Pros: clean, safe, free airCons: expensive, pumps not well maintained (good number either don’t work or are very finicky)

The prices at this station are ridiculous. They're currently charging $6.59 a gallon for diesel. Chevron in Walnut Creek is $5.09/gallon. The Orinda location is a corporate owned station as well. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being ripped off.

Lovely little Chevron. They always have gas when I need it. Never have to wait in line. I don't really understand what the other comments are going on about. This is a lovely neighborhood Chevron.

I'll be honest, this review really shouldn't be about the gas price because gas prices are bad everywhere but they're extremely bad at this station. It's easily $0.50 higher than gas stations on the Peninsula and other parts of the Bay Area and I'm sure it's purely based off of location because it's right off the freeway. Aside from the price, they do have touchless payments at the pump which I like. I did not interact with the staff or use any of the other amenities so I can't speak on them.

August 24, 2019: I usually buy my gasoline at Costco, but today I needed to get to an appointment quickly so I stopped at this station in Orinda to buy some gasoline. I put my Costco card into pump card reader and I got a "card reader does not work" message. I tried again and got the same message; I went over to the cashier and politely stood in line to waited on. I asked the unshaven, unhealthy looking, middle-aged, FAT-SLOB dressed in a Chevron shirt if the pump reader was working on pump 2. He said "YEP." I said the pump card reader gave me an error message; the FATSO said "YEP-the card readers all work; your card must be no good." He made no effort to solve my problem with the pump card reader. I don't want to argue with the SLOB, so I walked out and drove across the street to the Shell station. I put my card into the Shell pump card reader and was approved to buy gas. I realize the FATSO at the Chevron station is no Einstein (or why else would he be selling candy at a Chevron station at his age??? Is he being retrained from re-cycling garbage?). Some people work at very high levels of society making significant contributions and others (like FATSO) can only say "YEP" and stay working at the KIDDIE TABLE of society having no significance to society whatsoever. FATSO's contribution to society is this: He is a middle aged man who sells candy at a gas station. If he suddenly died, no one would even notice for at least 6 weeks and only because corpse would start to stink!!!

Cleaner than most gas stations and the attendant was helpful when the machine had trouble reading my credit card (it needed to be held just right). Free air and water, even if you don't fill up with gas.

Chevron in Orinda is owned by Chevron Inc. This location repeatedly raises prices in lock-step with oil price increases, HOWEVER, they keep prices high compared to both (a) Chevron Stations in nearby cities (not owned by Chevron Inc.) and (b) non-Chevron stations in nearby communities. It's a rip-off Orinda, stay away!

they might not maintain their pump regularly, I don't visit there often, today is my third time experience issue with them. Everything seems normal, I insert card, enter zip select grade and start to pull trigger but nothing comes out from nozzle. And I asked cashier why , then he told me the pump is not working and he isn't even going to make a note on it to warn next customer. I am not sure if it is really a pump problem or someone is playing game with me. Seems like the cashier there has a bad mood all the day.

2/21/18 Well, honestly I normally don't judge a gas station on it's price, but at least $0.50 cents higher per gallon than the average station around (and I really mean Concord, but even significantly less in Lafayette)... come on now?!

I don't usually review gas stations because, well, they're gas stations : ) However, this one is not one that I stop at any longer. #1: Prices are at least 20 cents higher than at other gas stations #2: Attendants are less than helpful and seem clueless when issues arise #3: Customers leave cars parked at the pumps, while they use the facilities, leaving other customers stranded behind them! #4: Getting in and out can cause a near collision if you choose to turn from or onto Santa Maria Way. Whereas I used to stop in out of shear necessity, I now watch my gas dial and pump my gas elsewhere.

If you enjoy your credit card info being stolen and charged $101 on top of your $23 gas purchase, this is the place to go. their pumps are rigged with credit card machine readers to steal your info. boy cott this place. the worker was staring right at me with some sketchy looking people at the other side of the pumps. 4/6/15 1:50am late sunday night/ early mon morning
