Dr. Shahriari and her staff are wonderful. They are kind and caring. Dr. Tokuhara certainly knows other wonderful Drs in California. He is the one who set me up with Dr. Shahriari. I wear a special contact made in England to help keep light out of my iris. It seems like a matter of fact but not with Dr Shahriari and her staff. What a fabulous group of people. One more California, Desert Vision listener, thinker, communicator that really cares about people. Even people with difficult problems!!

This is the best optometrist and glass store that I have ever visited. The eye exam was thorough and Dr. Shahriari took her time. I have double vision and am near and far sighted. She addressed all of these issues. All of the supporting staff were friendly, polite, with an attention to detail. They were very thorough and knowledge with the fitting of glasses, types of lens, frames, etc.

I had a problem, my eyes were stinging for two days after swimming in a large homeowner association pool. We searched for a local medical source to diagnose and fix the problem. We ended up at Modern iCare Optometry in Palm Desert where Dr. Susan Shahriari tackled my problem, did a great diagnosis and prescribed steroid eye drops that quickly resolved my problem. I could not recommend her more highly. She performed a very comprehensive diagnostic process including asking about personal & family history of eye problems, review of my current medications and several different eye exam tests. At every step of the diagnostic process she explained what she was going to do & why she was doing it ... using very understandable terminology. Best optometrist experience ever. Thank you Dr. Shahriari!

Can not say enough kind words about this optometrist. Dr Shariari is one of the best doctors, any of kind, I have ever had in my life! She is extremely helpful, professional and pleasant. I felt very comfortable being in her office. It was clear that without her help I would not pass an upcoming DMV eye test. Now am confident I will pass. I also have a macular pucker, and she is addressing that issue as well. Her staff is also the best! I highly recommend this office.

I really cannot sing the praises loud enough of this business as a whole. Everything from scheduling an appointment to the eye appointment to the ordering of my contact lenses has been beyond seamless. It's even been, dare I say.. enjoyable! Every single staff member that I have spoken to has been so kind, so personable and so helpful. They have answered the phone every single time I have called with the most friendly voice on the other line. Each staff member really appears to enjoy working there and that speaks volumes of a business!Dr. Shahriari is amazing. She takes her time with you and gets to know you, your history and your lifestyle so that she can find the best possible solution for your personal needs. That is so rare to find these days in the medical field, it's always an in-and-out, one size fits all experience. Here, I felt more than just a number, I felt like every single person there cared. Everyone took the time to remember my name, remember my situation and remember my needs.I am one that is resistant to going to appointments but this will be one that I actually look forward to. Dr. Shahriari was thorough, caring & considerate of all my eye care needs. Her team goes above & beyond in getting your prescription right & helping you choose the right glasses. I also followed her recommendation to use Hydroeyes for my dry eyes that I was using drops 10 times/day. Now, it’s maybe twice. I highly recommend this practice & the whole team!

Dr. Shahriari literally restored my vision. I was so shocked when she was able to fit me for scleral lens in one visit. At UCLA it too several visits.She first caught a cataract, before my opthalmologist.She is an extremely bright and caring doctor that runs a very well organized practice. No long wait times. The practice waiting room is so soothing, you really wouldn't mind a wait!I'm so happy I found her.I highly recommend her, especially for patients with challenging eye diseases.

Amazing place the staff is great and always works with my schedule and so welcoming, I been coming here since 2018 for my eye disease of Kerateconus. I got my sclera contacts today and had tears of joy because I was pable to see so clear. Dr. Shahriari has done so much for me thank you for helping me see again!!! Beautiful and clean place recommend this place to anyone !!
