Fabric was beautiful. However, the atmosphere/experience was the complete opposite. The older woman who worked there was incredibly rude. The entire time we were in the shop she stared at us and it made me feel very uncomfortable. Out of nowhere she asked where we were from. My family is from Sacramento, but I live here so we explained that. She continued to stare at us in a strange way while we looked at the fabric. Meanwhile, she was nice to another customer who appeared to be a regular. This was an extremely uncomfortable experience and an example of how a business should NOT treat its customers.

The 2 women in the store did not make us feel welcomed. Not a friendly atmosphere & we came from Clovis just to visit a few quilt/fabric stores. Very disappointing.

Lovely quilt shop with superb customer service. I mentioned that I was new to quilting and the ladies working provided a number of great suggestions for me. They had a wonderful selection of books, patterns, and fabrics making it hard to narrow my selections! Everything was very reasonably priced, which also added to my dilemma. I am very excited to try the patterns in the book I finally decided to purchase and look forward to my next trip to Pacific Grove as it will definitely include a stop at Back Porch Fabrics.

My first time visiting Back Porch Fabric in the quiet little town of Pacific Grove. I felt guilty coming to the store 15 Belmony before closing but the ladies were so nice and welcoming! I wasn't looking for anything in particular since I have more than enough UFOs (unfinished projects). But I found a beautiful modern holiday print, snail fabric for a future table runner for my snail loving friend and a cute quilt pattern for chickens! Thanks for all of the help!!! Love the store and I'll be back.

Loved the fact that they offered masks when you entered. There is an assortment of beautiful fabric and price ranges. Some on sale. Found some beautiful pieces to add to my collection. Next time I go to Monterey I will visit them.

I went to Back Porch Fabric to support a local business, but due to the lack of customer service I would not recommend this store unless you are desperate.

This fabric store is a gem. I am a Sewist and quilter and always find great fabrics here. The staff has decades of experience and are super helpful. I love that they have very modern fabrics as well as basics. I have bought some beautiful Japanese indigo prints, always many temptations. I live out of the area, but always look forward to my visits here.

What a remarkable shop! These ladies carry a wide representation of Kaffe Fasset fabrics, batiks and fabulous computer printed yardage! The shop has a warm natural light filled fun feel. I will have some of my fondest recent vacation memories having spent time with there!

I always enjoy visiting Back Porch when I'm in Pacific Grove. I hope they are able to reopen! A trip to PG just isn't the same without the quilt shop.
