I have been seeing Dr. Woods for the last couple years trying to keep my 16 year old shitzu with Disk disease out of pain. He has kindly explained to me what I will be dealing with and we have taken on the challenge. I wanted to say thank you so much Monique and Hannah that got me in with sister Sailor. Sailor wasn't barking and eating less. I was giving her a day or two but I felt her neck and noticed she was swollen. Hannah was amazing explaining to me my options. I was so worried about my sweet 16 yr old girl. We decided on a plan and this morning Sailor definitely got her bark back and is eating like a champ! I felt comfortable explaining that I really don't want to do anything invasive with my 2 shitzus at their age and she gave me a couple options for once we face some bad news. That very kind non judgmental attitude makes me feel like I won't hesitate to come in when there is an issue.

I cannot recommend this veterinarian enough. I love that he is also a holistic doctor. Double winner! So personable and helpful. Dr. Woods explains and answers your questions in Laymans terms. And his prices are very reasonable. Now the staff, one of the best that you can get to know, especially Monique and Hannah. I love these ladies. Thank you all!!!

I've had awful experiences with multiple vets with my past dog so with my current puppers Nolan, I was determined to find a vet that I could trust and I am so grateful to have found Dr. Woods and his amazing team. Nolan is a little senior pups and Dr. Woods has been taking care of him for over 3 years now. Nolan's health has had it's ups and downs as he's been getting older, and I don't think he would be the spry pup he is today without the care of Dr. Woods. Dr. Woods is thorough and leaves no stone unturned when approaching Nolan's care and treatment. I appreciate the time he takes to patiently talk through all our concerns and questions, making sure we feel confident in every decision with make with him. Every pet deserves a vet like Dr. Woods - you can trust they will get the best care. Thank you, Dr. Woods, Monique, Hannah, Julie and the whole team at Integrative Veterinary Health Center!! Nolan is very grateful :)

Dr. Woods is Wonderful- I highly HIGHLY recommend, my now late dog Sky had cancer and was only given less than 6 months to live. With Dr. Wood's expertise , Sky's last part of his life was extended by an additional 1 and 1/2 years and he was happy and healthy up until his he end , and additionally lived the full years of his breed. Warmest Thank you's again Dr. Woods and Wonderful staff!

Woods has an eclectic / broad education of holistic nature's, a brainiac. I saw him with my normal pup when he was with Dr. Jean Dodds ( who saw my Russian import with many issues back in the early 2000s). Woods moved office to Orange which was 20 mins further away from our home.

I felt the need to write this review because I have been having a difficult time with my dogs health and I figured this may help anyone in the future when deciding whether to bring their pet here or not. Dr. Woods treated my yellow lab, my tuxedo cat and now my brown lab Hershey. Anytime I have ever brought my pets to this clinic, he has spoken to me at length about their health and answered every single one of my questions no matter how long this took. In the past I have brought lists of supplements and foods that I feed my dogs and he would go over these lists and let me know in his opinion on each and every supplement or what I could add/remove from their diet. It would take too many words to write out why Dr. Woods is worth seeing over any 'conventional' veterinarian. I do give my respect to all veterinarians both holistic and conventional because without them we wouldn't have any information/help at all on how to heal our pets. However there is a huge difference when you talk to a holistic/integrative vet like Dr. Woods. Sometimes seeing a regular vet works out great, and I've had pets that hardly ever get sick and do just fine with regular treatments. Unfortunately, recently with my brown lab, I thought it was fine to take him into see some "regular" vets (for lack of a better word) due to a chronic ear infection and now I regret not going straight to Dr. Woods. He was the only vet out of 4 others to recommend a culture on the infected ear and testing for thyroid/ blood panel. The previous vets didn't perform any tests, only recommended anti-fungal creams and broad antibiotics and I believe that having his ear tested for specific bacteria would have greatly prevented it becoming so severe as it is now. For anyone worried about the costs, yes you may see a vet that is considerably more affordable and if that's all you can afford than by all means there is nothing wrong with that. The problem I personally experienced was that the general protocol to treat my dogs ear infection really only provided relief of the symptoms and no true healing of the cause for infection. So I kept paying over and over again for him to be seen and treated in the exact same manner and paying a lot more than if I had just gone straight to Dr. Woods to begin with. If you are still reading this because you need help with you pets illness, I would recommend Dr. Woods to all my family and friends. Take a list of questions and be sure you ask them what you need to know (vets can not read minds!) and be prepared to explain thoroughly what is happening with your pet. Dr. Woods is very knowledgable in pet nutrition and has alternative therapies like Chinese medicine, acupuncture, PEMF therapy. As an animal lover myself, I also really appreciate that he and his family rescue and take care of quite a few animals with special needs (they have an IG page if you want to check them out). Lastly, I've read some comments saying some of the front staff is rude and I wanted to say that in my own experience, the majority of the office staff are extremely kind and helpful. However, I have interacted with one particular staff employee who I perceived to be very rude to me on multiple occasions and made me feel very unwelcome. I usually hang up the phone if they answer and call back at a different hour to speak with someone else, so if you encounter them... just do what I do! It's worth it to be able to have my pets seen my Dr. Woods. Anyway, I hope this helps anyone else struggling with their pet. Wish you all the best.

He is helping me with my Westie whom I fondly named Mr Allergy. I like my regular vet but wanted to do some alternative treatments Because he was on antibiotics too much and I feared he would become resistant and that would be the end. So we are doing acupuncture and natural injections in additional to a soy diet (he's allergic to all other proteins) and daily feet washing and it's helping him a lot. Dr Woods is very kind and we are doing our best to extend my dogs life. The only negative is that they are really booked and will charge you $150 to drop off your dog for treatment. I live too far away so it's not really an option for me.

The front office staff is the rudest I have dealt with in a long time. I see other people have also mentioned this. Even though I like Dr. Woods, I will not be going any more. I do not know if he is guiding them to act this way, or he is not completely aware of their behavior. Rude, rude, uncaring and they do everything in their power to make sure you have no communication with the Doctor. Horrid and condescending staff!!!

I don't know how I've never reviewed DR. Woods because I've been a client for maybe a decade. My cavalier has a severe case of syringomyelia from the time she was 9 months and for about 2-3 years I was going to different vets trying to help her and find different meds that worked with her. She kept getting side effects to the meds and it was a difficult journey because she still had pain. I found out cold laser therapy helps with cases like her so I went to Dr. Woods bc he had the best price out of everyone in OC ( I seriously called about 30 places). Well, not only did the cold laser help but he also prescribed Chinese meds that worked fantastic with her current meds and she started doing very well. So we went back every 2 or so months for treatment and she is now 12 years old. The other doctors originally told me she probably wouldn't make it past 4. It's amazing what the right treatment can do. I'm eternally grateful for finding them and I'm now taking my other dog there for his care. When you find a good vet, keep with them. Dr. Woods genuinely cares for animals and you can see that during every visit. I've dealt with his staff numerous times over the many years and they have always been absolutely awesome. That's a rarity. Love you guys!!!

My allergic to many things rescue Shih Tzu mix has been seeing Dr. Woods since we adopted him in 2013. We’ve been through a number of additional medical issues together including a torn ACL (repaired), dry eye and now vertigo. I love that he has always presented the most conservative option first, that acupuncture and Chinese herbs are part of his expertise and treatment options and that he’s fully connected to the wider group of animal medical specialists in the area and perfectly willing to say “this has gone beyond me and I recommend you see....”. The staff has always been and continue to be friendly, kind and completely professional. I’ve lived a lot of different places, had a number of different vets but never one I liked and respected more than Dr. Woods.

I have 3 chihuahuas that have all suffered from acute illness and/or injury within the last few months. Dr Woods holistic care has made a HUGE difference in their stability and recovery. Most significant is my 16 year old male chihuahua in stage 3 kidney disease now has his energy and appetite back. Traditional care, fluids every day along with appetite stimulants, had little if any effect on his stability. Accupuncture and the homotoxicology therapy have had excellent results.I could not be more pleased.
