“We visited to rent bikes with our child, and they had children’s bikes and excellent gear that other shops didn’t have. The staff and owner were both so kind. Thanks to them, we made precious memories on the Ojai bike trail with our child. Everything was wonderful.”

I went in hoping to get my bike fixed but instead got the worst service ever and my bike wasn’t fixed. They failed to repair it and wouldn’t even let me come in to retrieve it. They were beyond rude and complete nut cases about masks. I wasn’t allowed to come in and get my bike so I had to get someone to do it for me. No fixed bike and worst customer service ever! Never visit this establishment. Stay far far away.

The best part about this place is that I don't know what's wrong with my car going in but I know it's gonna be fixed coming out. I'd let these mechanics give me a triple bypass surgery simply because they said they could. Reliable, great guys and honestly you're not gonna beat their price.

If you are looking for a non e-bike for riding the valley trail: go to Bicycles of Ojai. 25% cheaper, much more availability, and friendly and helpful service. We had reserved e-bikes at Mob Shop (since the right non-e-bikes were not available) and staff was not very interested in answering questions and certainly not in being helpful. We ended up canceling and paying the penalty (half), and were happy we did so.

Absolute gem of a shop in Ojai! Kellen is hands down one of the top techs in Ventura County. Tim, Kelley, and Chris have created a haven for cyclists, deeply rooted in the community. Their support for organizations like Dirt Minions and the empowerment Workshop is paving the way for the next generation. This shop embodies the essence of local support and genuine passion for cycling.

Terrible customer service. My partner and I made a reservation to reserve an e bike. The e bike was very uncomfortable and could not be adjusted unless we returned to the shop. We did so and asked if they had another type of bike that we could rent because this one was uncomfortable. No accommodations were even attempted. They happily took our $100 after we only rented the bike for 30 minutes due to the poor quality of the bike. Not to mention that they would not rent us an extra helmet and also insulted our own e bike. Hard to say if we received poor treatment due to race or gender discrimination as a queer, POC couple as I see most of the positive reviews are from white men. We have emailed management and have yet to receive a refund or response.
Update: I received the attached email from the owner Tim after posting this review. While I appreciate the refund, as you can see from his tone, this shop is not interested in taking accountability for the poor customer service we received. I did call Tim and speak to him but again, zero accountability.

Update: I received the attached response from the owner, Tim. As you can see, the apple does not fall far from the tree. While I appreciate the refund, the intent behind this review was for some accountability. I did call Tim and he did apologize that we were dissatisfied. However he did not take accountability for his employees' behavior. Instead he placed blame on me for posting this review. I explained that as a dissatisfied customer, he should have approached us to remedy the situation or his employee should have offered that as an option. As you can see from his own words, customer service is not their priority. A wise business owner would have taken some accountability and perhaps this review could've been salvaged. Unfortunately, it still stands.

Not a local. I called these guys in the evening needing an urgent fix. They told me to come by first thing in the morning I was riding through Ojai down to the south bay and hadn't been able to shift my mechanical front derailuer in 30 miles of climbing. Not matter what I tried I couldn't get it to shift. Turns out a tension grub screw had fallen out of the mech. Except they didn't have any. So the mechanic ransacks every screw in the shop till he finds one from a pedal. Tuned her up and got me back on the road in under an hour. I should mention my local mechanic does work on a lot of world pro's. This guy has mine shifting better than it ever has. Shout out to Tim, the mechanic and the other guys for their local knowledge. And I won't hold anything against the Saffa.

Chris was less than helpful. Shared his opinions and kept trying to push me towards what he likes. Didn't offer anything beyond me renting some bikes to see if I like what he has. He didn't offer to even let me straddle a bike for sizing or go over any options. Sorry, I cannot recommend this business as it seemed like he just wanted me to leave. I did shower this week and do not understand why Chris didn't want my business.

I I had a flat in my tubeless front tire and limped into Ojai from the top of the Denison Grade. I went to the MOB Shop. Chris introduced himself and was incredible with his repair. I was ready to buy a new front tire but Chris explained that it was worth replenishing the sealant. He also explained some issues with my over-inflation tendencies. He spent lots of time on the issue and I left with a repaired tire and only a charge for a flat repair Chris could not have been more effective and gracious. Five star service. The MOB Shop rocks!!
