I rescued a puppy here. The vet and staff made the process easy, thorough, and extremely helpful. I was not prepared and they gave me food and a crate. I will be rescuing more in the future and recommend monthly donations for all the animals they care for, too!

So, I have yet to adopt here. But I need to write a review, as I truly feel they take such good care of every animal they take in. I notice compared to camarillo humane society that they have substantially less animals, but I assume that's to maintain care of the animals they do have. I feel as though they have created an environment that they make sure animals go to good homes instead of a fast turnover. Every worker they have here as been so polite & asked if I needed assistance, I truly recommend checking this place out

We had to get rid of our dog that was only a year old to date when we dropped him off. We had him in our condo and he had anxiety being left alone and would bark all day which lead our landlord to have us find him a new or home or be terminated from our lease. We were heart broken to leave him. April was so sweet and caring as we said our good byes to him. She was very understanding and promised he would find a good home. He did have some behavioral problems and she was sure that she could work with him. In just a week he was up for adoption. Luckily his grandpa went to retrieve him from the shelter and although Saint was happy to come back home to Grandpas house he left this shelter a completely different dog(in the best way possible) you can tell that the staff had spent quality time with Saint and was treated with love and support there. Saint is doing terrific and our family still gets to see him although he's not at our home he's in a big yard living his best life around the corner from us with Grandpa! Thank you for all your staff's compassion for what ya'll do!!! Everyone of you has touched our families heart in a very special way!!

The kittens seem well cared for and its a nice location. I called ahead and was told the kittens are all in a room and you can interact with them. Got there, signed in and went into little room. The employee there was just putting some kittens back in a cage. They said only kittens from the same little can be brought out. So we pointed to a cage and he pulled those 4 kittens out to run around the room. We played with them and decided we wanted to maybe see some from a different cage. When the employee came back in he said our time was up. I Asked what he meant and he said they had a 15 min limit in the room.I told him we were not told that and we were wanting to interact with other kittens and had been waiting to ask them. He said once the kittens are out they get an hour to play. Ugh! We called ahead and drove an hour to this location because they had a lot to pick from. Nobody said anything about 15 min limit or that only one litter is let out at a time for an hour. Did not appreciate not having this explained when I called or arrived. Cute cats but a long drive to not see them.

Very disappointed in my experience here. We are looking to add a kitten to our family. I drove over an hour to meet the kitten we were interested in and he was a friendly playful kitten. I went to the office to ask for an application and had two staff members talk me out of it or tell me to get two kittens and that they will give me 2 for the price of one. They said this kitten didn't have a good temperament... I went to the kitten room twice and think the office staff are mistaken. I didn't like the way I was spoken to and I left without a kitten. I am aware kittens are a lot of work and they can scratch and bite.. I felt like the staff were very judgmental of me wanting a younger kitten with children.. questioning me as a mother? Questioning me as a potential animal owner? No thanks.

We adopted a pet there recently. The staff was very friendly, the grounds had a lot of space for the animals there, and all seemed well cared for.

Takes in all types of mammals, lots of land, and volunteers cared well for animals. Animals had large outdoor daylight kennels. Had horses and even a sheep. We'll worth supporting!

I just went on the website to see about adopting a cat. And then a few days later I ran into two workers at Jim and Rob's and we talked a little more about it

Took my dog to be out down. They have the nicest staff who really go out of their way to make it as painless for the owner as they do for the animals themselves. They do a fantastic job Everytime and I'll never take my pets anywhere else
