Just spent an idyllic 2 nights at Su Nido with my Book Group. It was an ideal location and we were able to walk everywhere in Ojai. The living room in our suite allowed for wonderful get togethers. We had 5 rooms in all - 4 adjoining and each was beautifully decorated and the amenities were perfect. The courtyard is beautiful and was decorated for the holidays. We even had a Christmas wreath on our door. Staff is very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!Walkability: You can walk everywhere from here!Noteworthy details: Cozy and good amenities. Spacious rooms.

This is a beautiful property and just a couple minutes walk to shops and restaurants . We were excited when we arrived to see how nice and what a great location, but issues started immediately..no cleaning, a rat, keys not working. There is no office on site, but is a mile down the road at their sister property, Casa Ojai. We rented a suite and two rooms for 8 nights, with one of the rooms that will connect. Our keys were left in the late arrival box, but we couldn’t get into the one connecting room. They dropped of the keys at 10:30 pm, but they didn’t work, so we couldn’t even get into that room the first night. No offer to credit us for that. Then the third night, we had a rat in the hood over the stove and it was trying to get through the hood filter into the room. We called and they came down, but were unable to get it. They draped a plastic bag over the filter opening and said they would send maintenance down in the morning. Well, the rat got through and we had to trap it before we could go to bed. They did come the next morning and cleaned the stove and kitchen area and said they would let the owner know, we never heard from the owner and issues continued for the remainder of the week. Keys stopped working to open rooms 4 different times during stay, Rooms should have been cleaned every 3 days. We had to ask after 4 days, and they didn’t even go into one of the rooms, against day 6, I had to ask for cleaning service again, and they never came for a 2nd cleaning. Finally, the night before we left, we were locked out of our room again, so I went to their sister property to get keys and complain again. They said owner would call within 30 minutes. No call, just an email apologizing and jokingly thanking us for catching the rat, and offering to waive our amenity fee and 25% off next visit, I insisted on a call. He seemed to have excuses for most of it and said he had to discuss all of this with his staff and would get back with me. Well, no call, just an email itemizing all our issues and his interpretation of them, as if he were discussing all of this with his staff. He offered to refund the one night that we had to catch the rat, which was one of the cheaper nights and $200 off for the lack of cleaning and the key issues. This is what he thought was appropriate after our spending $6,200 for our stay, and he hasn’t bothered to respond to my email or call me. I really wanted to like this place and be understanding, but I will never be back mainly because of the owner’s attitude and handling of this.

The suite we rented was perfect for us. Having the little kitchenette was a huge convenience. Walking distance to restaurants and satires was really convenient as well. After checking out we received a phone call telling us we had left an expensive yeti bottle behind…we were happy to swing back by and get it back! All

We had a lovely stay at the Su Nido Inn for an Ojai wedding. The Inn is located right in the heart of the town within walking distance to food, shops, hiking and other activities. The Inn itself is great - the suite was spacious and well appointed. We would highly recommend to others looking for a first time stay in Ojai!

Nice location but lacking in service and facilities available on location. More like AirBnB style with self-check-in and no service for linens, etc even when staying 4 days. Staff was easy to reach in person when we drove down the road to the sister property to handle some pretty basic services, like fill out a paper waiver to ride the "complementary" bikes (1 had very low tire), get special key for pool that they advertised as part of their own property, and basics like enough towels for 4 days. Rooms were sparse but comfortable with kitchen (though had to call to get some dish soap supplied). Took one day for a response on a call about a dead animal on our patio... So all in all, it would have been better for me to stay elsewhere. Beautiful valley though if you can stay away from your room long enough. Which is basically what we did.Noteworthy details: Best part was being able to walk to nearby downtown shops, parks, and trails

Nice rooms. No service. They think they can get away with not cleaning or changing sheets or towels and charge $500 a night? Ridiculous

I can’t speak to “my stay” because my husband tested positive for COVID and we were unable to make the trip. I called ASAP (30 hours prior to check-in). Instead of their understanding we were charged $340.00+ for the first night of our stay. I understand hotels have cancellation policies, but in this case, the decision was not ours. We were not permitted to fly nor travel. You would think the hotel would have more of an understanding (we all lived through the same pandemic, right?). Instead, the their supervisor informed me the cancellation policy “did not make exceptions for COVID.” So not only did we miss our best-friends wedding, but we also were slapped with $340.00+ for an unoccupied room. To be clear, their cancellation policy states that reservations must be cancelled by 3:00 PM two (2) days prior to the arrival date… convenient they don’t also add - No exceptions, even “COVID is welcome here.” Apparently it is frowned upon to follow CDC guidelines. Just something to keep in mind prior to booking…

The location of this hotel is FABULOUS! Close to the middle of town, walking distance to everything in downtown Ojai. The staff are all very nice. There are bikes available for checking out, with a release. The bed was comfy and the courtyard was lovely.Unfortunately, the hotel is still following COVID precautions, so NO housekeeping services. They let us know we could have towels, linen, tea, coffee, etc. replaced by texting However, that didn’t go very well when we tried. We asked for replacement of tea and the complementary snacks. Never got them the first day we requested. The next day we got tea, but no replacement sugar or snacks. The cleanliness of the unit was not up to par either. The microwave was dirty we had to ask to have it cleaned. The shower door was stained. Not huge things but when paying over $400.00 per night, definitely not what one would expect. There was no remote in the living room, we were told it would be provided the next day but it was never provided. We stayed for 4 days.

Beautiful, quaint and perfectly located. Su Nido gives the vibe of a boutique mediterranean villa perfectly situated near Ojai’s best restaurants and activities. Check in was seamless, the rooms were clean and cozy and highly recommend taking their beach cruisers for a spin. Thanks for the perfect getaway!

Recently stayed in the Heron Suite at this lovely hotel. Check in and check out was very simple. The room was upstairs and had a wonderful patio area with a table and chairs and then another sitting area.Location was perfect - close to the downtown area. The bed was very comfortable. The only issue was the shower... Hot water was only slightly warm and no way to turn it any hotter. Quick showers every morning. It has a very nice soaking tub.For the rooms that are on the bottom floor (with no patios), they have a very nice sitting area in the courtyard with tables and chairs -- lots of plants and fountains. Very peaceful.Recommendation: In mid-May we went on a Monday and stayed for three nights. So many places are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Check the website to see if where you want to go it open on the days you will be there.

We stayed in the Sparrow room, which had a comfortable king bed and was upstairs looking down on their lovely courtyard. They supplied fine amenities along with water and treats. The room was nicely fitted with antique furniture and the bath was well lighted. The Inn has a five minute walk to the heart of downtown Ojai. The Su Nido Inn is a gem!

Location is sometimes far and away the choice reason for a stay. When you have a nice, clean, quiet and comfortable place like SuNido right in the heart of Ojai, it’s hard to pass up. Loved this place. The bikes were a huge plus. Proximity to massages, eateries, wine, the bike path and the Libby bowl are all 5 stars. Will do it again.

Wonderful place! My GF and I planned a weekend getaway and this place did not disappoint! The Heron room was on the second floor and we had our own private patio. We walked to several restaurants for breakfast and dinner. It was a memorable trip! The front desk was responsive and friendly!

Management responded to my review almost 2 YEARS LATER! I think that says a lot about their attention (or lack thereof) to detail.
