The Jean E. Brink Swimming Pool is a well-maintained indoor facility featuring 10 lanes and a 25-yard length, open year-round for a variety of aquatic activities. The pool is heated to a comfortable 82 degrees and includes a 1-meter and a 3-meter diving board, with depths ranging from 3 to 12 feet. It offers a beautiful outside view, though parking is limited to street parking, requiring visitors to walk in. The pool is primarily used by the City of Pacifica’s Parks, Beaches & Recreation Department, which offers numerous programs, including swim lessons and special classes for children. Swim lessons, especially the Tiny Tots classes, are highly praised for their caring and patient instructors who create a safe, fun environment with music and singing, helping children learn to float, paddle, and build confidence. The staff genuinely cares about the kids, making each session feel like a joyful celebration. The pool is also popular among lap swimmers and those practicing snorkeling in the deep end. While the water is slightly on the warm side, many appreciate the quiet lanes and the overall atmosphere. However, the changing rooms can sometimes be run down and dirty, and card payments occasionally do not work. The pool has scheduled closures on Sundays, some holidays, and specific event days for water polo tournaments and swim meets. Despite some issues with lane sharing etiquette and limited staff intervention, visitors enjoy the pool’s welcoming environment, affordability, and the opportunity to make lasting memories with family and friends.
Pretty chill. The lifeguards are amazing, but the floors are really wet. It also gets hot in the building, so wear clothes that can help you cool off in.
