I took my foodie friend from Portland to the Beach House for a special meal. We had a table by a window that gave us an unimpeded view of the beach and horizon. Our waiter provided excellent service: attentive and professional, but not overbearing. The calamari appetizer was excellent...we didn't expect the thin medallions of squid lightly battered and perfectly fried. Yum. The beet salad with toasted hazelnuts was delicious as was my caesar salad (glad I was advised to only have a half salad). My friend had perfectly prepared sand dabs while I indulged in the scallop pot pie. Oh my! So good! And the puff pastry topper was perfect for sopping up every drop of the white wine sauce. My friend was thrilled with my choice and kept commenting how reasonably priced everything was compared to what is available in SF or Berkeley. But I knew that! It's a local treasure!

We had out of town guests that we took to dinner. The Beach House did not disappoint! We had a wonderful table out on the deck and were plenty warm as they have nice heaters. Our 4 meals were wonderful! Sand Dabs, Mahi, French Dip and Shrimp w/pasta, everybody was happy. The appetizer list is huge and it all sounded so good, we had the firecracker shrimp and the potato croquettes- YUM!! Overall very happy with everything! Our Server was VERY nice and efficient.

As usual, the surroundings are terrific. Menu is fine, wait staff cheerful and efficient. That said, after we ordered two NY steaks from the "Specials" menu , they had only one available. And then, the main plates didn't arrive for a full hour after we ordered. We have always recommended the restaurant to anyone who asks, but won't be able to again if they can't bring out the meals a little faster.

The food and location was good. The person who has us to sit was very rude but our server was good. It literally took more than one hour until they bring food. I finished my drink then they brought the appetizer. I was very upset and wanted to complain but my daughter didn't allow me. They should know when it takes that long at least offer u a free drink or something. Drink was not good but food was delicious It was a very loud atmosphere For 150 US dollar I spent for dinner for two, I would go somewhere else

A wonderful view with good service. The wine list could be better for such a charming setting, but there are cocktails as an option. The food was a mixed bag. The complementary homemade bread was delicious. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was served with a well balanced sauce. However, the tired piece of mahi mahi came on a bed of crab risotto which was flavorless - the crab was nonexistent. But the biggest disappointment was a honey based sauce generously poured around the entire mahi mahi entree, which did not match the dish at all. I couldn't finish my dish. I was looking forward to this wonderful evening out, and unfortunately may not return here.

We had a wonderful, romantic evening at Beach House. My salmon was absolutely perfectly prepared, and my husband had a wonderful pasta dish with chicken that he described melted in his mouth. You cannot beat the view or the servers and the desire everyone seems to have for you to have a wonderful time.

The Beach House Restaurant, perched with a perfect view of Lovers Point, offers an ambiance that's both airy and inviting. The beauty wasn't limited to the scenery. Our meal began with appetizers, Firecracker Shrimp and a bowl of Clam Chowder, followed by The Calamari Steak. Everything was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The restaurant's thoughtful inclusion of a dedicated sunset menu deserves special mention. The dishes were perfect for enjoying the view without feeling weighed down. Jill, our server, was the epitome of excellent service. Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and always friendly, she made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Beach House Restaurant is a winner. From the stunning location and delicious food to the impeccable service by Jill, it's a place that deserves a return visit. Highly recommend making a reservation, especially if you want to snag a table with a view!

We Ordered the scallop pot pie and fish and chips. It wasn't a pot pie, just a creamy “soup” with puff pastry on the side. Disappointing. The fish was overbreaded and the wine was so so.

Service was not the best. Not impressed with the ambiance which is unfortunate because it's a beautiful location. They need to make big changes to attract people. It was like eating at a pub. The beef stroganoff was terrible. Supposedly it was filet mignon but I can bet it wasn't. The meat was so tough! We sat in the patio which was so loud, I could hear everyone else's conversation but ours. Do not recommend especially if you want a quiet, romantic dinner.

Our meals were delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. They have some of the best bread on the Peninsula. The night-time views from our window seat, of Lovers Point all the way across the Bay to Seaside, were spectacular. We saw otters and sea lions, and a couple surfers.

Great quality food. Even though the online menu had a dinner item I was really looking forward to trying and the actual restaurant took it off their menu. So many options you can't go wrong.

Food was good. I order the jalapeño shrimp pasta but could not find or taste the jalapeño. It was still pretty yummy I just think it's a little misleading. Maybe the jalapeño was blended into the sauce. It was a slow night therefore it wasn't too loud. We were seated next to the kitchen and that's pretty much all the noise we heard. I do recommend this place and would come back again.

Didn't feel like a unique restaurant experience. Since it was a large restaurant with many tables, I felt like I was eating at a chain restaurant. The service was fast paced, food was enjoyable, ambiance bland even though an incredible scenery outside. Just an ok place. I wasn't wowed by food, service or ambience. Total tourist place.

They offered a chef's special and they didn't delivered what was on the special. Instead of risotto with Kim Chee we got white rice. They told us they were bringing a side of risotto and then they told us they ran out. The server apologized. Food was good but don't expect to get what you order and expect to pay the price of the chef's special
