Rude experience. The old lady Kim has a bad attitude and does not treat people with respect. She needs to retire or work elsewhere.

There has been a lot of construction going on over the past 6 months or more. The addition of electric vehicle charging spots for the USPS electric vehicles has taken away some customer parking. The parking lot has been restriped. No more angled spots. They added THREE more Disabled ♿ parking spaces!
Update: The main office is being remodeled, so the PO Box area may have restricted access. The drive-up mailbox has been updated to a single large box. The parking lot is back to one-way traffic.
During construction, the parking spots by the flag pole including 3 of the disabled ♿ spots are blocked off for construction equipment.

The website shows that they open at 9 AM arrived here at 10 after nine and they are still closed with hours on the door opening at 10 o’clock. What an inconvenience after driving 25 minutes

This place is almost beautifully symbolic of Purgatory. Adorned with caution tape, plywood walls, and security cameras hanging listlessly from their wires, the Oxnard location of USPS feels like an eternal waiting room. The workers hate each other and themselves and you, too. Or maybe it’s not hate. Maybe it’s the total lack of feeling, beyond pins and needles, into a woolen blanket of unending apathy.
Silver lining: the fact that I didn’t kill myself after my hour and a half long visit here was a surprising boost to my self-image concerning my mental fortitude — maybe I have it in me to train for a marathon, after all.

This post office is complete trash. The experience we had at the post office was beyond horrible. Starting off with both the women and man(who refused to give me his name) are completely rude. Multiple families came in without filling the application and was being rude to all of us telling us we must finish asap since they’re rushing to close. My appointment was at 6:15pm and my parents was at 6pm. We arrive around 5:50pm and began filling out the forms needed. I finished right at 6 so decided to take my parents appointment. Once he finished I asked if my parents can take my appointment which was now at 6:15 and said no they’re too late and he had to leave. Mind you he was going to see people whose appt was at 5:30 but had not finished the forms until 6. He was very rude and unprofessional and belittled my parents. Do not come here!

Recently repaved and, as an act of aggression against handicapped people, removed drive-up mail boxes.

Who decided to take out the outside drive up mailboxes when there is already no parking? This was a ridiculous decision. No parking and no outside drive up mailboxes.

USPS Store Review – 4/5 Stars
Parking here is definitely limited, I had to park next door at a doctor’s office or something. It was a Saturday morning, and while I’m thankful I got there before it got too busy, it was still pretty packed. The fingerprinting and passport office were full as well.
I can see why some people might think the staff seem busy, rude, or lacking customer service, and I used to feel the same way. But now, before I even step inside, I check my attitude. I remind myself of why I’m there, to get something done. Anything extra, like a smile or a “sorry for the wait,” is just a bonus. I do my best to see the positive in every experience, and I encourage others to do the same.
Yes, I waited in line, but Nanci helped me with a claim. She needed a little assistance (since claims aren’t a common request), and Richard came over like a true team player to guide her. Meanwhile, Ashley was next door patiently helping a customer with a key replacement issue, explaining the process in detail. There were about 3-4 staff members managing a line of a dozen or more people around 10:30 AM.
I try to get names because it shows staff that you notice their efforts, and it goes a long way. Small acts of kindness can make all the difference. I waited about 20 minutes for my claim, and now I’m just waiting on the refund.
While I was there, I did some people-watching, everyday people, young and old, coming and going. I’ve got to bless the staff for their patience, courtesy, positive attitudes, and professionalism. Being bilingual is a huge plus too.
All in all, this was a 5-star service experience, efficient and professional. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is the parking situation. Other than that, it was one and done, above and beyond service!

As a first time customer I can see why they have 2 stars. Rude staff. Please hire employees that want to work and help people.
