My Amazon earlier this year suddenly began falling from its perch and would bite onto the sides of the cage to keep itself from falling over and over again.
Took him/her and essentially found out that the bird was sick, liver shrinking, and dying due to its only seed diet that it had been fed prior to me taking over.
Dr. Nemetz did all tests necessary just to rule out other causes and did an excellent job, imho. I left with a ton of knowledge, medication and it felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders.
The bird immediately adopted the pellet diet which was a good sign. Fast forward to today, the Amazon is in a much stronger state than it was before. I'm glad Dr. Nemetz was able to diagnose the root cause and point me in the right direction.

I had an African Grey baby with severe calcium deficiency. I took her to our Las Vegas supposed avian specialist and he amputed her toes. She was still declining. I heard about Dr. N and hopped on a plane and headed to his office at his first available appt. He kept our baby for over a month with no guarantees. He put her back in an incubator and gave her necessary injections and calcium treatments. He saved our baby.

i am so thankful to Dr. Nemetz for saving my Meyers parrot. It brings a smile to my face every time I see my bird who has recovered from his health issues, he looks amazing , is full of energy and his voice is strong. The blood work, X-rays and health checks that were part of the process to determine his health issues were worth every penny. Dr. Nemetz is straight forward with his diagnosis and was clear in what I needed to do to save my bird. I appreciate that. I highly recommend him. The staff is very helpful. If you want the best treatment for your bird this is the place.

Attentive bird doctor with a friendly and informative service. Went in for a swollen toe on my eclectus parrot and through his treatment plan more than 9 months later he is doing so amazing and is no longer in pain. Thank you dr.nemetz for saving guapos toe?

I was very startled with the situation that I had with my Parrolette "Happy". I was fortunate enough to get a Saturday morning appointment. The doctor confirmed what had happened with my bird and treated him . The most important thing for me was that Happy was very comfortable when the Dr. held him and treated him. Happy is going to be ok .

Dr. Nemetz is truly such a great, knowledgeable doctor. They squeezed me in last min after I had an emergency with my Green Cheek Conure. Unfortunately I lost my baby, it has been extremely rough. It was too late by the time Dr. could do anything however I wish I had brought my baby in sooner to see Dr. Nemetz instead of taking him to the emergency vet initially. It is going to take me a while to adopt another baby someday but when I do, I know where to go.

Dr Nemetz is amazing and after stumping 4 different vets, my cockatiel finally was able to get some answers! I also learned a TON of information after just one visit. Extremely grateful I was referred to The Bird Clinic. Also, Anabelle is amazing and super kind and made the experience so nice! 10000009483929/10 would recommend this place! But keep in mind, quality care means the price will be higher than you may be used to (which is the case with human medicine as well). I noticed the low ratings for this place are related to client finances and not the actual quality of care which, I believe, is totally unfair towards this place. If you cannot afford to give a pet quality care, do not be irresponsible. Wait until you CAN to get a pet. It’s the same concept with having kids. Anywho, a BIGGG thank you to Dr. Nemetz and Anabelle from Erika & Big Joe! ❤️

Absolutely the best Doctor for all birds issues! Been going to The Bird Clinic for many many years. The costs are in the higher bracket, but as someone on yelp said birds are an exotic animal. And the cost is high when you have to have specialists help your pet! I spent several thousands of dollars on my family dog that needed 2 very expensive tests done to determine what needs to be done to help him! I would do what ever I need to do to make any of my animals have a healthy comfortable active life. This is what you have to give thought to when thinking of getting an animal! You Never Know What Kind Of Issue/Issues may come about! Just as in life.

I have to say that Dr. Nemetz is amazing. He’s done a fantastic job of taking care of our Conure Rory these past six years. Six years ago, Rory broke his beak, and Not only was he able to modify the break, so that Rory could eat and breathe again, but he has managed the condition of his beak keeping him healthy ever since.

We have been seeing Dr. Nemetz for over 6 years now, I've lost count! For the reviews stating he is blunt or is over priced- He "is" blunt, he actually told me last year that I'm feeding my parrot too many nuts and therefore his lipid count was elevated. I took his diet advice and found out today that his levels are finally within range. If my vet isn't blunt with me and telling me what I'm doing wrong/ how to improve my pets health, I don't want that vet. It's shocking how many reviews are upset by his prices. It's an exotic animal; not a dog. His services can be pricey, but he is the only avian vet in the area that soles specializes with the parrot species. You get what you pay for. Seeing a generalized veterinarian who treats all animals is not comparable to a vet who specializes in clinical avian medicine. Anyways, he is fantastic and well trusted by us and my 12 year old Senegal. He is a walking book of knowledge and loves to educate his patients which I appreciate. We don't know what we would do without him!!
