Just wanted to come here and say I’ve been with JFS for a few years after searching tirelessly for the right therapy office. The staff is so unbelievably nice and Leila is PHENOMENAL!! I’ve been struggling to pay my copays(money issues) so I’ve been avoiding services, Nidia was so quick to assure me that they are more worried about me getting the therapy i needed than they were about a copay. She graciously helped me and was assuring and kind. I’m so glad i didn’t stop searching for a therapy office that was right for me because i wouldn’t have found this amazing group of people dedicated to helping us. Nidia is definitely in the right line of work. They all are over there. THANK YOU ALL

I’m a cancer patient, that’s going through hard times. My electrical was going to be turned off so I notified this Jewish so-called foundation only to get strung along. What they do is they say the they never got your documents it’s funny with the second time I sent them they got the documents at that time my power is getting turned off. And the teenager said, we have to review for a few days. I then said this has been going on over a week in a half. I’m going through chemotherapy and this is how you treat people? All she could do is give is excuses while my power was being shut off how nice.DCM

Jewish Family Services has been an incredible resource while being homeless. JFS has provided some basic needs like toiletries, backpacks, sleeping bags, bus vouchers and a voucher for a free CA ID card. I'm very grateful for the help and kindness of the people working at this location. When I'm finally able to find housing, I will be giving back to JFS.

Highly unprofessional office, the staff will take months just to get in contact with you regarding the intake process. Don’t recommend if you are seeking counseling. Extremely disappointed!!

This organization brings meals to seniors, offers transportation services, home visitations and enrichment programs. Because of covid many in person services were able to be replaced with zoom. And some meal services became home deliver. And visitations became phone calls.Providing a ray of joy and personal connections is what this is all about.

Downright Awful. I went to them multiple times seeking services for a disabled mother and child. From ignoring phone calls and emails to downright dropping the ball, this place proves they don't care.

Juan Carlos Sanchez, ever since moving to the desert communities over 4 years ago, more or less? FJSD staff, have been angels of compassion, support thus far w/just about every need/want necessary to aid in my welfare. Be it financial, counseling and at the time back in the beginning w/bus passes, and an army of networking charities to further aid/support me. Not once ever did I show up broken down or at my wits end and I was never turned away empty handed. if funding ran short, and they simply couldn't assist me. I at least left healthier in my hearth and spirit, due to the FJSD staff w/endless smiles and and graceful greeting...

I was trying to help my neighbor who's in her 70's and showing Alzheimer's symptoms, get rental assistance since it's Lyft to Rise denied her and referred her to them. She spoke with a woman named Julie who instead of trying to help, pretended to be a cop and made it into a full blown interrogation. Grilling her on several absurd questions because she was confused about the months. So basically this person Julie instead of simply denying her, spoke to her for 15 minutes trying to shame her on any developmental difficulties. If they can treat a 70 year old like this during covid they are absolutely soul less and have no regard for ANYBODY. I heard the recording of the conversation (her cell is rigged to record all phone calls so that people cannot get away with taking advantage of her) This woman Julie proceeds to raise her voice and very condescendingly speaking to her like a child on why she didn't pay her rent since April (now thats a shocker because nobody has) Her daughter left in March and she is unable to hold the fort down on her own, but any plea's for help fall on deaf ears. She has a sister coming in next month to help with the upcoming rent but it's the back rent that she just needs help with. First they said well they could possibly help a little and then they basically said "no we dont think you deserve any help at all" this organization is a FRAUD and Julie bullies elderly clients knowing her mental state is under extreme stress due to the current situation. The power of having to manage someone else's money really gets to these peoples heads and it's a shame for Julie to treat ANYONE like this, how about just tell the person you wont help them instead of spend 15 minutes shaming/berrating them? You are a despicable human being for speaking to vulnerable elderly minorities this way.

Went to this practice about 2 1/2 weeks ago to take my daughter for her appointment. While my daughter was being seen, I gave my insurance information to the receptionist to see if they possibly took my insurance. Which is different than my adult daughter's insurance . Lupe made a copy of my card and stated that the person who does insurance verification would be getting back to me in a few days......so after not hearing from them in the above stated 2 1/2 weeks I call back. I am placed on hold for a few minutes and someone picks up and says how can I help you. I said oh I'm being helped she(Lupe) put me on hold, she says you were transferred to me. I'm like okay who are you? She states Trixie....So I then explain again why I'm calling; do you take my insurance? She states no we don't. I'm like why didn't anyone call me back? She states we don't reach out, we wait for you to call us. What in the world. Why wasn't I told this. She states in a very unconcerned manner, "I don't know."

What little I know of this organization is they take homeless and guys just getting out of prison and set them up in an apartment and food and lots of other stuff. And in return they do NOTHING to better themselves what a waste.
