Mission San Antonio de Pala is a historical site located near the Pechanga Resort. This smaller mission features a functioning courtyard, unlike some other missions that have been converted into museums. The Native American artwork throughout the mission is noted as unique and appealing. While it may not take long to explore, the mission is free to visit and worth a stop for those in the area. Some reviewers found the mission to be a calm and serene place, with one visitor even able to pray the rosary in the church. As an auxiliary supporting mission founded in 1816, it continues to serve the local indigenous community.
