We loved our stay at the Hummingbird! The property is stylish and updated and the location was convenient. In the room, the furnishings were very comfortable but we found it a little dark (our room was on the first floor and didn't get much natural light due to the privacy fence on the patio) and the bathrooms are very simple, we would have appreciated an updated shower. We loved the common living room and the pool. You could walk to town but we found it easier/more pleasant to drive or take the hotel bikes. Loved the staff - friendly and had great suggestions.

Room 5 was very dark, and there’s just a lightbulb in the center of the ceiling. In room coffee to go with the kettle would have been appreciated. The patio is shared, but the website description makes it sound as though it’s private. It’s not a room space that you’d want to spend much time in. .

Everything about this place was perfect for the simple weekend in Ojai, easy walk or bike ride to town. The staff couldn't have been nicer!!!!

Room way too dark. Vanity so dark it’s almost unusable. Sink faucet wasn’t secure. Tub drain didn’t work well. They shut the water off with no warning at noon for about 30 minutes for “maintenance” of another room. Room was very clean. Property well maintained. Staff friendly and responsive.

We had such a lovely visit. We rode bikes to dinner, lounged by the quiet pool on the comfiest lounge chairs. Created our own food tour. Thank you for your part of our special visit.

The Hummingbird Inn in Ojai is a total gem! The recent remodel has made the rooms super cute and modern—perfect for a chill getaway. The vibe here is laid-back and cool, and the staff? They're awesome and always ready with great local tips.
The lobby, with its cozy fireplace, is the perfect hangout spot. Outside, you’ve got multiple seating areas, a fire pit, and a grassy space. Great for sipping wine under the stars! Bonus: it’s super kid-friendly. We brought our one- and four-year-olds for the Fourth of July, and it was a blast. The pool's perfect for both relaxing and family fun.
Can’t wait to come back!

This is a roadside GEM!!
Staff was incredibly welcoming & knowledgable.
At points it’s amazing how you almost feel like you are in another time & place.
The pool was lovely near the end of the evening with a cozy fire pit adjacent.
Room was VERY clean & cute.
I knew other guests were checked in but at many times; felt as if the Inn was ours alone.

First time staying at this Inn and I will definitely come back again.
Check in was very smooth and the ladies at the reception were very affable.
The lobby/lounge area is very pleasing and relaxing, with nice couches and a fireplace.
My room was spacious, clean and extremely comfy.
The pool was also well kept, clean and quiet ( in the two occasions I used I was basically by myself).
The Inn is dog friendly.
Overall experience was amazing and it is the perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our two night stay at the Hummingbird Inn for our friend’s wedding. The grounds are very intimate and the lobby in particular is really cozy and well appointed. This place is owned by the same group as Capri and has a similar hipster chic sensibility. We left feeling very relaxed from this magical Ojai oasis.
