This place is the REAL DEAL! I called for a small repair to one of my sofa cushions thinking I'd have to make an appointment. I spoke to Jose who said to come on in right away. I brought in my sofa cushion and the repair was done perfectly and within a few minutes. I look forward to doing business with DC Custom Upholstery again! Thank you!

Be aware that this business' service quality has deteriorated. I'm a previous client. So on November 8, I went in to order four new outdoor cushions. The needed fabric was confirmed as being available so I put my 50% down. They told me the cushions would be available Jan/Feb. Seemed like four months was a long time, but I said OK. When March came around with no contact from the business, I called to see what was up. Proprietor was confused about which order was mine even though I had the order number to give him. After it was clear that he didn't know, he said he'd have to call me back. When he did call back, he said the cushions hadn't been made yet. Four months and they hadn't gotten around to my small project!! He blamed it on someone else at their business. They lost me as a customer and you all should know that this place is so disorganized that they can't keep orders straight or produce product as promised or even call to advise that they will not be able to supply as promised. This was not a fabric availability problem. It was business disorganization.

Rare that you find a business this honest. I thought that we needed to upgrade the padding in our couch cushions. After examining our sofa, Jose informed us that we have a minimum of 4-5 years before needing to do anything.

Jose Chavez offered exceptional service for a minor upholstery repair on a chair. He came to the house to pick up the chair and returned it immediately. I will definitely return to Jose with any upholstery needs!

Dropped of this pair of stools with vintage bark cloth fabric and asked if the family at DC Custom could have them back in about 10 days. They called 2 days later and said that they were done. Another fantastic job. We had them recover my mother's Milo Baughman chair from 1968. We brought them the Knoll fabric and they did an outstanding job. Very reasonably priced for the quality work they do. Highly recommend!

Jose came by to pick up the chairs and was efficient and punctual. It seemed odd that there wasn't any paperwork and I briefly thought that might be the end of my chairs. However, all went well and I received the bid and invoice via email. The chairs came back a couple of weeks later before the promised date. I am very happy and will certainly use them again.

I had some vintage 1940s fabric I wanted to turn into a couple throw pillows. So I met with one member of their team to go over exactly how to lay out the large repeating pattern, and he used tape to mark where to make the cuts. I went and bought additional fabric for the backs, then returned to their shop with everything they needed to make the pillow covers and gave them to a different employee. When they were done, they didn't follow my directions at all. The two team members did not communicate with each other. As a result, my family heirloom vintage fabric was destroyed. They disregarded the taped pattern layout that we had carefully measured and instead, cut straight through the main images of the pattern. I nearly wept. (Actually, I did, a little.) I was all ready to support a local family-run enterprise. But since the family members involved apparently never spoke with each other about my project's design requirements, irreparable harm was done to my property. I asked them to disassemble what they'd done, and I did not pay them for their work. I cannot recommend DC Custom Upholstery.

Always excellent work. DC has done work for me in repair and rehab of a 15 year old sofa's cushions, my entire yard's worth of outside cushions and outside toss pillows, and is even helping get a brand new sofa topped up. Prices are more than fair and work is very timely done. I brought things down from the Bay Area to get handled here. It was that much easier.
