I toured a studio building in July 2023, right after Wonderdog Management took over. I was hesitant after reading past reviews, but hands-down this was the cleanest apartment I have ever toured! And the new Managers, Tina and Sarah, are awesome! I totally want to live in this building, but the studio was wayyy overpriced - the smallest, yet most expensive one I saw in Palm Desert area (around 250 sf). The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the studio was overpriced compared to similar units at other buildings. Location can't be beat, right in the center of Palm Springs shopping and restaurants. I love that there is a pool, parking, and most importantly - Casa Palmeras is pet friendly. If a 1 bdrm opens up in the near future, I will jump on it!

this place is the absolute worst dump in Palm Springs. The management is horrific they do nothing to fix the services or maintenance of any of the apartments. Water is always turned off. They never respond to you. They absolutely suck. Don't rent here.

Welcome to the slumlords of Palm Springs. I've lived here for six years and trust me, you don't want to live here for your own peace of mind. I still live in this building but they have already made multiple illegal attempts to evict me or make me so uncomfortable that I leave. That way, they can double my rent and charge a new tenant for an apartment that has brown water, low water pressure, cracks in the ceiling and foundation, improperly connected gas appliances, leaks in the ceiling that has ruined thousands of dollars in possessions, bug infestations, drunk employees that will harass you, apartment break-ins, and multiple car thefts right from the parking lot. Among other horrors. Management is a circus. Even though the plumbing and pipes are a hundred years old (literally) they nickel and dime tenants for basic maintenance. I am currently fighting several hundred dollars worth of "plumbing charges" because management forced plumbing services on me by insisting they had to do maintenance on the pipes, but then when they found hair in my drain decided that was grounds for $700 worth of charges that they won't remove. I not only did not ask for these services, I denied them, and yet management still forced them and didn't communicate that although the services weren't requested I am now on the line for $700 worth of plumbing. Absolutely insane. Lets talk about my roof leak. I had a leak in my ceiling above my closet that lasted for 5 years. I have 5 years of email receipts of management giving me the run around and hiring what a maintenance worker called "con men" roofers to fix the roof. Because management hires the lowest pricing tier of services, this resulted in me losing thousands of dollars in possessions that were not comped by management and denied by my renters insurance because the building owners are negligent. I called code compliance and they took one look at the building and assessed a fine. The front staircase is literally sliding off the foundation of the building. I can count six times that pipes have burst in other units and ruined everything in them. Staff is insanely unprofessional. The first maintenance guy had intimate relationships with tenants and harassed me several times. The third maintenance guy was so drunk during his shifts he slurred his words. Once a property employed plumber came up to my unit uninvited just to "see me". Staff on property catcall female patrons. Management acts like they care but tell you what you want to hear to your face and do the opposite behind your back. Main office "Wonderdog Management" won't return phone calls or emails, at all. The whole operation is a clown circus. Think this treatment is just reserved for me because I'm locked into my rent rate? A friend of mine just moved in to a unit, is paying $1400, and already has had dangerous gas leaks, bug infestations, and his front door handle smashed off in an attempted break-in. Another neighbor just had to pay $600 for his own air conditioning unit because they "replaced" his with a duct-taped model that didn't even work. It's 120 degrees here in the summer. Cruel. I have so much more I could say about the way this place is run. A shame, because this is a beautiful building in a beautiful location that is terribly run. If you do research on the owner of the building, theres an expose article that explains he lost all of his inheritance money, which is why they are nickel-and-diming residents for essential services. I've been a loyal tenant who has been low-key and paid my rent on time for six years, even (regrettably) recommending friends to live here. Management is treating everyone in this building with such negligence that I'm here writing these google and yelp reviews. I have tons of pictures and evidence. This building is the definition of putting lipstick on a pig. There are better buildings in Palm Springs that are well-run and maintained. This place is literally unsafe. I'm confident that every

The absolute WORSE crumbling nightmare experience with insane, unprofessional management. So sad that this beautiful, historic treasure in the center of downtown is not being restored and cared for properly. A HOVEL!
