“Finding Olympic Valley Stables was one of the biggest blessings of our entire wedding planning process. From the moment we saw the venue online we knew it was something special. The scenery is breathtaking, even more so in person, and the property provided the most stunning backdrop for our wedding day. Our guests could not stop complimenting how beautiful and unique the venue was!

One of the things we loved most was how much flexibility the space offered. It gave us the opportunity to make the wedding feel completely like us and bring our vision to life while still showcasing the natural beauty of the property. Being able to bring in pretty much any vendor allowed us full freedom, from sushi appetizers to beer burros wandering the property and more, the optionality of this venue is endless.

Mich and Sarah were amazing to work with throughout the entire process. They were so helpful, responsive, and accommodating, and they genuinely cared about helping us create the wedding we envisioned. I would not have made it through the wedding planning (or the wedding day!) without their guidance and support, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they did to help bring our day to life.

“Super nice and relaxing and fun commuting of homes, golf, restaurants and family activities. Super wealthy homes and upscale amenities. Loved the golf and it may have been the best maintained golf course I've ever been to. Billionaires live here but no one notices them as everyone just wants to relax and chill.”

“I planned a birthday and retirement celebration for my mom months in advance, and our group decided to stay at Granlibakken for the occasion. We also reserved the Pine Lodge as our event space. Our group consisted of about 46–50 people, and we were all able to stay on the property, which made everything incredibly convenient.

What stood out most during our stay was the exceptional staff. They were professional, welcoming, and genuinely kind, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Some of us stayed in standard two-queen rooms, while others booked two-bedroom suites. It was great that we were all located within the same building and just a short distance from the event space.

The scenery is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views right from the windows. The location is also ideal—close to several Tahoe beaches and a variety of great restaurants.

We especially loved how comfortable everything was. The beds were cozy, the pillows were fluffy, and the rooms were very clean.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again.”

“The Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe in Truckee is the definition of what a luxury mountain experience should be. From the moment we pulled up, everything felt elevated without ever feeling forced.

Juan greeted us right away and set the tone. Warm, professional, genuinely welcoming. You could tell he takes pride in what he does. At the front desk, Convent and Angela were incredible. Efficient, polished, and personable all at once. Check in was seamless, and they made us feel like valued guests, not just another reservation.

Our room had an amazing view of the mountains and trees. Waking up to that crisp Tahoe air and looking out over the forest is something you do not forget. It is peaceful in a way that resets you.

In room dining was phenomenal. Not just good for room service. Truly exceptional. Beautiful presentation, perfectly prepared, and delivered right on time. It is rare that in room dining feels like a fine restaurant experience, but this did.

Lunch by the giant Christmas tree and massive stone fireplace was one of my favorite moments of the trip. The setting alone is stunning, especially during the holidays. Stephanie took care of us and was fantastic. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable, and just genuinely kind. Sitting there with the tree lit up, fire going, and snow outside felt like something out of a magazine.

One of the best parts of staying here is the direct gondola access. The gondola picks you up right at the hotel and takes you down to Northstar Village. We spent time ice skating, dining outdoors with friends, shopping, and just relaxing in the fresh mountain air. Being able to go back and forth so easily makes the whole experience effortless.

The Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe delivers on every level. Service, setting, food, atmosphere. It is luxury done right, in one of the most beautiful places in California. We will absolutely be back.”
