Returned a car the this location yesterday with a full gas tank and woke up today to find out I was being charged 80 dollars for gas. Do not rent from these criminals.

I rented a car in advance with the app. It was all paid for with debit/credit card. The day I went to pick it up, the guy asked if I paid with card. I said yes and he said that they had to run a credit report because I used a card to pay for it. I was so upset! He also told me it's their policy. I understand that people need a credit repot to rent a house or even buy a car. But to rent a car?! I was so upset. Since my credit report is not the best, there was no way I could use the car. So I had to cancel it. I also had to call their offices and explain what happened and they also said it's their policy. So they said I would get a full refund in a week. I told them this was the worst experience ever and I definitely will give them a bad review. It only took a day to get my full refund, not a week. I don't know what these people think they are. What car rental place does a credit report for using a debit/credit card?! A DEBIT/CREDIT CARD?! This was the worst experience for me. I will never rent a car from them because of this. PLEASE! Don't rent a car from them if you're gonna use a debit/credit card. I'd rather go to enterprise and rent a car from them because at least they don't rip people off. Budget Car Rental, the worst place to rent a car!

Car is very dirty. Windshield has not been cleaned inside for months. Extremely dirty as someone smoked in car and it smells. Dangerous to drive at night when we departed airport. Unacceptable from any company wanting to earn customer loyalty.

Rented a truck in advance, was told $29.99 + mileage. Asked twice about pick up time, and was misinformed. My movers had to stand around for an hour. We had everything loaded, transported to the thrift store and the truck back within an hour. Around 3 mile trip. Received a receipt for $175. Went in to question the bill next day, and the door was locked, even though sign posted said open at 8am on Mondays. Returned later, and asked for bill explanation, and advised the employee about the hours conflict. This person is became very confrontational, and I finally had to yell at him to stop. I will never rent from that location again. Plus,my bill for using a truck for one hour and traveling 3 miles will be $95. Just FYI...

Should be zero. Three cars in 5 days from Palm Springs and Palm Desert. First car delivered to me with low tire pressure light on. Too far away before I noticed. Next morning flat tire I paid to fix and change. Next day stabilitrak fail. Reduced engine speed. Barely an idle. Limped home. 24 hour roadside assistance could only promise some help within 24 hours and I would have to go back to airport myself for replacement vehicle but could not get a replacement until failed unit returned. I decided to make the trip with the unsafe vehicle myself as I could not tolerate a24 hour at best solution as promised by budget. Two hours and 4 stalls later I make it. Only car available has 54000 miles and is a wreck. Scratched and dented from tip to tip. Unclean and unprepared to give to me but I have no choice. Only unit available. I will save the rest of the story as a new review on this lemon. Budget seems perfectly happy to have me use this car as unsafe and dirty as it is. No standards and don’t care. Roadside would have done better if they didn’t answer the phone. Customer service also satisfied the vehicle provided. FYI intermediate SUV really means compact SUV.

This location has only one employee. I am President club member of Avis and they gave a great upgrade of Ford Expedition. Only issue was the car was dirty as if someone just returned the car after off-roading.They should have cleaned the car. They made me wait and ran the car through car wash after I reported it.They had only one employee and other folks had to wait.

Would not recommend- poor customer service experience. Could not pay on the phone, was told to call back and talk to customer service- who then told me that I needed to talk to the location. Who then told me they couldn’t help me. Once we got most of the issues worked out they ran our card. Not for the $300 that they told us but for $500 - really left everyone in our party with a bad taste in our mouth. Will skip Budget from here on out. The price is cheap and it’s clear you get what you pay for.

I was signed up for extra liability insurance and roadside assistance without my knowledge even though I prepaid the reservation without these “features”. Pretty shady business practices- would stay away if you can.

Easy drop off, but don't leave by just leaving the keys on the counter. They will overcharge you for extra miles and add a drop off fee, which is suppose to be already included. I learned the hard way.

Competence and Budget Palm Desert should not be said in the same sentence. My reservation started this afternoon yet when I showed up to pick up the car, they were closed. No mention of that upon booking, no email letting me know. I called the help line and they said they could get me a car at Palm Springs airport but it would cost double

Marco was super friendly and helpful. Even though he was the only one at the counter, he carefully took care of every person in line with patience and respect. He helped us to consolidate our two reservations to make it more convenient for us to pick up and drop off. Highly recommend Marco!

As another customer mentioned , the solo staff is overwhelmed we waited one hour for our rental. The car was in awful condition, dented and dirty and 61K miles. This is an independent franchise so I don’t think Corporate has any influence. Bad image for the brand.

There was only one employee Donald who had to do everything on his own and there was a huge line. Donald was phenomenal and stayed calm even when customers were freaking out. Not fair for him to have to handle it all solo but he was amazing. This location needs to do more to support their employees because they are amazing.
