Alex helped make an intimidating prior year filing very, very simple, clear, and quick. I reached out on Saturday morning and my prior year e-filing went through by Sunday at noon. Alex is very communicative and helpful and professional. I will be returning to use his services for my current year filing. As someone who has alway been intimidated by taxes, I am glad to have found Alex and Effitax via word of mouth and will continue to use his tax services every year. I would refer Alex to any one looking for fast and easy filing for a great value. Doing everything over phone and online during the pandemic was easy and felt safe and confidential.

I reached out to the Effitax office on Saturday morning and my taxes were filed by Sunday noon. Alex is very helpful, communicative, and on top of his client's filings. He helped me with my prior year filing this weekend & I will work with him again for my current year filing. He is very fast and has a great rate. I heard about him through word of mouth and would refer him to any of my friends.

Alex saved my life! Well, not exactly but after letting our taxes fall behind because of the loss of our house, garage barn and pretty much everything we owned in the Thomas Fire, we were way behind! We also had a pretty complex tax situation and Alex did a great job while making needed recommendations on how to go forward for the tax years upcoming. I would wholeheartedly recommend Alex and Effitax to anyone!

In dealing with Alex, I was extremely pleased at his professionalism and efficiency. I appreciated the measures taken to secure my personal data, since the majority of the process was conducted online via email and phone calls due to Covid-19 Restraints in Oxnard,CA. Alex answered all my questions thoroughly and was well informed with current laws/rules applicable to my situation this year. I confidently recommend this business to everyone. I will add I quickly received my refund direct deposit to my bank account as did my parents, and my both sons who also had their taxes for 2019 earnings expedited by Alex at this location

If you want your taxes done efficiently , quick, and accurate go to Effitax in cute little Mieners Oaks. Alex the owner is very good at his job and is very pleasant to work with as well. He also gave me some valuable tax tips for the future.

My tax person was too busy to see me! I saw the reviews for Effitax and called this morning. Alex got on the phone and spoke to me directly. He asked if I could come in at 2! I needed a tax professional to support me to clear up some items with the IRS and called around a few places in Ojai. My experience was that either everybody was too busy, didn't call back for a week or didn't really listen to me when I was trying to explain what I was looking for. Being a Meiner's Oaks resident, I was absolutely shocked to find the best service in Ojai just right down the street from me when I decided to just walk-in. Alex immediately was able to listen and understand my needs, took time to review my documents carefully right there on the spot, ask the right questions and promptly advised me on my next steps to complete my returns prior to an imminent deadline of the E-file closing for the year. I had some homework for him to be able to do his job to support me and he persistently followed up with me with the only goal of ensuring I get my docs completed prior to the deadline. Alex is extremely experienced and affordable in income tax services and I'm sure he is equally competent in all his other work with bookkeeping and payroll management. Please do yourself and our community a favor and choose to work with Effitax!

I highly recommend Alex Guitierrez as an accountant. He has been doing my taxes for several years. He discovered my previous accountant was having me over pay my quarterly estimated taxes by 6,000.00 and he promptly had a refund sent to me. He is very easy to work with, considerate, and honest, and accommodated an inconvenient request for an appointment. His turn around time for tax work is quick and he doesn't over charge for his services. Don't allow his modest office deter you from using him, as large and elaborate offices are paid for by the clients.

After being turned away from the senior center's tax help last year, we were thankfully given directions to Effitax. Mr. Gutierrez is knowledgeable, efficient, considerate, and an all round great accountant who not only took on doing my elderly mother's taxes, but ours as well.
