Our pet was killed by a Coyote on the evening of January 20th, 2024, leaving our family in significant anguish, helplessness and extreme sadness. On Sunday morning we decided to have our pet cremated, and found Pet Cremation Services of the Desert, via a web search. Following their website instructions, I sent an e-mail Sunday Morning, (1/21/24 at 11:36 AM) to
[email protected], the owner of this company, asking for consultation of types of service, costs, etc., and leaving two ways to contact me. In addition, at 12:00 Noon, I called their number and asked for a call back. Later, I received a call back from someone, who was so insensitive and compassionless, I thought it was a prank call. I asked again, who they were calling from, and in his very rapid and cold hearted speech, I learned he was from Pet Services! Knowing I had not much choice at this point, (not to mention what to do with my pet's body) I reluctantly made and appointment for the following day at 12:00 PM. At this point, I was starting to have reservations about having these callous people having anything to do with our beloved pet. I also read a number of very negative posts on line regarding experiences of others, and decided if I hear back from the Cary, I would discuss my concerns and hopefully would probably follow through with the appointment. On Monday morning, (1/22/24) not hearing anything, I sent yet another email to Cary at 9:38 AM, asking if there was any problems for not responding to our plea for help. At this point, I decided if she didn't contact me, I would cancel my appointment. At 11:24 AM, I sent another email to Cary, asking her to Please contact me a soon as possible. I expected her immediate response, but of course still nothing. At this point, I called the Pet Cremation Service number, which was answered by the heartless, uncaring individual, whom I think was the same one as before. I advised not being able to keep the appointment at 12:00 PM, and all he said was "are you going somewhere else"? I said, that I wasn't, and he said...."give me a call is you want another appointment". So that's the story....cold, uncaring, with-out one word of softness or concern. I'm writing this review, as you have little say in how or why your Pet dies. However, you do have a say in arranging how the next steps, (cremation, burial, etc.) are completed. In my opinion, your Pet deserves your best efforts in treating their remains with dignity and class. I do not want anyone else to experience what we did, nor any of the other negative reviews. Stay away. BTW: It is now 1/24/2024, and I've not heard from Cary, and have found a wonderful and caring Pet Clinic (on Ramon and Landau) who are handling our cremation arrangements. Bill A. 1/24/24
