After reading reviews, I was very happy my dog was going here to be seen! My appointment was at 9:40 am, I was 5 minutes late & I apologized, I filled out the paperwork & gave it back to the front desk! My dog was never seen & I had waited o er 2 hours to be seen & be told the doctor likes togi e asmuch time is needed to each patient regardless of appointment. I get it. I want the best for my guy but this wait was unexceptable!/

Quality, compassionate care.I had to take my kitty Princess in to be euthanized yesterday. The staff were very nice and Dr. Feingold was amazing. He did a consultation where we went over everything. It was very thorough and helpful. They have these brochures to help with loss. That is so thoughtful and kind.I got to spend some time with my cat before we left. It was very good that I got my kisses in, as the last cat I did not. This is the place to go. The care is the finest and the compassion is real.UPDATE: We recently received a card in the mail from Dr. Feingold wishing us well about having to put down Princess.

Dr Feingold is a thorough Vet. He explained in detail the issues with my cat Diva. He gives discounts to Seniors and the Staff is professional.

This was the worst vet I've ever been to. The staff was nice but the older man vet was horrid. He made huge mistakes with surgery and then tacked on more money after making me sign a receipt with a 0 balance added 450 after the fact. My poor pet didn't even make it home before there were complications and then he traumatized me forcing me to come into the surgery area which should be against the law and seeing my poor pet suffer. Telling me I would be Lucky if she made it through the night. He was so disrespectful and so cold. Not worth your let's life .

Absolutely awful experience!! Take your animals and run! We've never been treated so disrespectfully in a clinic! The vet spoke over us, talked down to us, and was extremely rude. Not only to us but to other clients in the office. I'm not easily offended by words, but calling the animal shelter "the pound" is extremely outdated, especially for someone in the field. The vet assumed our dog behaved in a certain way without actually asking us about his demeanor or (shock!) actually interacting with our dog! Our dog was treated like a vicious monster because he had come from the shelter where he exhibited fearful (but not aggressive) behaviors. Any other vet would have offered us encouragement and advice for a successful adoption of a dog with baggage. Instead, this vet encouraged us to return the dog because he felt like our family wasn't a good fit based on his breed. In all, my biggest concern is for the staff who work there. If you're reading this, please know there are plenty of jobs out there. Do not subject yourself to working in an office with someone so disrespectful! NO ONE deserves to be talked to the way this man speaks to people.

I do find Dr Feingold a bit off-putting. Probably as much my issue as his. What there can be no argument with is his competence. If you're looking for a drinking buddy it ain't here but if knowing your pet is in the hands of a competent Pro with a capital "P" is the goal you got your man. Staff is the best.

My doggy is doing great. The doctor has been the only one to have helped my pet. Though, the fee's are a little bit above average.

To those who might be looking into taking their animal(s) to Oxnard Veterinary Hospital (or to those who were referred to Oxnard Veterinary Hospital by another veterinary hospital, as was the case with me)---I am honestly not sure how there are any negative reviews floating around for Oxnard Veterinary Hospital... My experience with them today was absolutely fantastic. I truly felt like my dog was in caring hands with the doc, not to mention I felt welcomed as soon as I walked in the door.To those on-the-fence about their animal's care at Oxnard Vet, here is my unbiased feedback from my visit today--Time: Unlike past vet visits, in no way did I feel 'rushed' during my visit here. The doctor actually spent a lot of time with me today... Q&A/learning about my animal's history, going over different treatment options after his diagnosis and even took extra time to elaborate and make sure I knew how to do some at-home treatment/care for my animal.Price: The animal that I took in for a visit today has been my companion through my own personal financial hardships, as well as times of financial 'normalcy'. Having said that, I've been to many different vet offices (price usually being front of mind for me)... Oxnard Vet is honestly one of the more affordable choices I've been to. Without asking, the doctor told me the prices of getting my dog's shots/vaccines during the same day visit and quickly let me know that they run a clinic at the office 3 days/week, providing a cheaper alternative to the in-office pricing I was just presented. Any subsequent pricing that I was shown for x-rays/treatment all felt very honest/appropriate from my past vet experiences.Love for Animals: People who truly love their work, tend to do the best job at their work. I felt like every single employee at this facility truly cared for the animals that were there... not just mine, but all of them. It felt like everyone was in that office because they wanted to be there, not because they were being forced to be there. I mention this specifically out of experience... I've been to veterinarian offices where the staff just looked like they didn't want to be there (apathetic, rude, generally unhappy). Happy to report that this was NOT the case at Oxnard Veterinary Hospital during my visit. This was just my first visit to Oxnard Vet Hospital, but I will surely be going back again. I can't speak to some of the other reviews I see posted on here, but I did want to post my experience with this vet office to those needing care for their animals, but not sure where to go (I had many offices flat out tell me they weren't bringing any new animals in for care). Since I will be taking my animals in for more visits in the near future... if my experience with the office somehow changes or begins to feel like some other experiences I've read... I'll absolutely post an update here. For now... so far so good! Very pleased.

Horrible experience. I went in to get my dog a shot for his itching. I waited over an hour to get seen then when I went back there the vet wanted me to buy so much more other stuff that was not needed and told me to change his food. I refused that and they took my dog to the back for a " physical exam" came back when my dog and said they gave him the shot too. My dog was still itching and irritated 3 days later. Called to speak to the manger and Aubrey called back she was so rude and told me to lower my voice. When I went in to speak to the office manager he didn't do anything to try to help the problem, didn't offer anything for the inconvenience, Just an apology. They're all unprofessional and rude. I will never bring my dog back
