TLDR: Salesperson follows me through store, repeatedly offering help even when body language, tone of voice and WORDS clearly said "no." Went into store just to browse. They have a LOT of stuff, it's super cute, but can be a bit visually overwhelming. So, definitely a store to stop and take your time in. Walk in, super, overeager saleslady immediately approaches me as I step in the door. "Hello, can I help you find anything?" "No thank you, just browsing." Making my way slowly through store, finally spot an entire row of notebooks and journals in various sizes, colors and patterns. In midst of looking through trying to find one I like- I really like 5 by 8 inch blank, bound journals- and they had several nice ones at good prices. As I making selection, saleslady approaches me again. "Can I help you find anything specific, make a suggestion?" This time, much less friendly, not even looking up or turning around (my back is to her). "No, I'm fine." Continue through store, find fabulous selection of pens- gel, fine tip, felt tip, etc. Mulling choices. She walks up to me a THIRD time. "Any questions? Can I help you find something?" "You can leave me to shop in peace." I set down journal- which I had now been carrying at least 20 minutes- in retail world this means I'm going to by it- and leave the store as she's stammering apologies behind me. I like to shop local, but Amazon is getting my money this time.

I just had the most extraordinary experience I have ever had in a stationery store, but not in the way you would think. The store itself is adorable. Fabulous assortment of gift cards and unique novelty gifts for all ages and occasions. HOWEVER, as a visitor to the area who had just enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the same retail center with Mom and friend, I wanted to walk around and see the shops. So, we visited this store and decided to buy some items for others and ourselves. A very well-put together elderly lady was alone in the store and working the register. I FULLY believe in employing elderly, especially competent elderly people. I know that working provides purpose and positive self esteem. Working retail can be stimulating. I handed four items to the woman and very patiently waited for her to enter the items into the cash register. She did not know how to find the price on cards and bar coded items, so my greeting card was entered as $10 instead of $8.95. My total was $41.22, but she had told me that was the change she owed me. I handed her $100. She attempted for quite some time to figure out the change for me, then handed me $41.37 in change. Without looking at the receipt to see how items had been entered, etc, I knew that she had miscounted the change and given me too much. . So, I requested a dime and returned the quarter. She was mystified. Then, as she was slowly rang up my mother's purchase, I realized my TOTAL was $41.22 and that she should have given me a different amount of change. I also realized that she had mischarged me. I let her finish my mom's transaction before resolving mine. However, she messed THAT up so badly that she not only frustrated US, but lost three other customers. My mom's total was $37.65. My mom wanted to pay by credit card, but that scared the woman. I provided exact change to her for payment, but she closed the register's money drawer before accepting the payment. When I asked her to take the payment, she refused and said she had already accepted my mom's payment. Now, as a courtesy to not make her feel incompetent, I patiently explained that she closed the cash drawer before putting the payment in there and had, in fact, never accepted payment. It took some convincing, but I think she finally understood. At this point, I am thinking the owner of this store is quite incompetent for hiring this person, putting her on the register, and leaving her in the store alone. The flustered and confused woman was unable to open the cash drawer again AND unable to fulfill my request of processing a return of my 4 items to give me my $100 back. I said that I just want to return the items and get my $100 back. About to lose our minds, we beg her to call someone to come in and help her. She accused us of confusing her. That is when I explained to her that she initially messed up my entire purchase without any word from us so she was confused long before we entered the store. Finally the manager entered and I explained the entire situation. In the meantime, MY elderly mother was exhausted and not feeling well. This lady is lucky that we didn't take advantage of her and take our stuff for free! What if we weren't honest people who were sensitive to her situation? More customers left the store. I thought the manager was going to blow a gasket as I explained the situation. But, as a business owner, I blame the owner of this store. What on earth made that person think that his woman could handle the responsibilities bestowed on her? Yes, hire her to do SOMETHING, but NOT THAT! Those two purchases took 45 minutes, not including the shopping around in the store part. I have absolutely never had a retail experience like this. Obviously, this woman is in the early stages of dementia. How does a manager or owner LEAVE her in the store alone to handle sales and purchases? I can't even imaging how many other purchases have been messed up or unpaid on the days she has worked at this store. Very sad all the way around. NO one left a winner or

This is a very well-stocked card shop, with I'm guessing over 150 linear, feet floor to ceiling, stocked with cards. There are also gifts and stationary, wrapping paper and soaps on sale here. This is not the place you're going to find a completely rare, laugh out loud, handcrafted card... But there's also no way you're going to walk out of here without a nice message, regardless of what your need may be.

I love this place! I really like to give my loved ones a little special something that really speaks to their own individual personality and here I find the perfect card or perfect gift. They have such a wide variety of gifts that are so unique. I like to just roam the store and look at all the cute knick knacks they have.

Awesome and very large collection of birthday, anniversary, greeting cards. Much larger than the drugstores and much higher quality for that special person. I also enjoy my interactions with the woman who runs the store. She is very helpful and pleasant.
