Pacifica State Beach is a great and beautiful beach with nice sand and a gorgeous view. It is known as a cool surfing beach with typically easy waves suitable for all levels of surfing, boogie boarding, and skim boarding. Conditions vary, with clean waves often found at the very south of the beach, and it is considered a fun, though not record-breaking, spot. The water is noted by some as ice cold, requiring a thermal bodysuit for swimming, while others find it the warmest beach around with nice warm water on the beach. It can be more crowded as a result. Parking is typically easy but can be tough. The walk to the shoreline is easy, with easy access to bathrooms. The area is dog-friendly with a leash, features a nearby skatepark, and visitors may see wildlife like dolphins and pelicans.
Beautiful beach. With perfect sunsets. The elephant seals make it fun and the chipmunks that you can hand feed are everywhere. Good place for everyone. Even handicap there is a ramp.
