I swear, this is the best service I have ever received at the dmv. I would also say this has to be in my top 5 best customer service for any place I have ever received. Thank you Benjamin for taking the time to help and answer all my questions, and thank you for your patience. Dmv should give him a raise. He is very knowledgeable, helpful and nice.

One of the behind the wheel exam instructors memorized the DMV handbook statements and will respond with those statements verbatim lol. We had the car insurance verified inside at the counter using the insurance app. They signed off the form you give the examiner that the car insurance is verified along with the other important documents. My recommendation is to print out the car insurance if you are taking the behind the wheel test. Digital verification of car insurance will be approved at counter but one of the exam instructors seems to only want paper copies. Usually, we keep a paper copy of the policy in the car, but everything is going digital now. All that was said to him was that the "car insurance was verified as a digital copy" inside. His response was " you are required to carry proof of insurance at all times". I responded with "yes, it is digital cop.....". He just says it again " you are required to carry proof of insurance at all times". He would not even let me finish my response sentence. He could have just said it is always best practice to carry a paper copy in your car and it helps him out as well. Exam was able to be taken still. Just say as little as possible and let him look through your documents. I know we all have bad days, but we should all treat each other kindly. We were not being rude to him at all. With the new digital age, a new statement can be memorized :). California Vehicle Code 16028 states, "The evidence of financial responsibility may be provided using a mobile electronic device." I will add that there are some good employees here. The people at the counter were nice. We need kinder and more communicative people at the DMV. I understand one off situations every now and then though. It is the DMV after all. I hope he is not like this everyday...

The lady’s at the window are super nice but the men at the drivers windows and the instructors definitely need a snickers bar. Like they clearly don’t like their jobs.

Leaving a 5 star review for a DMV is kinda unexpected but honestly after making the rounds, I've found the Oxnard to be the kindest and most efficient DMV I've been to. I've seen with 3 different techs, each sympathetic and thoughtful and really worked with me to resolve my problem. Sure the office will get crowded but they work through everyone efficiently. I got the sense that I wasn't just a number on a conveyer belt but a member of the community who needed help with paperwork.

In and out very quickly. Staff there were professional and friendly. I got my license renewal and Real ID in 1/2 hour.
