Refused to fill rx because I'm not a regular and then crumbled rx and tossed in the trash. Was very rude in the process.

Worst pharmacy EVER. My husband is on several medications, several of which are controlled substances. All are prescribed by his physicians, each for a different condition. His physicians are all aware of the various meds and they coordinate his care carefully. None of these are new. None are being taken in anyway other than as they were ordered. We have never had any issues getting them filled in the past. Now, this year when our insurance changed and we started coming here since it was our preferred pharmacy. Each medication was going to be individually called in, not transferred from the previous pharmacy. So in January we go to pick up the first of these meds. We arrive and it’s not ready. It’s not even being filled BECAUSE THE PHARMACIST, BEN, REFUSES TO FILL IT! He tells us we need to stick with one pharmacy, not jump around, telling us “That’s suspicious !” We explained the insurance situation. Ben still refused. We called the doctor who called and spoke with a lady the next morning who said she’d fill, it no problem. I go back to pick it up. Mr. Unpleasant glares at me saying loudly “I told you I won’t fill it!” (Publicity, so everyone in line heard him. THATS A HIPPA VIOLATION! ) I told him it’s already taken care of and the doctors office told us they called and spoke to a lady who’s name was _ _ _ She acknowledged that she was there that morning. “I never talked to anyone from that office”. WHAT? I think maybe she was scared to admit it in front of him? Two more phone calls to the doctor’s office and we wound up needing to get it via mail order. He was going to be without it for a week until it could be shipped
I guess he had filled prescriptions in similar situations before and gotten trouble for it and that’s why they’re being SUED!!! Wait till I report the HIPPA violation!
Folks, it would have been different if he’d just been nice about it. Maybe help trouble shoot rather than yelling at be and acting like my husbands some kind of addict I’ve heard bad things about this pharmacy from other ppl including one previous employee who left because it’s such an unpleasant environment It’s not worth the stress. I worked in healthcare for over 44 years and no one deserves to be treated like this, ever!
Bottom line, if you don’t have to go there, DONT

cashier was so rude. we were standing behind the customer who was checking out for around 5 minutes with no line and then when they finished checking out we stepped forward and the cashier yelled at us for not being in a line that wasn't there, there were no signs and no people there so how are people from out of town supposed to know? the cashier again tried to embarrass us in front of the entire store. and she called us rude. we weren't talking because the person i was with is hard of hearing, so when she accused us of cutting the line another customer came and defended us and the cashier argued with him. it was just really upsetting and we felt humiliated.

this pharmacy has absolutely gone downhill since the last couple years. There are many workers there who just seem to absolutely hate their job. Especially when you're walking around and trying to find some thing and you ask someone what aisle it's on they just look at you like how dare you ask them. Pharmacy on the other hand. I've always been polite to me and I don't see many issues except for the lines gets so outrageous and there only be one person working the front. I really think that with the amount of cash registers they have back there and the downtime they get during the day they could find a way to be more efficient in running the more busier hours whenever I have to go pick up my prescription I know I'll be there at least 45 minutes.

No wonder the CEO quit. This store should be shut down ASP They don't give a ---- about customers. The new pharmacists are MEAN people. This store will never have what you need and DON'T care. The new pharmacists are the front of Rite Aid, total mean non caring things in human bodies.

We were out of town in CA when we had to g it Ave prescription called in to Right Aid Pharmacy in Ojai, CA. The experience getting the prescription was worst ever. We had to come in 4 times to get the prescription filled - and called several times too. Everything happened : their computer system went down, they were short staffed so that the prescription was not filled for 6! Hours, long story short - it took us ALL DAY to get the prescription filled. Right Aid has to seriously look into efficiency if their operations. The employees of the pharmacy itself are not the ones to blame, but the overall corporate quality of operations.they definitely list my business. For people in town and for eve employees, I hope this gets to be resolved soon

Pharmacy staff was not only rude they refused to run my secondary insurance . The staff is lazy and clearly didn’t want to do there job. I would love to discuss the details with the owner.
