Pinnacles Campground Store is part of a very developed campground that has something for everyone, from car campers to cabin campers. The store itself is friendly, well-stocked, and reasonably priced, carrying good supplies for camping and good souvenirs. It offers everything one may forget while packing, including essentials, food items, s'more materials, ice cream, wood, drinks, and rental recreation gear. It is located next to a bookstore with cute items for sale. The campground provides clean and comfortable tent cabins equipped with a space heater, lamp, and Adirondack chairs, offering a cozy experience. Amenities include proper flushing toilets, sinks, free showers with toiletries, a clean seasonal pool, fire pits, and potable water throughout. Wildlife like turkeys, quail, deer, and condors can be seen. However, there are some cons. The area can be very hot from late spring to early autumn, with many biting ants and pesky flies, making head netting advisable. Tent cabins are close to a sometimes loud RV section, and bathrooms are a bit of a hike from some sites. Critters like raccoons and squirrels are bold, so using food lockers is essential. As of summer 2023, major construction caused morning noise. Showers, though free, can be crowded, and store Wi-Fi is only available nearby. Campfires may be restricted in dry months. The RV dump station is only accessible during store hours, which are 9:30am to 5:00pm.
Personable employees, nice cool pool for registered campers. Over 200 campsites on 200 acres. Small store adjacent to pool. Campsite reservations strongly recommended, especiallySpring and Fall.
