One star is five stars too many! Gordon's did a new brake system, (and other work), on my classic truck. Gordon unilaterally decided to change the size of the brake parts, (11" instead of 10"), which is a positive improvement BUT he only upgraded one end of the vehicle and didn't put a proportioning valve back into the new system. The front brakes locked up on the freeway, to avoid causing a multi-car accident, I hit the k-rail and bounced off the rear wheels of a semi-trailer. The body damage to my truck was extensive, Gordon promised to make it right. He installed a proportioning valve and then avoided me and never did fix the body of my truck. He's also one of those fakers who hides behind being "Christian" to try to make you sympathetic while they screw you!

I'm only giving four stars because I never give five (even though Al deserves it) because most people ignore 5-star reviews... Plus you can ignore the low-rated reviews here as they refer to the previous ownership. But I was referred to Al in 2019 by a mechanic friend who just didn't have the time/equipment to help me at the time. Since then, Al's done work on all four of our cars (engine, cooling system, suspension, brakes, electrical...) to great satisfaction and at a fraction of the cost of a bigger shop or dealer. He only does the work that's necessary, and doesn't try to sell you on a bunch of maintenance stuff you don't need! Trustworthiness is everything, and when you find a mechanic you trust, don't go anywhere else!
