We're extremely grateful for the services that they offer, especially during these difficult times. <3We originally learned about them a few years ago. They built a ramp onto the elevated porch of our home. Today we'll be picking up a pantry box.

OPEN WEEKDAYS NOW or so I was told. I am also told the pantry is still giving out food Thursdays at 1:30 PM.Services are uneven; they have faltered often.Business hours change often. Showers were closed for a ridiculously long time; the City kicked in $40,000 to get the showers redone. The paperwork was botched, it took almost six months to get the showers up and running.Earlier, I got bad information on getting health coverage; it needlessly took a year.IMPORTANT: Bad information is very prevalent in Oxnard, especially with service agencies. Ask at least two parties as a rule. Ask ALL parties as to whether the information given is accurate, particularly contact information.Phoning Community Action often results in foul-ups. I have been transferred to known vacant offices, I have been put on hold and forgotten, and I have been given bad information.I was not impressed by this outfit and had grave doubts about their competency as regards correct information and initiative. I sure do hope they are more helpful and competent this time around.REMEMBER: double check on any and all information offered in Oxnard! Bad information is practically a way of life here!

I went for the first time for their food pantry day. I received a box of good stuff; Fruit (strange looking giant lemon type things), Veggies and Chickens, Thank you! Once I arrived it was difficult to figure out how to get actually get in there, the food pantry is around back and you cant just drive back there from the street. Its a little far away but was worth checking out. After reading what happened to Mary M. in 2017 I can't give 5 stars.
