Stopped by to buy ear cleaner for my dog. The store was clean and the people working here were helpful and friendly. Four stars because the prices were a little high. The brand I buy is normally priced around $13, but was $19.99 here. Another product I buy is Zymox Otic Enzymatic Solution for around $20-25, but here it's priced for $30. No discount for these items using your phone number either.

The store is grungy. The staff was courteous except the girl/boy that had sarcastic responses and only helped me when I persisted.

Terrible store. 5 people in line, only one cashier (who was wearing sunglasses), no one available on the floor to help any customers, one employee rushing out unwilling to help anyone, when I get to the front of the line another employee drifts out blowing their nails. Just close this store.

Didn't feel welcomed. Asked for help and they told me they would help as soon as they finished with a client. There was 2 employee talking to her. One of them can easily helped me. Then go to register and employee is on the phone. Me and other 2 people waiting.... Decided to leave my stuff and go to PetSmart.

We were visiting from out of town and this particular store seemed smaller and older. Very short staffed with 7 people waiting for one cashier although there were at least 4 other employees on the floor. After about 10 minutes, another cashier showed up. Of course I was the last person in line so the cashier was happy to get the crickets I needed.

On multiple occasions manager Tyler has been rude, and condescending. Today while making a return the associate had to involve Tyler the manager, before he enter the register his tone of voice was rude started speaking loudly to me from 10 ft away, and I explained to him what I needed and he rolled his eyes multiple times and asked how that was his problem. My request is as not unreasonable. Completely unprofessional on all aspects.

today August 27 I went to the Petco store in Palm Desert with a friend to have his puppy vaccinated. After we got the puppy vaccinated we were in the checkout line and were given the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was truly disappointed in the attitude and the lack of kindness displayed by the manager by the name of Tyler. We asked him how we could apply the discount that was due to my friend who is a member of the Petco veterinary services. For some reason it appeared that he was having a very bad day and his answer was to go to the the website. I asked him very nicely once we navigate to the website where do we go from there ? He then replied curtly and said go to the website and turned away. This upset me so much that I asked him nicely one more time who the manager of the Petco store for that location and sadly he said that he was the manager and walked away. Next to us was an associate who turned to us and said how can I help you.? We explained to her that all we were asking for was how to navigate the website to apply the discount that was due to the vaccination protocol. She explained to us how to do that and that is all we were asking for. I was very disappointed in his lack of kindness and left the store angry for receiving that kind of treatment. This guy needs a course in dealing nicely with customers. Someone needs to do a review of his performance and a reprimand for treating loyal cust in that fashion.I am going to never return to that store and I'm going to encourage all of my friends and family to not go to the Petco in Palm Desert with that kind of attitude displayed by the manager of the store. Buyer beware! No returns after thirty days even if you have a receipt! I had COVID and was not able to return before the thirty day cut off! They don't careStore credit only! The return policy is not posted on the receipt you have to go to their web site! Really disappointed in petco!

The store here is significantly smaller than others but the staff goes above & beyond & is super helpful. Staff at Indio location really needs help in the customer service area. Nobody is helpful there! Thanks for your help over the phone today Bruce! You were more than helpful for physically walking to check on a product & setting it aside for me.

I am a reasonably good customer of this Petco location. It s close to my house in Palm Desert, stocked well with many of the puppy items I require.Here is what is good about this Petco.1. Molly. She goes above and beyond for every customer. Note to manager: Make sure she never leaves.2. All staff overall here. This Petco has better staff than other Petco visited in the past.3. Great parking, speedy service. Can order product online, pick it up at the front door 30 minutes later.And the reason they get 4 stars (not 5).1. Annoying pricing policy. Online price is often significantly lower. While they will price match it is a hassle. Furthermore my internet never works in this store. So today they have these pin Nylabone puppy bones in the store for $5.99. Online price? $1.99. 2. To get best price one needs to order online and pickup in the store. Then god help you if you need to change the item for a different size.3. Employee no. 339904 today was out of line. Why? I place an online order for store pickup today. Deal is you spend $50+, get 25% off of their best internet price. Very sweet deal. So I get to the store and employee no 339904 hands me the goods. I ask: Where is my Bitter Apple spray? His answer: We don't have that size. We have the larger size bottle. So I ask for the 25% off. He says: 15% off. Okay. So I get home. I learn that this product only comes in one size 16 oz., that this is the size I actually ordered. FACT IS I ORDERED AND PAID FOR THE 16 OZ BOTTLE WHICH THEY ACTUALLY HAD IN STOCK. HE HAD THE AUDACITY TO SELL ME THE ONE BOTTLE THEY HAD AT A HIGHER PRICE. FURTHERMORE IT SCREWED UP THE DISCOUNT ON THE BALANCE OF MY ORDER. The money does not bother me. It is the fact this dude can't pull the order properly off the shelf.4. Should you return and/or exchange an item where award coupons are used ($5) your awards go away.All in all I love this store. Someone should address pricing and take the stress out of shopping here.

I like that this petco is never really crowded and they have a good selection of treats. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I had to get our dog some greenie pill pockets for his allergy medicine and they had a sale on some blue Buffalo teeth bones so I picked some of those up too.It can be confusing sometimes with the petco pals rewards price when that item is also on sale and when I asked the sales girl she didn't know which price was correct. Luckily it was in fact the cheaper price-one of those buy 2 get one half off sales.
