AVOID AT ALL COSTSTerrible experience and service. Room cleaning didn’t even come one day. Another day when it did come, didn’t even make the pull out bed. Front desk said ‘sorry’.I asked for 1 hour later checkout from 11am to 12pm. Denied. Even after all the issues faced. Front desk doesn’t care about you.

Incredible units right at the base of Palisades. 8 hot tubs to choose from on property, plenty of restaurants to choose from in the village and you can walk right to the lift!

Be aware of the nightly $48 resort fee! Even though we paid $60 tax and fees for a standard room when booked online, which I thought included the resort fee, the front desk insisted paying the $48 again because they did not receive the resort fee from the online booking. They said the resort fee covers coffee and fitness, but these are very standard for any hotels and should be included with the nightly rate. Then we found out that The Village is not a hotel, but a condo building where the management rents out the rooms for owners. The standard room we are staying in is much smaller than a typical hotel room. They claim that each room is owned by its separate owner so quality is not guaranteed, which is true - maybe the owner of our room failed to maintain his/her property - the window blind fell off in our room, and the coffee maker lid was broken, and there was not enough lighting which made the room very dark.

Stayed here for one night because of a jazz and funk festival that was going on at the Palisades. I wish my fiancee and I never spent $383 to stay here. What a joke. Not sure how they get away with charging those kind of rates, when I wouldn't have spent more than $100 for the room or experience we had.And they supposedly upgraded us to a one-bedroom "mountain view" which was terrible. It was a room with a view of the porta potties outside with the mountains over it.The room itself was dark, outdated, hot, things were falling apart, the A/C did not work well and was so loud we couldn't even leave it on. Tried to open the window but literally the smell of s*** came through the room at night from the porta potties outside. Plus, the blinds didn't even close all the way so the light kept coming in. Hardly slept at all. Not to mention when I booked at this place, I was told I was getting the best summer rate which wasn't true. When we checked in there was a family next to us that walked in and paid less than we did. When checking out, I told the nice woman at the front desk about my frustrations so she had the manager contact me the next day. While the manager was nice as well, it was disappointing he only offered me $84 off the room charge. While I was grateful for some kind of discount, I definitely felt it should have been more discounted considering the quality of the room and our experiences. It's unfortunate because had the room price actually represented the room quality, this experience wouldn't have upset me so much. But when you get charged almost $400 for a dumpy room, you are going to have some upset customers.

Brief review due to the incredibly low cleaning & maintenance standards.ROOMThis place is visibly falling apart; our toilet paper holder fell off the wall; broken surface lights above stove, walls scuffed & in need of new paint, brown window shades, stained coffee table... Then there's a word mix of new/refreshed furnishings midst the decay: polished mantle above fireplace; new leather loveseat.Extremely low cleaning standards: cigarette butt on deck, hair in blow dryer, Q-tip under bed.Nevertheless, it was comfortable & felt safe.BATHGood shower/tub combination; clean, no rust or pink mold.Wi-FiIncredibly performant-- 250-340 Mbps down; 176Mbps up!TVMounted 20" LG flat screen TVs of yesteryear with basic programming. No frills.KITCHENMicrowave screams bloody murder... but otherwise the kitchen is well-stocked & functional. The location & view is the real win here, but much room for improvement. If you can overlook the details, it's a nice stay.I won't be returning.

My wife booked us a stay here as her sister watched our 3 month old for two nights for us to get away. The staff was great but the room was sub-par, not that we were expecting the Ritz. The fireplace is in pieces on the floor. We have someone’s leftover food in Tupperware on top of the fridge and the sink takes about 2 minutes to drain when the water isn’t running. Seems like the island of misfit toys of a room. Hope the other rooms are better, but room 101 in building 5 was a huge bust.

Wonderful location the service was fine there was a gym lots to do wonderful big mountain skiing the atmosphere was top notch the spa was fun and I highly recommend. The room was also big and quite modernSafety: The village at squaw valley is extremely kid friendly with kids as young as 7 walking around and skiing by themselves. And it is also easy to not get lost.Food & drinks: There are 15+ wonderful restraunts and many other things to do and lots to eat.

7 minute walk to the slopes. Not a real ski in ski out. The room was comfortable and well heated for the ski season offering fire place and feet warmer in the bathroom. Also the staff was helpful.

Great location, convenient parking. Can be a little loud but they do provide ear plugs/fans/sound machines

For the price you pay, the rooms should have AC instead of a portable air conditioner in only one room exhausted through a window and fans for the rest. Also they should repair things like windows that are all but impossible to open and close. The rooms could definitely be cleaner. The vending machine for laundry soap in the building we were in was broken also, and we couldn't find another. Few people that worked there had any idea how to give directions to anything, including their own parking garages. The location was beautiful, but not where you could see any part of Lake Tahoe.

Excellent views even in the off season (if you don't mind a little construction on the ski slopes) great staff and rooms. Only complaint would be the portable A/C's in the room didn't seem to really be up to the task of keeping such a well insulated building cool

It started off a little rough, but the front desk staff were amazing. But couple things to keep in mind.... Most rooms don't have AC, so if you're visiting in the summer keep that in mind. Also they don't do daily housekeeping in your room, which was also a little odd.
