Okay... I'm usually pretty strict with that 5th star, but it is earned not by their efficiency (sorry, their systems are antiquated and have outdated policies attached, occasionally - 3 1/2 stars-ish), but by a consistent adaptation to these problems by diligent and surprisingly caring people - all the way through their support tiers, as well! So, if you're looking for efficiency, perfectly shiny lots and representatives, wrong place. BUT, if you're a real person and act like such, this whole company will damned near bend over backwards for you (personal experiences over 4 years running).

Rented a car with expired insurance and plates delaying our trip for 3 days before being able to get another car...... and was told I should have just driven it so no kind of refund or discount. It is ILLEGAL TO DRIVE WITHOUT PROOF OF INSURANCE AND/OR EXPIRED TAGS!! As a professional driver I cannot afford a ticket on my license. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND RENTING FROM BUDGET AS THEIR PROBLEMS SOON BECOME THE CUSTOMERS!

Absolute worst car rental experience ever. Pickup was a nightmare, had to wait two hours to get my rental. Only two employees on-site to handle 15 plus customers. The owner Sean is just a sad excuse for a human. After speaking with employees at both his Palmdale and Lancaster locations it was apparent that the dysfunctional substandard service provided is solely on the shoulders of the owner whom has no regards for customer service or convenience, after arriving to drop of my rental I found a sign taped to the entrance stating that all employees were on lunch. After contacting corporate and waiting over two hours and employee showed up and informed me that he was having to drive back-and-forth between the Lancaster and Palmdale locations in order to assist customers because the owner is too cheap and inconsiderate to hire more employees.‘s . What a scumbag.

The people that work for this company are crooks . I call them & speak to two different people because i was shopping around and at first they had the best deal. When you go in , make sure you read your paperwork. They charged me 5 times what they quoted me on the phone. Not double, not triple , 5 times. Went from $35 to $160. This happened because of a couple things. One , i didnt grab the car. It was for someone else & two , just simple , CROOKS !!!

First time around I was not sure what i was getting myself into but its my 3rd time renting with them. Its super convenient & clean cars ? ? always their to answer any concern or questions. Definitely going back .

I had a great experience. I had trouble with my debit card and Victor helped me to another location. I was given a ride and taken to the Lancaster location. My next rental was Smooth as well. I was again helped by Victor. He was very helpful and went above and beyond to help meet my needs. I truly appreciate the service here. Even though Victor was the one to help me with my rental I also want to thank the crew as well. Their attention to detail when cleaning the cars is awesome. I look forward to my next rental visit and experience at this location.

I will never rent from them again. I rented an SUV online and when I went into the office to pick it up at my scheduled time( only one person working the desk) he tells me they don't have an SUV, that they can put me in a car. I didn't like that because this isn't the first time they've not had the cars even though the online reservation goes through. So I say fine, will you reimburse me for the difference I paid for the SUV since I'll be getting a car? He tells me NO because the car is going for more the the SUV price I paid! I was in disbelief so you tell me: you don't have any SUV's that I paid for then I won't get reimbursed for the difference. So I told him I don't want the car either and I want my money back. He tells me to call customer service. So I ask him don't put in his system like I canceled because I'm going to request a FULL refund and He had the nerve to tell me when your on the phone with customer service LIE and say you didn't pass the credit check so they will give you your money back. I couldn't believe he told me to LIE about something that THEY did. I told him HELL NO I'm not lying about no DAMN credit check when that wasn't even the case, You guys didn't have the SUV and was a j*** about appeasing the customer because the whole time he's handling my transaction he had HORRIBLE customer service and a very IT IS WHAT IT IS ATTITUDE. Victor is nice but those others guys in there are HORRIBLE and have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. I WILL NEVER EVER RENT FROM THEM AGAINI explained everything to the customer service rep. and they refunded me in FULL
