I left out of there crying. I recently moved to the area, but have been with banfield for quite sometime. My pups are scheduled for teeth cleaning next week. I had to schedule a consultation today. They noted a broken tooth and want ex rays, well they couldn't get me in for ex rays until late October, meaning no dental cleaning until then. Then, both of my pups needed their rabies vaccine and low and behold after all of that, they never did the rabies vaccine, it was clear and communicated. now they will be expired. There was such a blatant disregard for my pups well being I simply don't understand why. To communicate and agree the rabies vaccine would be administered and it was not, is horrible, no sense of integrity. The way my pups and I were dismissed and barely tolerated makes me physically sick to my stomach.

Sadly, two days ago I had to put my dog to sleep; he was 14.5 yrs old and not doing so well. I called and was told that they would accommodate me. I took my dog in and we were treated perfectly in our time of need. They took care of my baby, and was very kind to both of us. This is the saddest I have ever felt in my life. The nurse Kalina (spelling?) and the vet Dr. Regalado were incredibly professional, kind, empathetic, and loving towards my sweet boy, Rocky. Thank you!

I just wanna shoutout the team at Banfield. My morning started out so awful with my cat Mo getting in a cat fight and hurting her arm so badly she was unable to walk. I was so scared I knew I had to get her into urgent care ASAP. Now I'm a young cat owner and a student, so I was really worried about how expensive this incident was going to be. Called around to a couple of vets and was devastated to hear how much X-rays and emergency visits cost. But I Got recommend to tap in with Banfield for more affordable treatment, and was super stoked to find out that they have a wellness plan that took off like 500 bucks off what I would have to pay today. I've never heard of another place doing that. I'm about to make this place my regular vet. Shoutout Isabella, Suzie, and Chrissy for being so gracious and sweet and letting me know about the wellness plan!!

I don't like that you can't go I'm with your dog, preventive plan is ok, price is not bad. The service over the phone has declined, I'm guessing short staffed. So far the most important thing my dog comes out calm.

Before any procedure they will explain for any risk and or consequences. My pets have been doing well, even that their services are pricey.

Sadly, we had to put our beloved kitty down on a Sunday and our vet was not open. We found this lovely place. They were great and even called me to check if this was the correct thing to do as my husband ended up taking our beloved kitty whilst I was the one who called. Also did a free paw print for us with our kitty's name. This may end up being our new vet! They even sent a lovely condolence card signed by all their employees. It was very sweet. thanks guys!

I brought my senior dog in to check on his eye ulcer which had gotten worse over time and possible vision lost because he was bumping into furnitures, walking into walls, and had started to circle in place for extended period of time. I called 4 hours after dropping my senior dog off because I hadn't received a call with any updates and was told the vet had an emergency but she (Jessica Wong) had seen him. I thought that was odd because if the vet had already seen/exam my dog, then I would have received a call if not by the vet herself then a vet tech. If anything to loop me in and let me know that they will keep him longer. In any case, what the front desk/receptionist told me didn't sit well so after we hung up, I decided to give them a bit more time and waited another 1.5 hour but when I still didn't get that call, I decided it was better that I go there to check on my dog because he can't see or hear anymore and will get scared in unfamiliar environment. At that point 5.5 hours had already passed with no word so my patience was a bit short. When I arrived I asked about my dog and then I heard him crying/yelping in the back. When I mentioned that I heard him yelping, the front desk/receptionist lady was quick to respond with something along the lines of 'I haven't heard him until just now, he must have heard you' to which I replied "he can't hear anymore. He lost his hearing three years ago." She had nothing else to say after that. I informed her that I was concerned that he hasn't had any water for a long time and asked that they bring him out so I can hydrate him. When they brought him out, his diaper was extremely wet as he eliminated on it several times. For this, I am certain he was left in the crate from the time I dropped him off and was never once taken outside for him to eliminate. Yet, there was a separate fee of $36.50 for "Hospital Team Care." Regarding hydration - just as I had suspected, he was incredibly dehydrated because he drank so much water when I gave him water in his water bowl. After my dog finished drinking his water, the vet tech came out to get my pet and I asked what they would be doing and that was when she said the vet will exam him. At that moment my suspicion was confirmed - he was not seen, however, when I called 4 hours after dropping him off I was told the vet had already seen him. The front desk/receptionist flat out lied and had absolutely no shame or guilt in doing so. I should also mentioned that when I dropped off my dog, the same front desk/receptionist lady asked if I wanted to do blood work which was a bit standoff to me because why would you suggest that when 1) what would be the reason for blood work? 2) What are you trying to accomplish with blood work when the pet hasn't had his examination? I can understand if the examination was done and the vet believes that bloodwork will help determine or eliminate any illnesses/diseases in order to provide a better prognosis. My final thoughts on this specific Banfield is that I was never a fan of Banfield but I was still somewhat hopeful. Well today, I am not. I am applaud and disgusted with this place. It seems they run the place like an ER so even with an appointment, expect to wait 4-6hours before your pet is seen. This particular Banfield seems understaffed for the number of pets they are taking in. There was just one vet and two vet techs in the office. Although I had a nice in person chat (I'm sure a contributing factor was because I was sitting in the lobby) with the vet (Jessica Wong) about my dog's condition and she gave recommendations and referred me to a specialist, I wouldn't recommend Banfield as a vet because of the long wait and no in person office visit. Final note - Banfield's website does say that some locations do offer in person office visit but not the Pacifica location. I'm not sure which location allows in person visit but hopefully all locations will allow it in the near future. It's ridiculous that 3 years la

If I could give 0 stars, I would! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! My partner and his brother took our French Bulldog in for a simple check up for his rash and bumps early in the morning. He had been there mostly all day and they called asking if we would approve of them giving him a shot for his allergies. We discussed it and and approved, without them explaining any type warnings of what could happen to him. We just wanted our boy better and home with us. They call again not long after to approve another shot to counteract the one they previously gave him because he was overheating and his breathing had gotten bad, to the point of his tongue turning blue. Not only that, he threw up and somehow, someway, our boy had gotten some of his vomit down the wrong windpipe and had gotten some in his lungs. They stuttered and from the sound of the vet's voice over the phone, she had no idea what the hell she was doing and told us that he would most likely have to go to the ER. Our boy was stressed and they did nothing to calm him. Apparently, our boy was allergic to the first shot they gave him. Why in the hell would you give a dog a shot without any type of allergy test to see if that was the right shot for him in the first place? They should have done an allergy test before anything. It was getting so late that my partner and his brother rushed to their office to check on him. They told us nothing, were acting very skittish. Instead of keeping him there, they rushed him to the ER, where he's doing much better, and hopefully he will be back home with us very soon. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE! From what friends have told us, many beloved pets have been placed in danger and some have unfortunately lost their lives to this damn place. A BIG F*** YOU! For almost killing our boy!

F*** this place and f*** the people that work there. My dog came in for a simple visit and it ended up with me having to rush my dog from Bandfield to an ER in the city. When we got there the vet told us we were lucky we arrived the time that we did because my dog was practically blue already and could've died if we would've waited any longer and thats all because the stupid incompetent pieces of s*** at Bandfield. Dropped my dog off around 830am. I get a call around 3pm thinking he's ready to be picked up. Nope. It's just a call to go over the issues I brought him in for. Skin issues mostly. Wait.. so wtf were you guys doing for the 7hrs my dogs been there already??? Whatever. So we go over skin treatments and agreed on the shot and informed me they would call me back for an update. I get another call not too long after saying my dog had a reaction to the allergy shot and he was panthing and throwing up and that he "possibly" swallowed some vomit back down that went down the wrong way so there's now fluid in his lungs and they had to stick a tube down his throat to help him breathe. I get another call around 5pm saying my dog was still having issues breathing and they're trying their best to stabilize him. I gave it a little bit until I got up and said f*** it and went over to Bandfield and asked to see my dog. As soon as they opened the door to the back I can already hear him struggling so hard to breathe. Mind you he's a frenchie and with their anatomy they have issues breathing as is. But this was a different kind of struggling to breathe. They were standing there acting like they give a s*** but wanna know the best part? They were trying to administer oxygen to him by holding the oxygen tube by his face. You don't gotta be a vet to know that at this point holding that by his face ain't gonna do s**** Why the f*** don't you guys got oxygen masks? Plus use some common sense. It's hot as f*** in this room and you got a dog struggling to breathe. Turn on some damn air! Could've even put a cool damp towel on and under him to try to cool him down. He's a brachycephalic dog they overheat easily. They didn't do anything about it until I suggested they try to cool him down. Wtf? Why am I telling the vets what they should try to do???? And even when they did try they still couldn't get it right. They tried to cool him down with ice packs which is also dangerous because cooling them down too quick can put them into shock. They don't know what the f*** they're doing over there. Real talk if you want peace of mind while your pets at the vet this ain't the place fasho. Probably got their vet license from wish.com f*** y'all for almost killing my dog

I had all positive experiences with Banfield. I have to Yorkies and they were both well cared for. We are on a plan and we had dental cleaning done. The stuff and vet was friendly and the cleaning was done with no complications. We also had an emergency spaying done and the doctor who did it was amazing and super attentive.

My dog is a very sweet boy, but he is anxious. Rosko needed a check up and some medicine for his anxiety. I was pretty nervous myself when I learned that I wouldn't be able to be with my dog during his visit, but those feelings quickly went away when I met the staff and saw how they interacted with him in the waiting room. They were so patient and kind. They treated Rosko like he was their own. The staff was able to administer shots and give my velvet hippo a full check up even though he wasn't medicated for this visit. Staff, if you are reading this, you are amazing and I am so grateful for taking Rosko to you! You all deserve a raise!
