Great experience renting from here, though the return situation is a bit unclear. I recommend asking when you rent how they want you to return since the gate is not an automatic entrance.

Amazing experience. Fast and easy . Hertz had me a car and on my way quickly allowing me to make my meeting after enterprise screwed up my reservation and had no cars. Great customer service and will absolutely be renting again. Only issue was couldn’t not connect by phone

I had a reservation for a car, got dropped off after waiting an hour I was told they had no cars for me. And there was nothing they would do about it. I had to walk over 1/2 mile in 100 degree heat to Avis to get a car, Avis was great, i will not be using Hertz agian.

Awful service. They continue to charge me for a rental car that ws dropped off on its due date. Keys were left in a Dropbox at their front desk Kiosk. This establishment doesn’t pick up their phone at all for customers or Hertz customer service reps that call the office line to close out false rental charges. Do not rent from this Hertz office. Rent from the Hertz Palm Springs Airport or Indio.

Call several times to speak to a representative no one ever picked up. Trying to navigate through your phone and website is not giving me the information I need. I’m going elsewhere.

Seamless rental car experience with Jeremy and Donald! My parents had a nightmare experience with the Enterprise Location near Palm Springs Airport so I rebooked them with this location and both gentleman provided fabulous service and followed through on what they promised. We arrived at pickup time and their car was perfect, clean, and ready. Check-in took just a few minutes and they were on their way not to mention at 1/3 the price of the previous rental. I would highly recommend using this location for your rental car needs in the Coachella Valley!

I was pleasantly surprised with this location. I usually try to avoid Hertz locations inside of hotels because the service is usually subpar, but from my first phone call with Jeremy it was evident this location is taking care of people. It was tricky finding a vehicle that could seat 6 with a car seat comfortably and in a few days time. I've been renting from Hertz for 13 years now and the Palm Desert location has quickly become one of my go to locations.
Regarding the negative reviews, I want to give a tip that has helped me immensely when reserving a car with Hertz: Book the vehicle at least two days before you need it. Call ahead a few days before as well. That way you give them time to order vehicles from other locations to arrive in time if they are running low. Also -- People decide last minute to not return vehicles on time and that shouldn't be blamed on the location.

I made a reservation for November 7th. I tried to call once I realized plane was late, and was on hold for a long time. I trusted my car would be there when I arrived. Manager said, he cancelled my reservation, and charged me, AND THAT HE DID NOT HAVE ANY CARS TO GIVE OUT ALL DAY. I wanted a car, he did not have one. Then I was charged $42. for a cancellation fee when they have no car to give me. Luckily my friends were waiting for me in the car as I would have been stranded.

The cars are kind of beat and not cleaned well inside. The slightly lower rate isn't worth the additional hassle.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! We had completed everything online with plans to pick up at the hotel at 1030 for transport to LAX for a 3pm flight. We got to the hotel and had to wait 45 min before someone even came to the desk. There was ONLY ONE PERSON helping customers! We left plenty of time for travel and traffic but this slow sub standard service made us late to the airport. No customer service. HORRIBLE
