ameritrade, Chares Schwab, etc.

Love this branch! Actually switched from Rabobank when they were super rude to me! The lady here opened my account and even called me after to see how things were going! She's super sweet! I also love the tellers, they're always warm and friendly, and ready to communicate! This Chase is in a super convenient location, has a walk up atm, but also a drive up ATM! I like that they offer water here at the bank and even good incentives to opening an account! Make sure to open an account plus a savings! I received $200 from chase for opening a new account! Worth it for sure!

Acceptable service and capable tellers cannot make up for the Machiavellian business practices of the big banks, and this certainly includes Chase. High fees--even when you can prove that an automatic charge was made in error to your account--are inexcusable. Again, though, Chase is not alone in this. These are the practices of all big banks. We need a decent credit union in Ojai, and when we get one, I will use it!

A good friendly bank for an affluent area of Ventura County.

the lack of respect the banker was giving me this morning. Not only was she short with me she was very rude to other customers, sat there for 30 minutes wanting to set up a new account and get a new debit card. Ended up leaving.

Once again I had a subpar experience at the Ojai Chase Bank branch. First of all, why are we waiting in line so long? Finally when one of two tellers became available I had to wait while my experienced teller helped a new teller with a deposit situation. A woman was attempting to put a small amount of cash into her friend's account. Due to a Chase policy, people can't deposit cash into someone's account. Well, OK. The inexperienced teller was going to turn away the customer, but the experienced teller explained that the bank could make a deposit by taking a cash advance from the woman's non-Chase checking account and then depositing that cash into the friend's Chase account. A similar problem happened to me at my previous visit to this same branch. Another teller, also inexperienced, didn't know I could pay my Chase visa with a non-Chase debit card, even though I do that every month at other Chase branches. In this case I went to the nice Wells Fargo branch in town, took out $150 in cash and went back to the Ojai Chase branch to pay my Visa card. The Chase Bank CEO makes $20 million a year. How about giving back a measly $1 million so that understaffed, apparently underpaid staffs at small branches like Ojai can provide excellent customer service?
