McDonnell Nursery is a terrific family owned business that has been in Orinda for many decades. It is a wonderful nursery with a good selection of outdoor and indoor plants, including some hard to find edibles. The staff is always helpful, friendly, delightful, knowledgeable, and personable. They provide excellent service, eager to help customers be successful gardeners by answering questions, giving valuable tips, and identifying plant problems. Their rose classes are especially good. Prices are very reasonable, making it a great go-to place for vegetables, edibles, and garden plants.
I don't live in the area but always look at this place when I drive by for work. I finally had the chance to go back on a weekend and walk around at this beautiful Nursery. Purchased a few plants but wished I grabbed a more. Such a great place and definitely will make time to go back.

We enjoy supporting local businesses and this is a great place to grab plants. The staff was helpful and guided us in our plant selection. Will definitely be heading back for more plants in the future.
