Adorable setting and delicious coffee and pastries. It was busy every time we drove past so we had to stop by on our way out of town. So glad we did! It hit the spot and was just what we needed to get on the road. It's street parking but even though it was bust it was easy enough to find a spot. We'll be back on our next trip!

Last minute, dropped into this place around 0800 on a weekday. Sure glad we did. Had their dirty oat chocolate chai (amazing spice and flavor) and a pumpkin cold brew with an apricot danish and a chocolate croissant. The drinks were very flavorful and just what we needed. Both the sweets were very delicious. Highly recommend the drinks and the chocolate croissant. Would have loved seconds.

The quintessential neighborhood bookstore! The service was phenomenal from the coffee shop to the bookstore staff they all work together to create an amazing experience. I really felt like I was transported back in time when bookstores were a fun neighborhood hang out where you went to unwind catch up on your reads and socialize with locals. The atmosphere is warm inviting and very creative. There were so many great sections to browse through I got a huge kick out of their banned Book section which I thought was really brilliant. I had an iced coffee which was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed it with a fresh warm quiche which was absolutely flaky just the way I like it with a flavorful quiche filling. They had a wonderful section for children's books as well. All in all a great place to relax after a day of walking on the beach or sightseeing.

I come here once in a while to get work done and it has a nice cozy atmosphere. I like that it's next to a bookstore. If I had kiddos I would definitly treat this place like a Barnes and Nobles and take them to read all the time. The only downside is the assortment of tables and chairs for me. It seems a little too jam packed and hard to get around but maybe it's because I'm a bit on the heavier/bigger side. I really do like this place so I hope business goes really well so they can expand and have more room for more customer seating.

A must-visit if you're in town. This spot is perfect for getting your day started, a snack, or catching up with a friend. There are a lot of coffee options. I'd also say their pastries are some of the best we had during our recent trip. The croissants were extra flaky. It can take a little time to get what you ordered, but it's worth the wait. The bookstore, which opens a little later, is really nicely curated. There are tons of stuffed animals throughout, so if your kids are apt to demand a toy before leaving, enter at your own risk!

Great independent coffee shop in Pacific Grove — it is definitely a popular spot as indicated by the line that doesn’t seem to end. The coffee is good and the pastries offer a great supplement treat treat. They usually have 1-2 gluten free treats, too.Vegetarian options: Definitely have vegan and vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: They do have a handful of gluten-free options

Really cute bookstore in the back with excellent listeners working there. Even though they didn't have the genre I was looking for, I was able to explain a bit about what the books are like. They also have animal puppets along with adult coloring books and colorful pens/pencils. I also noticed a human body coloring book that I flipped through. It educates the reader with a paragraph on the left and labels along with areas to color on the right pages. In the front coffee house area we got a chocolate chip cookie to share. They have nice large cookies there. It was busy which is a nice sight to see for a smaller more independent looking business. My husband had a dark roast coffee. It could have been a bit stronger for him but I think he felt it was still pretty good and enjoyed it. I had a cafe au lait for the second time in my life (and the first time in 27 years). I like sweet so I added some raw sugar which they had there and it was really good.

I love this place! I went a few years back and fell in love. I recently went back and it still had the same aesthetic. I plan to make my way back there and sit in the cafe.

I love BookWorks! The coffee shop is so cute and vibrant. I love the atmosphere of this place. It's always super crowded, so it can be hard to find a seat inside. But usually a table opens up. They have WiFi but I saw a sign that said you can only utilize it for 2 hours. The coffee is really good. I only come here once a year when I'm on vacation so I'll always try one of their summer specials drinks. They're always really good. What I love about this place is that there's lots of people working on their laptops but there's also lots of people socializing and having conversations so it's a good mix of both. I also love that it's attached to a bookstore. The bookstore is small, but great. They have a good selection of books and it's always super fun to look through the books. If I lived in the area, I would come here every day. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

Went there because it was walking distance from Lover's Point. The seasonal iced tea was amazing!!! Still thinking about it a week later. And the staff were so nice. Felt welcomed and comfortable

Cute bookstore and coffee shop. My wife got vanilla latte that she loved. I got white mocha that was less impressed with. Probably no whip next time as it seemed to overwhelm the mocha.Got breakfast was well. Quiche was tasty but a tad bit too salty. Apple coffee cake disappeared so quickly, I never got a taste. My cinnamon pecan snail was tasty. Sadly last strawberry croissant was bought by customer before me.

Good coffee drink and Melodious Chai. The girls forgot our flavoring this morning but quickly corrected when asked.

Cute and cozy bookstores, lots of interesting trinkets, like the locals section. Cafe was busy midday without any tables available so I didn’t get the spinach mushroom quiche which looked good and my chai latte took a while

So happy this place exists. I'm often in PG for work now, and was looking for just this home away from home. Warmth, comfort, a friendly cafe with great pastries (croissant!) And delicious pot-of-gold milk...go hang out, bring or buy a book!
