Ernie is the best independent Mercedes mechanic. He answers your questions without hesitantation and gives you options on any needed parts. I've taken several of our vehicles there over the years and referred many people there who were also very happy with their repairs there.

Recently bought a 1979 300SD and after getting the pre-purchase inspection results, tried to find a good mechanic in the Folsom area. One highly rated local shop basically told me they weren’t interested, but to take the car to Ernie’s shop. Upon arrival i saw that all the cars there were older, and felt much more at ease. Ernie sat down with me for a good 20 minutes (keep in mind he is a one man shop) going over the invoice with me. The cost of everything at the other shop would have been around $2000 for getting the flex disks repaired, V-belts replaced, an oil change, a valve adjustment(which requires replacing the main engine seal), some suspension work, and various other things. Ernie got everything done for $1500 and kept various parts for me to see when he was done. He also said he’d keep an eye out for the parts on my car that were close to wearing out and hard to come by, specifically on the accelerator assembly. Overall a great experience and will definitely be going back if I ever need service again!

Ernie is the best Merc mech. you could ever get. Had older Mercs since 1996, and you can't find a more honest mechanic. The guy makes me want to get another one just so I can have him give me tips every time to I get a repair. Great guy.
