I'm a man of few words and barely write reviews. Straight to the point, this is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Greeter was nice, room was flawless, service was great. Couldn't ask for more honestly.

While not bad, this will likely be my last time in a courtyard.
Pro:
- decent room (large size)
- decent coffee in the lobby (Starbucks machine but so expensive)
- allowed to check in early (Marriott status)
Con:
- room was hot
- water pressure non-existant
- pillows have like 3 feathers in them
- outside appearance
- mattress a little to firm for me
While not bad, I think this location do much better!

This was not a great experience. When we arrived both (the only 2) elevators were broken. Ultimately fixed. They say their Bistro stays open until 10, but when we got back it was closed at 9:30PM. The nighttime staff is pretty grouchy, daytime was ok. When the elevator was broken the desk staff couldn't tell us where the stairs were. Not good.
Rooms: Rooms were not bad. Unfortunately, there was a suite next to us that played loud music with loud going men. Yuck

A very nice hotel, comfortable beds, very clean rooms. They moved us from the second floor to the 4th floor. The young man was very professional, very friendly, better than the girl who checked in when we arrived. In the end we had a beautiful view of the pool and the city, simply beautiful.

Super low key. Right off the freeway next to the two biggest buildings in oxnard. Super under rated. Just don’t be hanging out in the parking lot.

As part of the Marriot chain, I really expected more of this hotel. I chose it because it was easily accesible from the freeway to my end destination. It is a really old hotel that they tried really hard on making it look shiny, but didnt work. I made my reservation about two months in advance, but they still managed to give me the worst room there was available. First of all, they gave me the room closest to the Jacuzzi where people was drinking and having fun, but I could hear everything they said since the window was really close to it. One of the beds was done, you couldnt even sit in there and the other one was near to the same state as the other bed. The sheets looked dirty and I slept with my clothes on. Terrible sleep. The main door didnt even seal! The light was coming from all four frames of the door and you could hear everything in the hall. A couple of hand towels were stained and the sink smelled funny. One of the worst hotels I have stayed. Not recommended.
Rooms: Really old hotel, old rooms, old beds & sheets.
Food and drinks: There is a Starbucks inside the hotel, but it closes randomly during the day.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently stayed at Courtyard Oxnard Ventura during the Dallas Cowboys training camp and had an unforgettable experience. The hospitality was exceptional from start to finish.
A special shoutout to Betty, whose kindness and care truly made a difference in my stay. When I fell ill, she went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, even sending hot tea up to my room and checking on me as if I were family. This level of care and attention is rare and so appreciated.
The entire staff at the Courtyard Oxnard Ventura were warm and accommodating, making my stay pleasant and stress-free. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a welcoming and supportive environment. Thank you for making my stay so memorable! Thank you again Betty!

Nice rooms, typical of a courtyard. Ants were present but not insane. Overall I enjoyed it there.

We made a reservation at this hotel for 3 nights for a girls trip. We arrived, dropped our luggage off, and then left for the afternoon. When we came back in the evening, the room was very hot. We proceeded to turn on the air conditioner. It ran for less than a minute and turned off. It said the temperature was 68 degrees but it was roasting in the room. They called maintenance and the guy was surprised that they had recently had the AC replaced but they never finished the setup. No thermostat on the wall, etc. We were moved to a room on the first floor. The room was a bit musty, but we were tired, it was late, and we began to unpack. Used the sink, it clogged. Maintenance was called again. When we finally got to bed and started drifting off around 11:30, the fire alarm went off. As we began to exit the room, another guest was coming down the hall from the front desk and said it was a false alarm and that they had confirmed that this had happened at other times!! In the morning, we had ants crawling in our beds, on the walls, the desk. When we complained, we were told it was hot and this just happens. What?!! I shouldn't go to a hotel to expect ants in my bed when I wake up. The wallpaper was peeling, there were water stains on the ceilings and the bathroom was less than clean. The ceiling in the fitness area was literally falling down and they had more than one bucket catching water. We told them we wanted to transfer to another hotel and got the run around about how my Marriott points couldn't be put back into my account for the other 2 nights for at least a couple of days. After wasting nearly 2 hours of our vacation talking with the front desk staff and a couple of calls to a Marriott customer service specialist, my points were back in my account within minutes. I was highly disappointed with the fact that I was blatantly lied to about my points not being able to be put back immediately for use at another hotel. We would absolutely not stay at this hotel again. It was the worst experience we have ever had.

6/25/24: Stayed here during a work trip for one week.
Rooms were typical 3 star courtyard. The bathroom was 2 star. Lights & fan were wired incorrectly. Towels very thin and rough as other reviews stated. Soap was tiny. Shower gels on the wall. Nothing exceptional about the bathroom, it did the job though. TV was big and standard streaming/cable for Marriott brands. Coffee maker in the room - tray insert type. Mini fridge and mini nuke.
Cool curved couch.
And yes, ants in the bathroom...
AC worked well.
Nice to be able to keep the be slider open at night for fresh air.
Front desk staff were pleasant.
The hot tub was nice. Bar/coffee bar had decent options. Mini store had decent options too.
This hotel is in the middle of a corporate park, so nothing is going on around the hotel. I did walk across the parking lot to the ramen place. It was good! There's a Marco's pizza and a cafe over there too.
Safety: Seemed safe.
