BEWARE OF THIS SHOP!!!Steve Eschelbach and his crew at Brake Masters Store 133 in Orangevale fried my entire electrical system in my car replacing my alternator.I initially took my car in for my door handle to be replaced at which time they also recommended a myriad of suspension work to be done as well as replacing my alternator and battery that I agreed to have them to do. When I went to pick up my vehicle it was inoperable and they had "no idea" what happened or how to fix it. (my car was completely operable before) Over the course of the next week or so the crew at BM tried to figure out what they did to my car. All the while they were IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of and I had to acquire rides and SHOW UP IN PERSON to get any status updates on my car NUMEROUS TIMES. They wouldn't ever call to update me and their phone would ring off the hook with no option to leave a voicemail. They told me they couldn't figure out what was wrong and shipped my car off to the local Nissan dealership. After Nissans examination it was clear that the "repairs" BM did my my alternator caused not only the IPDM but the ECU and all electronic components to be completely fried. the total cost to get my car running again was nearly $3,500. This is AFTER I already paid BM $3,500 for what they did to my car.I then went to BM to share Nissans findings with Steve and he immediately shooed me off refusing to look at any of my documents. I asked for his supervisors information and he refused to give me that as well.Distraught, I called the BM corporate number to try and file a complaint against Steve and was patched though to their customer support line that had a FULL voicemail box. I ended up speaking to an operator an she told me Steves supervisor Enrique would be contacting me regarding the matter. This was 4 days ago and I still haven't heard anything.I wend BACK to BM in person because I again couldn't reach them by telephone and Steve literally RAN to the back room when I tried to get ant information on who to contact to fix this issue. He then came out of the back room and informed me that his supervisor advised him to not communicate with me and that his supervisor is not going to talk to me either and that "the lawyers would contact me" I was again literally shooed out of the store with no answers and no direction.I then called the BM cooperate line again and am awaiting the call from the District manager Mike. Apparently Enrique is "out" Currently. UNREAL!The absolute lack of communication and unwillingness to work with a long time customer (about 7 years) is disgusting. I feel hurt, used, and disrespected. I need that money for rent and to feed my family. hopefully someone sees this and avoids this awful unprofessional "business" Avoid Steve Eschelbach and BM at all costs!

I made an appointment on-line, brought my car in at the scheduled time and got right in. They did great work and have friendly staff. I was recommended by my friend and am happy with the service I received. Thank you

I recently took my Subaru Forester to Brake Masters in order to check out my front brakes that were making squealing sounds as I had previously purchased the brakes some ten months earlier. Upon pulling up the file the employee said that they would immediately have a look at the brakes all the way around the vehicle. He gave me an approximate time to complete the inspection and I later returned to find the vehicle being lowered from the rack. The employees displayed a high degree of customer service skills for which I’m very grateful. The squealing is gone and I am a very satisfied customer. Thanks Brake Masters!

The guy that runs this place is unhinged. I had my brakes replaced with Brake Masters in January for $700. Last week they went out again. I returned to have them looked at, this time it was another part that was not under warranty. Another $600 and I get my car back and the brakes don’t feel right. they drove around the block with me and said it’s normal. You just have to pump the brakes and it should work itself out. Last night my breaks stopped working and locked up with three kids in the car, which was super scary. hey, bring it back in first thing this morning and the guy won’t even make eye contact with me when I walk in the door. then he says you’re fine with leaving your car overnight right, because I have 18 cars in front of you. No I’m not fine with that. You guys messed up my car and I would like you to prioritize it because it’s a safety issue for me driving my kids around and it’s your fault. He starts freaking out, flailing his arms around and tells me he’s done and for me to get out of his shop. Zero compassion or customer service for what they are putting me through. Do not trust this place with your family’s safety.Service: Brake service & repair

I was helped by Daniel and Steve. They helped me get the best price for my new lifetime brakes and resurfaced my rotors. Very friendly. Spent about an 2 hours there.

Brought car in for a pulling to left when brakes applied. Diagnosis is change the whole front brake system, since rotors are thin but pads are still very good. Two days later, I pick up the car and was told the symptom is still there and that they could not fix that problem; and that I should bring the car to a European specialist. This is after paying more than $1600 for the job that did not fix my problem. I would think again before bringing your car to this establishment. Oh and the appointment system is a joke. Waited for 2 hours to get a brake checkup even with an appointment.

Brake Masters is an awesome business. They did such a good job and at a good price. They even put air in my tires without me asking them to. It maybe part of the basic service, but it was a lovely surprise. I highly recommend them.Service: Brake service & repair

The one on Greenback seems to be a rip off or the mechanics dont care. Daughter took her car in for oil change and tire rotation. Hub cap fell off her tire on the way home. Didnt top iff her fluids. This is the 2nd time she has tried this one and not happy. I went to see about why my car was only breaking with front brakes. Told me everything is fine I just need break fluid change. Went to another break master in roseville and they checked and adjusted a mechanism in back and my car breaks so much better. They told me that this is not adjusting like it should in the back gave me ideas to replace. I would not suggest the one one greenback in orangevale

Excellent Service! Daniel was extremely detailed and professional in my customer experience. The mechanic Tony also, took the extra time to review the car findings and shared his knowledge of my particular vehicle. Good work done on my car. Didn’t need brakes but they identified and took care of some other problems satisfactorily. Took it in early and they had to order parts that didn’t arrive until late in day so they finished next day. Good communication.Services: Steering & suspension repair
