Just absolutely incredible! Walk the grounds and enjoy! Lunch at The Oak is a time to remember! Kuyam Experience at the Spa was just that - an Experience and this is the only place you can do it in the Country. Spa is beautiful and an entire day still isn't enough. Will definitely be back!!

This place is a true gem. Only an hour drive from L.A makes it the perfect getaway if you don't want to go to far. I love the SPA and the whole facility...The team at the Ojai Valley Inn is amazing... Kind, friendly and helpful.Alex (one of the managers at the Oak restaurant) and Kameron went out of their way to make my experience amazing today!

This is my very trip to Ojai and Ojai Valley Inn was one of our first stops for linner. After visiting our friend Holly in Rancho Matilija. What an absolute stunning hotel, spa, and grounds. Cottage and lush trees stretch for acres: we were driven in golf carts all-around so much fun! We dropped in for linner on the lawn that stretches beyond where the eye can see: in 84 degree weather prior to storm Hillary arriving. And 10 mins early at that, but the staff was kind and served us regardless. Our mock tails where delicious, as well as the humus dip and cucumber salad finger foods. There was a wedding down the way, where a bevy of folks in elegant attire strolled the lawns for someone's special day. Really gorgeous setting, and ideas for future events. Children ran abt the lawn, parents where carrying their golf clubs, and we lounged by the fire pits. Lamps swung in the wind, handing from the long limbs of 200yr old California oak trees. Truly the utmost, elegance and such an escape into utopia. I may return back here for 3 months, if work is sluggish but it's never a bad idea for a summer/autumn get-away. Gorgeous!

We went to Ojai Valley Inn for Mother's Day and it turned out to be the best trip of my life thus far. I went a few years ago with my husband and dog but this year we went without the dog and with our toddler and the facility had so many accommodations for our family. It was super toddler friendly too! We went also in the Spring time so the weather was so nice! The food was fantastic in all the places we ate at on the grounds. The kiddie pool was awesome. The artist cottage was super fun for my toddler. She painted for the very first time and it was a wonderful experience. The people at the artist cottage was super friendly and helpful. I loved their apothecary section too. It went so well that we want to make this a yearly thing.

We have come to OVI for years and for numerous previous holiday long weekends - Christmas, Labor Day, to name a few. Every year the inn get moresexpensive, but we validate the prices by the serenity and calmness this place evokes / how relaxed we leave our stay here Came for Fourth of July. Was informed at check in the adult pool we came for was open to kids this weekend. No prior communication about this on the website or email - we really would've booked alternate plans had we known this. I spoke toSeveral other guests who said the same. The spa pool they had open for adults was so crowded it had a wait at lunch time; the indigo pool was so crazy with kids it was impossible to get service. They let families bring in huge blow up toys that take over the entire pool. There was a dirty diaper floating in the pool at one point and I got hit in the head with a basketball. One of our favorite moments is always breakfast at the oak. Each day we were told there was an extensive waitlist and couldn't eat there. This has never happened before. The one day we got a table it was deafening from kids screaming and running around. Video attached! Last, it's very clear they overbooked the resort for the capacity with the number of kids on property. Every single spot was overrun, the service which is normally stand out was very bad and the quality of food / drinks missed the mark from the standard. Multiple times families took over our fire pit or outdoor seats 'bc we didn't have kids', which was really frustrating even when servers tried to say no. Looking to relax for a holiday weekend? DO NOT COME HERE. Spent $5k in 4 days and wish I'd checked out early to spend time somewhere else. Last, upon room check in I found a cockroach at the door. This has never happened to me before, there. When I told the bellman dropping off our bags he shrugged, but was so busy and backed up he didn't have time to help. Pls don't charge prices like this for a stay if you don't have the staff to support.

The perfect location. Truly can't be beat. I grew up in Oxnard and didn't really bother going to Ojai until I was an adult. Even then I stuck to my basics. All that to say, this was my first time here. We came in for brunch to celebrate my bday as well as my friend's. We love a double celebration! There was about a 5 min wait for our table, but all was good as they let us start drinking in the waiting area by the bathroom. Manny had just refilled our flutes when we were called over and led to our table for our party of 6. I made sure to take the seat that overlooked the grounds. Thanks to the downpour, the views were green for days. The food selection was varied. You had your seafood, salads, meats, fruits and desserts. My first plate was surf & turf. I kicked off with crab legs, jumbo shrimp and the tritip with chimichurri. Next up was an assortment of salads with a side of eggs benedict. I closed it out with a mixture of desserts. My favorite was the bread pudding. All in all a great experience. As we had a bit of time to kill, we decided to hang out in the grass area and watched the folks tee off. The view from the golf course is majestic. We took advantage of the tram the inn has for their guests and took it back to the parking/valet area where our ride was. I can't wait to come back.

I was in the dressing room when a man, dressed as a woman was sitting on the bench with a semi erection staring at all the women undressing. I went out to the reception area and asked why he was allowed in there. They had no reply for me. I asked what rights I have...they all just sort of were dumbfounded and didn't know what to do or say. So, I LEFT. Ruining my day and wasting my money. The reception should be trained on how to handle this. Even if the want to say it was a "trans woman" I should not be forced to watch a naked biological and intact male with a semi erect penis sit next to me when I change my clothes and then try to enter the women's sauna NUDE.

Really sad that the owners would further destroy an historic George Thomas golf course to put this in. Holes 9 and 18 are completely destroyed. Not to mention many other holes on this historic course have been lost due to owner's greed. They should have built the farmhouse on the driving range and left the course alone. It really shows lack of vision and no appreciation for art to build this monstrosity. It's really sad.

I don't even know why I'm spending a moment of my time writing this review. This is my second time at the end. The first time was 3 stars, But this time it was next level. If I could give it -10 stars, I would. My wellness weekend was horrible. They put me in a room below the wedding suite. There was an afterparty after the wedding. At least 50 people above us with loud music till four in the morning. The was so much noise. Music and voices. Eventually, we called the front desk to complain. Reception was polite and apologetic. They told us they would send someone to investigate. But the sounds got louder and livelier. There was music, footsteps and voices. The bass from the music was vibrating the walls and the footsteps were shaking the ceiling. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom.... It was terrible. A deaf person would not have been able to sleep. I called front desk again. They said they knew about it and were already taking care of it. However, as the minutes passed, the noise did not subside. I was beginning to go mad. Boom...boom...boom...boom. We called again. Around 2:30 am, I walked into one of the rooms. The door was cracked open. Yelling over the music, "Hi, I am the person below you. I am trying to sleep." There were dozens of people in the room and the music was coming from the adjacent room. I have no idea how many people were in that room. Everyone stopped and looked at me. Three men ushered me out the door. One man put his arm around me and escorted me down the stairs while reprimanding me about hotel etiquette. "Do you think it is appropriate behavior to walk into a stranger's hotel room?...Do you?" How did I become the crazy one? I called the front desk 10 times. We were at the Ojai Valley Inn, a 4-star hotel, not a night club in Hollywood! We were supposed to be having a wellness weekend. In the morning the housekeeper asked if i slept well. I said, "NO!" The housekeeper said a lot of people complain about the room because it is below a party room. What nerve! How could you put us in that room! The hotel representative was empathetic and asked us what they could do? I simply wanted to be made whole. That was it. I wanted a redo of our wellness weekend. Simply, a redo. It was fair. They agreed. They also suggested that i should move rooms because the bridal party was not checking out until the following day. So, i packed up my belongings to move rooms. To say the day was terrible is an understatement. I have type 1 diabetes. And if anyone knows anything about it. A night of no sleep, reeks havoc on your blood sugar. And when your blood sugar is all over the place, you feel like crap and on top of that I didn't sleep. so I felt like double crap. As the day progressed and the temperatures increased, so too did the irritability of my mood. It was hot. 95-100 degrees and I was roasting in the heat. I still had no room. For anyone who knows, the heat and diabetes are not a good mix. So it was hot, I had no sleep, and my blood sugar is in the 400 and I still had not eaten anything yet. I did not get into the new room until close to 4 pm. Despite a used coffee cup from the previous guest on the mantle, being right across the laundry room with carts wheeling by and employee chatter in the hallway, I was relieved to be in a room. It was a hike to the car. I got lost. I was so tired and mu mind was in a fog that I did not pay attention to where the new room was relative to the valet. I wanted to go home, but I was too exhausted to drive back to LA. I decided to leave this nightmare of a hotel first thing in the morning and never return. My wellness weekend was terrible!!!!!!!!I didn't throw a temper tantrum. I didn't have a fit because mistakes happen. I was convinced the hotel would make it right because they said they would. My mistake. I received an invitation back to the hotel and the employee discount price. What??? I know the hotel has wonderful reviews and my 1 star will not make a dent. However, hope someone will read this review and spend their money

We have been coming here since before it was cool. Still a little slice of heaven only an hour outside of Los Angeles. Coming to the Inn is like escaping to another world, and there is something for every member of our family- including our furry babies. I am actually a little hesitant to write this review in fear MORE people will come and then it will be even more difficult to get in! Once we started telling friends how awesome it was, it seemed like it suddenly it got really hard to book a room... Anyway, the place is heavenly. The giant oak trees are a really special spot to hang out in the golden hour and watch the sun set over the canyon. Whatever time of year, it's magical. The light installation is simply the icing on the cake! The property is dog friendly, but be sure you're up to date on the flea meds for your pooch... we have come home with friends multiple times. IT's part of being on a golf course with bunnies and deer. Just be aware. The kids club is amazing and if you're an Amex member, book through them because the benefits are super! You get a free day and, well, it's worth it. They take your kids and feed them, you don't have to worry and they tucker them out and you get to hear about all the fun they had with the counselors. IT's awesome. Food, drinks, atmosphere - all amazing. Book reservations ahead of time because it's always busy. Even if you don't use them, just be safe because you'll need them. Concierge is always helpful with these plans. Spa is a must!!! Doesn't matter what you book, just book something so you can go see it. It's amazing and everyone who works there is incredible. I have never had a bad experience. Never. Ever. Never. Just be careful if it's a bridal party or something because they get super booked.... call ahead and don't be a lazy person and expect to book anything last minute. They have an art cottage as well, free activities for kids daily- check the schedule and plan accordingly, and sign up for candle making if you have time- it's AMAZING!!! Expensive, but worth it. Candles are so nice and will remind you of Ojai. If you're there on a Sunday go into town for the farmers market, it's so cute. And the antique store is always a must for us every visit. Even if we don't buy anything, it's always a pit stop- you never know what you'll find. I will say it's getting more touristy over the years. When we started going it was a little hole in the wall place nobody knew about... now it's trendy and everyone seems to know. So go off season and you'll get the real feel of Ojai... and don't be a j*** when you go into town. Ojai was primarily founded by a bunch of old hippies and locals hanging out and enjoying life... be cool and be kind. Support the local businesses and don't be weird.

Absolutely amazing spa resort! Everything from the beautiful grounds, spa services, restaurants, customer service, comphy beds is spectacular and is 5/5.We came here for the a weekend and enjoyed a relaxing and wonderful time here. The food is great, the employees are going above and beyond, our room (277) was huge, the bed was so comphy that it was hard to get up in the morning. We waited too long to book a spa treatment so I was only able to book a facial. It was relaxing and worth it. We attended the yoga class and the only suggestion is to designate a closed area for the yoga classes when it rains. We will definitely be back!
