I brought my pup here for the first time today and was thoroughly impressed! This is the first vet I’ve been to who hasn’t tried to upsell me. Dr. Randle was honest and efficient. I got the test results back within a couple of hours and I got the invoice right away to submit to insurance. Daniela was very kind, efficient, and compassionate. We will be back and I’ll be transferring my other pup here too.

Our family has been pet owners for many years. For years we had been bringing our pets to the pet hospital "down the street" from Coastal Holistic because of the caring and friendly staff. It wasn't until years ago, when things changed and staff turned over and the shift from care to financial motivation became the primary benefactor that we decided to make a change as well. Unfortunately we didn't switch to Coastal Holistic at the time, but instead another pet hospital that was closer. They were fine, for awhile but unfortunately we realized they too were driven by price rather than the care of their patients. Finally, after some advice, we found Coastal Holistic. The best part, some of the staff that genuinely cared for our pets were the ones who came over to this practice! We made an appointment to see Dr Steve Randle for one of our dogs who had a mass that we were concerned about. Feeling comfortable with the initial appointment we decided to schedule surgery (after waiting on blood work). The surgery was successful and the mass was sent in for testing which later came back as benign. We could not have been any happier with our experience with the entire staff at Coastal Holistic. Our only regret is that we didn't make the switch years ago. Thank you Dr Steve Randle, Deb, Jay, Daniela and everyone else who took part in making our experience so positive. We travel a little further just to come out to Coastal Holistic but it is well worth it for the exceptional care and service that we receive as well as our pets. We are also very impressed with the competitive prices that Coastal Holistic offers for their services. Thank you!

My dog injured her back while getting a bath, her lower back of the body became paralyzed the next day. She was dragging her legs and peeing on herself. A few vet recommended seeing a neurologist, getting an MRI and having surgery immediately. If surgery wasn't done within 24 hours of injury, she will become paralyzed forever. That definitely wasn't an option for us. We lost hope and did some research and found this amazing vet. They offered acupuncture and wanted to give it a try. They were so accommodating and scheduled us in the next day. She got evaluated, got acupuncture, took medication to help with the inflammation. I didn't see a difference the first session. By the 3-4 sessions, her legs were finally moving again. By 5-6 sessions, she was walking and jumping into joy. We are forever grateful and thankful! Thank you Dr.Kari ,Dr.Molly , and team. You guys are amazing and I highly recommend them!! Coastal Holistic Vet is the besttttt.

Dear Pet Owners I have thought long and hard about writing this. I have given it time to let the anger subside and formulate some helpful feedback for others. We have been patients of CH for over ten years. Both of our dogs have received all their care there. We have happily paid their costs, driven from San Francisco, and followed through with all their recommendations. Sadly, this all came crashing down a couple of weeks ago. We brought our two dogs in for their annual check-up, this is about one of our dogs, age 11. They did her regular bloodwork, found irregularities, recommended additional blood work, made a diagnosis, and said she needed to start medication right away. That night, while my husband was on the phone with Dr. Molly, trying to understand the diagnosis and implications Dr Molly said we had to come in to pick up the prescription. My husband pressed her on this and requested, they mail the RX or call it into the pharmacy. Further, because no one is allowed inside the very office they rely on a phone call debrief after the visits. During this call, we were told information that differed from what was then shared on the later call. Dr Molly stated, "this relationship is not good for my mental health". We then asked to speak with Dr Cari (who we normally see) and was told, "no, you cannot speak with her". A few hours later we received an email stating that Dr Molly was not willing to write the prescription and we had to look elsewhere for our dog's care (one of our dog's, the sick one). I was angry and sad - we have been with them for over ten years. But mostly, I was left scared for my older who dog who hours earlier was told she needed to start medication "immediately". The AMVA states "do no harm" which, in my humble opinion, was violated by diagnosis, prescribing, and then withholding medicine. She has been reported to the state licensing board. Dr. Molly put our dog's health at risk and for that I am writing this review to warn others. A side note in case this matters to you - they do not allow you in with your pet. They used to, but no longer. Their front office is extremely disorganized, call backs take days/weeks. We were willing to always deal with it because

The best, most attentive veterinarians I have ever encountered. Your animals are in compassionate and well-trained hands at this clinic. I've been bringing my dogs here for over a decade and have never had a bad experience or been given bad advice. They truly care about their patients.

Dr. DeLeeuw and everyone at the clinic are wonderful. They got our girl in last minute for acupuncture. She became suddenly paralyzed and had spine surgery about 6 weeks ago, and we've started acupuncture and adjunct therapy at CH to help encourage her recovery. She did a comprehensive holistic assessment on Poppy, and is helping us adjust her diet to help her as well. Since we weren't able to go in, she even sent us pictures of our girl during her treatment

Kari took the best care of our skittish and defensive rescue terrier, and of us! We had been to two others vets over the course of her earlier years, both of whom felt the need to muzzle her. Kari never needed that. She was so skillful, our dog felt at ease with her. After we found Coastal Holistic, we looked no further. I recommend them without reservation.

Called and left message wanted to make an appointment but no one ever called back, very unprofessional. In my opinion, they should return the call even if they are too busy to take new patients instead of ignore when people reaching out for help for their pets.
