Morning and afternoon crew are equally very good with customers. The young ladie that works the afternoon shift is very polite.Danny is the most conscientious man on the crew. Chris, one of the employee's helped me get into my locker, Chris had boltcutters, so he broke the lock. I was able to get back into my locker. Construction is complete, and the place looks great. I prefer Oxnard location as being 3 minutes from the crib.

From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by a friendly and energetic staff member named Danny at the front desk. His exceptional service and genuine passion for fitness truly made my visits to the gym an absolute pleasure. First and foremost, the facilities at 24 Hour Fitness Channel Islands are top-notch. The gym boasts a wide range of equipment, ensuring there is something for everyone, regardless of their fitness goals. The variety of cardio machines, weightlifting equipment, and group exercise classes cater to individuals of all fitness levels. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and provides a comfortable and motivating environment for workouts. However, what truly sets this gym apart is the exceptional customer service delivered by Danny. He greets every member with a warm smile, creating a welcoming atmosphere right from the start. Danny possesses an extensive knowledge of the facility's offerings and takes the time to answer questions, provide guidance, and offer valuable suggestions tailored to individual needs. Danny's dedication to customer satisfaction is commendable. He is always available to assist. Whether it's helping me set up my membership, explaining the different amenities, or providing advice on training programs, Danny's patience, professionalism, and genuine care for myself and every other member who came in shine through. I would also like to point out the outstanding customer service provided by the manager Cody who followed up with me within hours of my initial visit. Another notable quality of Cody was his proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and equipment functionality. He consistently ensured that the gym was spotless, with sanitized equipment readily available. His dedication to maintaining a high standard of hygiene and safety are commendable, especially considering the current health climate. Cody's attention to detail in this regard not only enhanced the overall gym experience but also contributed to the overall well-being and peace of mind of the members. Overall this gym earned 5 stars and I look forward to going. ?️♂️

This place is disgusting, everything is dirty, including equipment and restrooms. Saw people with open wounds using the equipment and no intervention by staff. Also you don’t even get full amenities that most 24 hr fitness have. And the worst is that most of the gym members are so obnoxious with the equipment, they drop it, and don’t clean up after themselves. I’ve always had 24hr membership and have never seen a gym that is as disgusting. Staff is nice though.

Where do I even begin? Once a great gym now ran deep into the ground. Let's begin!Upon entry, 99% of the time you are greeted by... NO ONE! The staff that is behind the desk are always on their phones which seems to be the norm at this gym. If there isn't anything for an employee to do, then have them stock, go make their rounds to clean up, make calls to sign people up or simply flip through a magazine but they shouldn't just sit behind the desk, on their phone not paying attention to anyone. Goes to show the unprofessionalism and immaturity behind this management. When I am rarely greeted, especially by the manager it is almost unwelcoming. She is very fake, her tone in her voice changes, her persona and demeanor completely changes. Then once you walk pass, you can clearly hear her go back to her normal self. I dread walking in because you never know when she's there and her fake Hi's just ruin's my mood. I almost want to tell her " If you don't want to be here, go find another job" It's as if she's only showing up for a paycheck and can careless about the facility itself. Now for the restrooms/locker rooms. The place is a disaster! I highly doubt the facilities are cleaned daily, let alone monthly. I'll see the same pieces of gum inside the urinals for at least two months before they seem to be removed. The actual toilets seemed to be littered with feces, and on top of the urinals, are always yellow. Nothing seems to get cleaned in here besides the mirror's, which seem to be on occasion. I guess it keeps people happy when they're flexing but I'd rather have clean stalls than a clean mirror. In the end, this falls on poor management. Most of the treadmills don't work properly and the staff doesn't seem to care. When you go up to the actual weight room, you have grips missing from machines and if they're not missing, they are either mismatched, ripping or sliding off and then you're greeted with this black sticky resin that sticks to your hand. The machines are so close to one another it makes the gym seem overly crowded; every single machine is touching each other. There are machines that are back-to-back which shouldn't even be placed as such. You cannot load any plates on most of the machines and it's difficult to move considering their pressing into the other machines. Everything should be arranged at the end of the night, back in order, spaced properly but again, this falls onto poor management. There is a big slab of concrete that has been broken and removed and has been uncovered for about three months now. UNCOVERED, which I'm sure will cause future respiratory issues from inhaling all that debris that is kicked up in the air from all the weights slamming on the ground around it. This is hazardous and management should be ashamed for putting other people's health at risk. She's in for a big lawsuit along with 24 hour if someone develops something and it correlates to that exposed concrete opening. Again, very poor management. You can't blame anyone but the manager. Ultimately, she sets the tone and the staff follows suit. Is it that difficult to walk around after hours(before opening and after closing) to see how the gym machines are set? To check the facilities to make sure they're properly cleaned? To check all the machines to make sure they're functioning properly or at least don't have any rips or tears in the the leather. Checking the cable pulleys to make sure the wires aren't frayed? How hard is it to check the floor to make sure it's been getting vacuumed? Maybe she's a good manager at other types of work but she definitely does not know how to handle a gym facility. She needs to go! Along with the District Manager, they both need to go. It's almost as if both are in cahoots to save one another's butt. I've seen them both walking around and nothing changes. Corporate needs to make an unannounced visit, so they can actually see how far into t

My 2nd visit to this Location, 1st visit: The people working the front desk act like it's a chore to help you... I made a purchase of 2 Gatorades and a protein cookie on my $60 gift voucher (which i received when signing up paying $350 for a year) via the GC- code and had a balance of $40... 2nd visit, I tried to make another purchase with my gift voucher code, but this time they say it says "voucher already sold" in their system and told me I need a voucher card to make a purchase -- i never received this "voucher card", nor did I even get a receipt for my Last purchase! But "there is nothing we can do until our manager comes back next Tuesday..." Today is Friday. UNPROFESSIONAL.

This is one of the least professional 24 hour fitness gyms I have even been too. They need to change their name because they are not open 24 hours and to make matters worse they don't even open at the time (5am) they are suppose to be open. Very frustrating, would not be an issue if this gym was OPEN 24 hours like it's name says. This is not the first time this has been an issue. Very unprofessional.

Compared to other 24 hour fitnesses in SoCal this one is 2 stars. Worse to less worse: There is no sauna, or at least I couldn't find it. The mens bathroom floods and there is hardly any water pressure. Also there is no privacy for the showers. People who go to the gym don't wash there hands. Or the few dudes I saw use the bathroom didn't. The running machines are downstairs and the weights/equipment is upstairs. This is barely a gym. It's very small. If your desperate go here otherwise just go to literally any other 24 in the area. I really hope they fix their problems.

It serves it purpose to get my work out in. The machines aren't wiped down and the aerobic room floor and mirrors are dirty. The bathrooms are unkept, smells like urine, toilet paper pieces on the floor, soap dispensers are often empty, and the water and sinks smells like sewer. I bring my wipes and water bottle, it's doable for now. You would think with COVID-19 24 Hour Fitness would kick it up a few notches to keep it extra clean. On a positive note, it's nice to not have to wear a mask while working out: all though the stench is bad at times, it may help to wear it.

Zero stars. Female worker at front desk with blonde hair. Did not let me with in a 3 day pass to check out a 24 hour fitness. I'll be going to LA fitness.

never opens on time especially weekends. Not a small amount of irony for a gym entitled 24 hour fitness. Perhaps a better name would be “weopen when we want”
