We picked this place because it was cheaper than most in the area. They seemed very nice. It's not an actual federally registered Montessori school but we looked past that as well. One thing that should have been a huge red flag was the fact that they told us on multiple occasions that we could not drop in at any time (which is against state licensing regulations, but we didn't know that at the time) for any reason. At first our daycare aged kiddo didn't seem to have a problem being dropped off even though they had unexplained bite marks and scratches (teacher didn't seem to know how they got them which is odd since you'd think they'd hear a child screaming from being bit hard enough to have bite marks in the evening) and I had to bring it up to them. Most days I'd pick them up and they'd be crying. Then after a couple months our kid became TERRIFIED of the school. Showing them even the shirt for their uniform would cause them to have a complete meltdown and they would refuse to put it on. Then they would freak out driving past the school even on off days. We kept telling ourselves it was just a coincidence. Then we noticed that our child would cower if we told them "no" as if we were going to hit them. We have never hit them. Then they started hitting us. I brought this up to the owner and of course she blamed the other children and said some kids have bad tendencies and they could have picked it up from the other children. After our kiddo started the cowering, I couldn't ignore it any longer and pulled them out. I should have listened to my instincts from The beginning and learned a valuable lesson. Trust your gut people.

At first when my daughter was 3 she started coming here for pre-school. it was fast paced and I felt there was a lot we were missing, not knowing who to ask what really we just went with the flow. she's in kindergarten now and she hasn't gotten hurt, never had lice, nothing bad has happened. She speaks lovingly about her teachers and doesn't want to go back to the previous school. I have had a few hiccups but the were resolved almost as soon as they appeared. I feel comfortable with her teachers and they love the kids. I just think we're lucky to have our daughter go to this Montessori school.

Put nanny cams on your kids especially the babies the teachers are forced to lie to the parents there's a reason your kid keeps coming home sick and injured with a lame excuse that Monique is forcing them to lie

I was very disappointed in this school. My son went to preK, and as the year went on I began to realize, there is very little "Montessori" about this school. There was a huge lack of individual attention. The teachers and principal did not remember important conversations I had with them regarding my son and attendance. I would often pick him up and find him balling sitting down by himself while the teacher read a book to the other students. My son and his friend in class also told myself and another parent that they watch television before lunch. I have strict screen time rules and have kept my son away from a lot of programs. He has seen almost every Mickey mouse and princess movie there is after a stressful year at this school. None of this TV time was discussed with me, and when I asked the teacher and principal about it she said "oh, that doesn't happen, maybe once or twice" This establishment presents something very different than what my child and I experienced.

Excellent teachers! Great learning environment. The director is very hands on and very involved with the school. She taught my son to read by the time he's 3 and a half! This school is a hidden gem in the desert!
